Mac and cheese, truffle fries, buttermilk chicken sandwich.

Wow I had a fantastic dinner here the other day! We stopped by on our way to another event so we didn't want to have too many leftovers and decided to share some things. Well we over ordered, of course, but I'm not disappointed! The guy at the front was SO friendly. They have a very unique menu ranging from chicken sandwiches, to ramen, to pork chops. We decided to get the buttermilk chicken sandwich, the Mac n cheese, and the truffle fries. Everything was fantastic and I highly recommend it. I'm honestly just trying to figure out another excuse to get up to that area so we can eat there again!

Guess Dave got tired of wandering :) So he locked up the truck and opened a small eat-in or take out spot in the mall. We should rejoice as his food is now available year-round, and can be enjoyed sitting down, with excellent service to boot! This was a road trip stop for lunch, guided by the stellar reviews. We concur. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable - giving us some background on Dave, their plans for further expansion, while taking care of table service and doing the "little things" that distinguish superior restaurants from all the rest (like cleaning the menus). The tuna tacos (3 per order) were fresh and flavorful- served with Siracha Slaw and a soy vinegar sauce. Plenty of food for a full meal or a share. My wife's grilled chicken with brie and apple was served on a fresh baguette and was melt in your mouthwatering good. They offer Hal's sodas and Bluestone Lane iced coffees, including a 20 calorie, no sugar, oat milk version that tasted just like the 560 calorie Starbucks Frappuccino. A wonderful lunch at reasonable prices. Highly recommended.

From top: Egg(s) Sausage & Cheese Sandwich, Truffle Fries, Buttermilk Chicken Sandwich. Not an optical illusion- the sandwiches are huge.

The whole experience was magnificent. We went in around 10 am to a spotless little place. Dakota waited on us (counter service) and when he learned we'd never been there, reviewed the menu with us. A very helpful young person- I'd hire him in a minute! I had a Buttermilk Chicken Sandwich- foreground in photo. BF had a breakfast sandwich (sausage egg and cheese) and truffle fries. The chicken was piled so high on my sandwich that I had to eat it as two open faced halves. Fried perfectly and complemented by the arugula, pickles, sauce etc. BF's sandwich was also huge with eggs (2) and sausage crisped up. With "just the right amount of spice". Dave's mom's photos decorate the walls. Bucolic Duchess County landscapes. Nice touch! We can't wait to get back here to try something else. Winner, winner, chicken dinner. Er, breakfast. Thanks, Dave!

I was so happy to see Dimsum on the menu until I saw the prices! Way more expensive than what you get in the city! So I opted for the seafood ramen lunch special for $17 which came with a choice of 2 sides. Service was quick. The place was clean with a lot of tables. I read some of the reviews before coming here and they were right, the broth was not hot enough and was a little bland. So I was very disappointed. I decided to try their sesame balls despite the price - $8.49 for 2 pieces since I was already here hoping that would make it better. Unfortunately it also missed the mark. I saw other people order noodle dish and fried rice and left with clean plates - maybe those taste better. I really hoped this place would be good.

But I found it very mediocre. Chicken potstickers were probably the best part of the meal. My husband ordered the general tso's lunch special, I ordered the spicy miso ramen, and we ordered the pineapple fried rice lunch special with chicken to share. There is a place closer to home where I order pineapple fried rice and it's super yummy and served in a pineapple. This was very boring, and bland. I wished it could be ordered with pork or pork belly, which has more flavor than chicken, but that wasn't an option. It did contain a lot of chicken so would be a decent sized standalone meal, but I wasn't impressed. The spicy miso ramen said it had a rich pork broth with miso added, but truth be told, it tasted like the free miso soup you get with sushi or hibachi. I forgot to add an egg - entirely my fault. But the soup overall was underwhelming. As was the general tso's. Fine but not great. Food came out quickly and it was busy, but I was not impressed at all and wish we chose somewhere better for lunch when in the area. We had leftovers, but it wasn't any better the second time around!

The shoyu came with straight noodles instead of wavy, but it was still good. The bowl had menma, as well as red and green onions. I enjoyed the bowl so much, we went back for dinner the same day. For dinner, I tried the shio ramen, which was basically the same thing, but with a sea salt tare instead of soy sauce. I also got wavy noodles this time and I definitely prefer the wavy noodles. Once again, it came with red and green onion, which i think is a bit overpowering. I would get just green onion next time. The family/couple sets seem to be a great deal. I would definitely return.
