    Great atmosphere, disappointing service.

We were staying in Manistee and drove by this restaurant because it looked absolutely amazing. Right on the water, with a beach vibe, umbrellas, and a great view of the ships next door, it looked like the perfect place to relax, enjoy some appetizers, burgers, and cocktails. Unfortunately, the experience couldn't have been more disappointing. When we walked in, no one greeted us. There was only a "Seat Yourself" sign, so we found a table outside by the water under an umbrella. The view was fantastic, but that's where the positive experience ended. Our waitress brought us four waters and took our drink order. About 10 minutes later, she came back because she had forgotten what we ordered and had to ask us again. She even had to ask us for every ingredient in a Bahama Mama and an Aperol Spritz, which wasn't exactly reassuring. We also kept hearing different members of the waitstaff telling customers they were understaffed. We understand that staffing issues happen, but that's something management needs to address--not something customers should have to experience. After ordering our food and drinks, we waited... and waited. Nearly 45 minutes after sitting down, we still hadn't received a single cocktail. Meanwhile, another couple who arrived about 30 minutes after us had already received their drinks. We finally asked our waitress where our drinks were, and she told us the bartender had stepped out and had just gotten back. At that point, we'd had enough. We got up and left without receiving our drinks or any food. As we were walking out, we saw a man wearing what appeared to be a chef's uniform being arrested outside. Two employees, still wearing their work shirts, were standing outside watching everything unfold instead of working. We don't know if the person being arrested was the bartender, the chef, or someone else, but given what we had just been told, it certainly made us wonder what was going on behind the scenes. It's a shame because this place has an incredible location and so much potential. We were genuinely excited to eat here, but the service completely ruined the experience. We understand restaurants get busy and unexpected things happen, but forgetting our order, making us wait 45 minutes without a single drink, repeatedly telling customers you're understaffed, and serving people who arrived long after us first is simply unacceptable. We left hungry, frustrated, and extremely disappointed. The waterfront setting deserves a restaurant with service to match.

Brand new restaurant with an experienced chef! Dined on a Friday night at 7pm. Quickly found a table inside, outside was a 15-20 minute wait. What a beautiful view! Drinks arrived fast. Generous, fresh side salads, lovely garlicky balsamic dressing and a nice Cesar. I opted for the Salmon which was perfectly cooked. Husband really enjoyed his Pistelo Pasta dish, slightly spicy Cajun dish. Mother in law raved about the Peach Moscato Chicken. Looking around it was a popular dish. What a wonderful addition to Manistee! Great experience. Just wish I would have been offered a second drink with dinner. We will be back to snag a table outside!

    Scallop Bucatini & 'Stee Sunset

We wandered in for our anniversary. Our first time in. My dinner was the special scallop dish very good & 'stee sunset. Hubby had Carbonara which was okay but would have been better with the chicken ordered. It somehow hit omitted. Overall positive experience. Next time will try the burgers or tacoes & hopefully be enjoying the outside seating.

The staff were extremely friendly and very attentive. We could tell they were very passionate about their food and drinks which made us eager to try it We started off with drinks. We got Hermes Wing and French Blonde. Both very elevated and balanced cocktails which were beautifully presented. We could drink them all day For appetizer we got the prosciutto wrapped brie. I'm not a prosciutto fan to be honest but my husband was and he encouraged us to try it anyways. I was pleasantly surprised. The prosciutto was cooked to be like a crispy thin piece of bacon. It worked perfectly with the hot honey glaze and to our surprise in house candied nuts. This was an exquisite mix of sweet and savory. For dinner everything on the menu looked really good and we wanted to try it all! We got the sea bass with black rice. I don't know what exactly they put in the sauce but it was by far the best sea bass I've ever had. The pairings with the sauce and rice were intentional and worked extremely well. My husband got the blackened swordfish which was cooked to perfection. This is not a common menu item we see and so we jumped at opportunity to try it. The outside of the fish was crispy but the inside juicy. It paired well with the tzatziki sauce to give a coolness to the blackened fish. We heard the pork ribeye was a must have from other customers so we decided to give that a try as well. The pork was extremely tender and juicy. It was paired with apples which I've never had before with pork but it not only elevated the already delicious pork but also gave a unique flavor and twist Mid dinner we ordered the Figtini and Greek Martini. Again, both did not disappoint. The Figtini was very delicious and you could taste the fig. The Greek Martini was perfect especially for my husband who will get a dirty martini wherever we go Lastly, we got the Tiramisu for dessert. This is absolutely a must have. I love tiramisu and this was a creative and delicious twist on the classic. It had a mix of fresh berries drizzled with caramel sauce. Heaven on a plate Overall 10/10 experience. We will definitely be back. PS I also realized their menu on yelp is not updated. Not sure why but I took pictures from their Facebook page of the updated menu and attached here

We were seated pretty immediately and our waitress was fairly attentive. While I don't remember the cocktail name, it was delicious! Finally...a good restaurant on River Street! We're in Manistee about a dozen times a year and I'm…read moreso burnt out on not having good places to eat. If you're looking for good Mexican, skip 'Taco Bout It' (which is very generic Americanized Mexican fare) and go here instead! This place just opened in the old River Street Station location and it's now my favorite place around town. Authentic Mexican food and drink in a very cool "Day of the Dead" style atmosphere. Awesome custom murals and decorations inside. It was totally empty when we walked in at 3pm on a Wednesday (to be expected) so we got 1 on 1 service at the bar. Food was super fresh and made to order. The freshly fried taquitos with super fresh veggies were awesome, and the tequila drinks were solid. I'll go here again the first chance I get. I feel like some restaurants in Manistee think they're fancy but are just overpriced and the food isn't very good (lookin' at you Golden Stag and Blue Fish). Then you have second tier food at Taco Bout It, Fricanos and North Channel. The food at these places almost seem like the quality of "theme park food" (generic and not very fresh). This place, IMO, is a big step forward. Fresh and authentic, probably family-owned (that was the vibe I got), with a great atmosphere (they were jammin' some modern Mexican music videos on the tv over the bar, which is WAY better than places that play ESPN or some political news channel). I predict that, if they can last until summer and have a good business-minded owner, they'll be jam packed all summer long. Or at least I hope so because I want it to be here, and be thriving, each time we visit Manistee!

I really liked on how we could see the river from our seats. We got the chips and salsa with the guac and the salsa. The salsa was perfect a bit spicy but the guacamole had lots of tomatoes and I thought it would be more avocado but that's totally all right. The chips were nice and airy and crunchy, but they weren't free. We had to pay for them. The workers were sort of nice. When I saw the shrimp tacos, I thought maybe they would be breaded but I was wrong and I did not like the tacos because they were grilled and I really like it when they're breaded and fried which is all right. But it also came with some rice and it was very good. The servers were a bit slow, not gonna lie but there's always room for improvement. I wish you would've came in and checked up how we were doing maybe ask for we want some refills maybe. The bathrooms were pretty mad, but it doesn't really matter. It took awfully long to get her check and it wasn't very packed in so still kind of slow. Overall, I think it was above average, but still need some improvements.
