MCS Water Technology

We had to MCS to install the saltwater tank system and filter under the sink…read more The technician was very professional and did a excellent job This is the second time we had MCS installed the saltwater system. It's very reliable. I highly recommend others who want to install a saltwater system should go to MCS

When the water purifier in my shop suddenly broke down, I contacted the original company that…read moresupplied it for repairs. At first, they proposed: $210 to replace the filter, plus $180 to install a new machine (the machine itself not included). I explained that I already had an unused backup unit of the same brand and model, also purchased from them. I only needed the old unit removed and the spare one installed, without replacing the filter. Based on their original logic, it should have just been the $180 installation fee. However, they changed their story and said that removing and reinstalling would cost $360 -- then added, "We can charge you $280." After that, they strongly pushed me to buy a brand-new machine for $700-800, with installation charged separately. The technician even claimed that removing the machine would cause continuous leaking because he "couldn't find the water valve," and that many parts would be needed for replacement. But the valve was right next to the machine, clearly visible. As a professional, saying he couldn't find the valve was hard to understand. If they had been transparent from the beginning -- for example, clearly stating $180 service fee plus $100 additional part -- I might have accepted it. But constantly changing the quote, exaggerating the difficulty, and steering me toward buying a new machine only made me feel like they saw me as an easy target. In the end, I handled it myself. The whole process took less than 10 minutes. No extra parts were needed -- just turning off the water valve, disconnecting the tubing, and reconnecting it to complete the swap. Sigh... I understand that every business wants to make money, but the way you do it really matters.

I have one good thing to say about this company, which is once the system is installed correctly it…read moreworks (not so sure yet on the system being advertised to clear up scale on the faucets just yet but I will update my review within 6 months of usage). Problems: 1. Sales person advertised that the system could be installed in the garage with no problem (mind you the actual techs were not present). - This was not the case as when the techs showed up, they indicated would need to dig across the entire property to install in my garage based on where my water main was located, thus my filter was installed outside which is subject to weather issues. They convinced me that they had some weatherproofing methods available and there would be a bypass installed in the event of freezing, etc. 2. The salesman (they will visit you) advertised that the technicians had all necessary tools to see existing structures/cables underneath the ground and if indeed they did hit anything they would repair it (to include sprinklers). - When the technicians arrived, they immediately started digging and asking questions that the sales person had the answer to the day prior. Puragain hit internet cables and sprinkler power cables. It took them 2 days, plus a couple of call backs (explain this in next one) to complete the installation. Installation was advertised to take half a day. Thus I spent New Year's Eve holding a flashlight to assist the team that was unprepared for the job. They arrived at 9:00am and left that night at 9:30pm. 3. Call backs: The technicians came unequipped to perform the work required the 1st time and tore up the yard during the installation. We called them out 3 times to pound back the soil and grass they removed during the installation. Additionally, they forgot to cut the water main back on after they claimed they were finished, thus we had no water flowing after about 5 minutes of trying to get the air out of the pipes as instructed. Thus they came back and cut that back on. Lastly, when I tested the sprinkler system, an immense pressure built up just underneath the filter and water blasted all the way up to the second story of my house (no damage to the house) but they had to come and fix that as well). 4. Sprinkler Issue: They were able to fix the pressure problem underneath the filters, reconnect the internet power cables successfully, but they severed my sprinkler power cables (~ $800), and still 2 zones in my front yard are not working. The ultimate worse thing is that Puragain said they would pay for the Sprinkler technicians required fixes (in writing). They have not paid a penny and it's been just short of two weeks in requesting a status on paying for an invoice to fix my two zones in my front yard and send us a check for the ~$800 when the service tech came out prior. The Heath TX City Manager, who is somewhat of an owner of Puragain, multiple responses to this issue has been that the invoice was sent over to Accounting (no payment) and that he had not heard back from Accounting. Bottom Line: I would never recommend this company to anyone at this time.

I'm still recoiling in horror as I write this…read more We've been using Phresh for alkaline water delivery for about 3 months and have enjoyed the convenience. But while my husband and I were changing out an empty 5-gallon bottle, we noticed a white, thumb-sized fleck floating at the bottom. At first I assumed it was just a piece of plastic from the cap, so we emptied the bottle to check. To my absolute horror, it was a slug. We had been drinking water from that bottle for the past week with a SLUG floating in it. I gagged immediately. It was absolutely disgusting and alarming. Another reviewer mentioned finding a paintbrush and pencil at the bottom of their bottle, and I wish I found that than this. How sanitary is their bottling and quality control process if a slug can end up inside a sealed bottle unnoticed? I'm still sick over it. I wish I had taken a picture, but I was so disgusted that I immediately dumped it down the sink. Going to refill my own water from now on, at least I can see the cleanliness with my own eyes that way.

Upon emailing back and forth with "Cynthia" her exact words are "Dear Jonathan,   I am sorry for your current situation regarding you never receiving your order. I spoke with my Sales Manager and I have been informed that, Yes we do have insurance on some items but it only applies to "LOSS" or "DAMAGED" items. "DAMAGED" meaning broke/cracked during (USPS) transit. "LOSS" meaning the item got lost; has no movement during (USPS) transit.   And, unfortunately once the shipping service (USPS) states that your item has been labeled "DELIVERED" to it 's shipping address; insurance can no longer apply.   I am sorry for any inconveniences. I really tried everything possible to do more. I strongly suggest you contact a supervisor at your local post office, maybe they can do something more. Thank you very much for your time and business". With that being said you have lost a long time repeat and loyal customer. The fact this company refused to do anything at all to help rectify this is appalling, disgusting, insulting, and messed up. They don't value customers at all and they are just another greedy company that puts money in front of people Stay away from this company!!!

I'm put on hold for an hour after I tell them I'm not a new customer and the system cannot find my account. Now our machine is not working properly, so we can't use the little bit of water left. After 43 minutes of waiting today, I spoke with a very rude Maz of customer service who told me they have gone through a system upgrade and my April 17 delivery would now be May 9 and I would need to request a credit for the previous month. She also told me to use my time while waiting online to multitask and use a different phone for conference calls. This is not ethical.
