I have been to Walt's Garage a fee times over the past few years. The work is done correctly, but it is a bit pricey and sometimes Walt seems to have a bit of an attitude. My most recent experience has turned me away for good. Went in for help removing a broken brake caliper bolt. I am a DIY mechanic whenever possible. While replacing calipers, a bolt broke. I didn't have time/tools or expertise to rectify. I asked Walt for help and explained I would complete caliper replacement at home (Walt will not install parts he doesn't purchase...no markup to be had). When I got the vehicle home, the bolt was removed and replaced with makeshift bolt, but to my dismay, the lugs were so tight I broke my tire iron, burned up an impact wrench and broke 4 of 5 lug nuts removing them. Needless to say I was less than pleased. In addition, I had another repair quoted, he quoted $415, another more reputable shop (Wrench Auto) completed the repair for $250! Guess who will get my business in the future? read more
