I have one good thing to say about this company, which is once the system is installed correctly it works (not so sure yet on the system being advertised to clear up scale on the faucets just yet but I will update my review within 6 months of usage). Problems: 1. Sales person advertised that the system could be installed in the garage with no problem (mind you the actual techs were not present). - This was not the case as when the techs showed up, they indicated would need to dig across the entire property to install in my garage based on where my water main was located, thus my filter was installed outside which is subject to weather issues. They convinced me that they had some weatherproofing methods available and there would be a bypass installed in the event of freezing, etc. 2. The salesman (they will visit you) advertised that the technicians had all necessary tools to see existing structures/cables underneath the ground and if indeed they did hit anything they would repair it (to include sprinklers). - When the technicians arrived, they immediately started digging and asking questions that the sales person had the answer to the day prior. Puragain hit internet cables and sprinkler power cables. It took them 2 days, plus a couple of call backs (explain this in next one) to complete the installation. Installation was advertised to take half a day. Thus I spent New Year's Eve holding a flashlight to assist the team that was unprepared for the job. They arrived at 9:00am and left that night at 9:30pm. 3. Call backs: The technicians came unequipped to perform the work required the 1st time and tore up the yard during the installation. We called them out 3 times to pound back the soil and grass they removed during the installation. Additionally, they forgot to cut the water main back on after they claimed they were finished, thus we had no water flowing after about 5 minutes of trying to get the air out of the pipes as instructed. Thus they came back and cut that back on. Lastly, when I tested the sprinkler system, an immense pressure built up just underneath the filter and water blasted all the way up to the second story of my house (no damage to the house) but they had to come and fix that as well). 4. Sprinkler Issue: They were able to fix the pressure problem underneath the filters, reconnect the internet power cables successfully, but they severed my sprinkler power cables (~ $800), and still 2 zones in my front yard are not working. The ultimate worse thing is that Puragain said they would pay for the Sprinkler technicians required fixes (in writing). They have not paid a penny and it's been just short of two weeks in requesting a status on paying for an invoice to fix my two zones in my front yard and send us a check for the ~$800 when the service tech came out prior. The Heath TX City Manager, who is somewhat of an owner of Puragain, multiple responses to this issue has been that the invoice was sent over to Accounting (no payment) and that he had not heard back from Accounting. Bottom Line: I would never recommend this company to anyone at this time. read more

System stopped working all of a sudden. No pressure drop indication. I was using water during day and all of a sudden stopped. Pressure was good before and then in went to zero. Bypass should be plumbed in in case of these issues. I called 5 hrs ago and no response. Had to call a plumber. Called the salesman as well no answer. 5hrs + with no water in your house is not ok. Just had the Puragain water system installed with the alkaline water system. So far everything is good we can actually taste the difference in our water. Our installer Francisco did a fantastic job. He was also helpful giving us a few tips on some of our previous valves. System looks very solid, since it is installed outside wondering how it would stand on days that is over 100 degrees only time will tell. We can actually tell some differences in our shower water and love our alkaline system. On the filter will deal with that when it is time to replace. Wish the had zero finance for 12 or so months plan on paying for the year is over. read more

I have not worked with this company or had a tech on site. The initial call that I had with a representative was impersonal. During my initial communication which was a brief phone call it did not feel as though questions were welcome. The person who my initial phone call was with did not know what kind of system they were selling. I understood that it was a salt-free system, but she didn't have the information as far as what the replenishment would be or maintenance would be. She did not know if it was citrus based or potassium based for instance. After the initial phone call it sounds like next step is to have a tech come out to do water test testing and review those details of the system. During the initial conversation, I had already gotten the information that they were significantly above price points that had been provided by other companies. Had for over a year and water quality is fantastic. Reason for three stars is because of service. After one year the were supposed to notify me of a filter change and provide service. They did not and I called them to change the filters which was much needed which costed 250 when originally I bought it the sales man told me it was only going to cost 120 a year to change the filters. Also when they changed the filters I told the technician that they need to reroute the pipes because when they were installed it was done wrong. The technician said they would send someone to fix it but they never did so now I have to call again and schedule an appointment. Water is great but the service Is horrible. read more

Buyer Beware! False advertising we installed out system around December of 2023 and we're told our yearly filter replacements would be $200 max. We changed our filters in March of 2025 ( a little more than a year we know) but their maintenance prices have gone up to $450 and that's for the supposed "good" filters and the basic package starts at $325.
