Amazing place , I can finally see and they help me out very well. Glasses took a little long to come back but the results were great. I broke my glasses too and they were eager to fix it right away. read more

I made an appointment because I saw all of the good reviews. However the Dr was just rude. I'm not sure if that's her personality or she was having an off morning. I would not recommend this place at all. And on top of that it's very expensive and I have good insurance. read more

Honestly, this is one of the worst experiences I've ever had with a health care professional. The good: the facility is clean, and the receptionist in the AM was professional. However, Dr. Carmela Larino was anything BUT professional. I'm afraid to provide specific details since this business has access to all my personal information, but I want to provide an accurate account of my experience for the consumer's sake. If you are using any kind of government - supported program, DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME HERE. As much as it pains me to say it (I want to support small businesses) just go to Walmart! If you plan to order glasses online and not purchase any in-house, DO NOT GO HERE. They will NOT provide you with your PD measurement (which is a necessary part of the prescription for ordering glasses, but optometrists have been able to convince legislators that it's only necessary for the glasses frames, and not the lens itself. This is ridiculous- you can't use lenses without a frame to hold it. ) I used to work i veterinary medicine, but i left due to personal issues with the industry (it's emotionally exhausting work), and honestly there is not enough money or security in it. At some point during the exam, she was doing the part where she puts fluorescent drops in your eyes to check for scratches and whatnot. When i had asked if that what she was doing, and i told her we do the same in dogs, she commented on my current career on my paperwork. She asked, why would you work in the brewing industry if you could be in veterinary medicine? I told her I didn't want to spend time with my own pets when i got home, and there's very little money in the industry" She asked me what I meant, since all her vets are very expensive, I told her "you're paying for overhead, you're paying for vet school, the vet techs only make $15 an hour, most vets only make 80K and have gone to school for a minimum of 8 years, and the average profit margin of a vet hospital is 2-3%. She told me, word for word "There's no way that's true." I told her "3000 for chemo for your dog seems like a lot, until you compare what it would cost in humans". Then she flat out told me "You're wrong. Vets make a lot of money. There's no way you make more than that just working at a brewery." I told her that when i work tap room, i can make $15 an hour in tips alone on a slow night. Then she started getting upset, saying "anyone can do what you do, and you're making that much more". Then she proceeded to tell me that it's not worth it for her to accept government insurance clients, because of paperwork and hassle and because they don't buy glasses since their insurance doesn't cover it. Honestly, maybe you should stop accepting these clients - because your customer services skills are atrocious, and the fact that you don't give a PD so that we can order glasses online. (Side Note: I shop Warby Parker, because their styles are what I want, and because they are an independent manufacturer. However, if i want to order $10 glasses online because it's what i can afford, it's my right as a consumer to purchase where i want to. You as a HCP are providing a SERVICE, not a PRODUCT) Sure, anyone can learn how to pour a beer. But talking to customers, and making them feel comfortable and understood and just as important as everyone else who comes in is a skill that you've obviously overlooked. read more

My husband has been seeing Dr. Larino for years and now our children go to see her as well. I have nothing but great things to say about the care received at her office. She is patient and thorough in the examination and aftercare instruction. I was particularly impressed with how she was able to care for my 4 year old son during his first eye exam. Eye exams can be scary and she kept him engaged and comfortable the entire time. read more

My family and I have been going to Dr. Larino for years. She knows what she's doing and is always available for my family and I whenever needed. Her staff, Jenny and Maria are super helpful and kind as well. As for following proper COVID-19 protocols they do exactly that. From sanitizing equipment, each pair of glasses being tried and doing temperature checks. They are only taking appointments so be sure to call ahead of time. -Arlen read more

I've been coming here for years. My eye Dr always does great work and I just brought my girlfriend in for the first time. The other eye dr my girlfriend was going too wasn't as passionate about their career as Dr. Carmela Larino. I'm so grateful to have such a caring optometrist. 10/10 recommend. read more

Customer service is the worst. Their office hours are very inconsistent. Their posted hours are invalid because they arbitrary take lunch whenever they feel like it. Their lunch time is more important than patient care. They do not care about patients or value our time at all. My family and I have been coming here for few years because it is convenient. They are nothing special and do not go out of their way to do anything for you. I am highly disappointed in the way they do business and in the way they treat loyal patients like me and my family. More than once, I have called to check to see if they were open around lunch time. They have said they were open but when we showed up, there would be a sign with a paper clock indicating the time they would return. We have parked in front of their office and waited for them to return, but they have never return by the time posted on their office door. Dr. Larino's explanation was "Maybe we should not go out to lunch then." What kind of lame excuse is that? I truly don't care if they go out to lunch or not. I just wanted to know that they are there when they say they are. Is that too much to ask for? Is my time less important? They really do not care about your time or seeing patients. They have done this to me and family many times in the past. I have mentioned this problem to them, but they really don't care and have continued to do conduct business this way. Again, poor business practices without regard for patients. Today, I called at 11 am to make sure they were in the office around lunch time and they indicated that their office would be open. Then, I informed them that we (by providing my name and my son's name and they should know us by name since we have been loyal customers for years) were going to be there between 1:45 pm and 2 pm to do an adjustment for our eye glasses. We arrived at 1:50 pm and saw the sign on the front door indicating they would return at 2:30 pm. Their office was closed and the door was locked. I was infuriated that it was happening again. We waited until 2:35 and then we left. My son in the car said, "Mom, why do they do this all the time?" This made us feel like we don't matter to them. They have called to say they were "sorry", but it is too little, too late. We have forgiven them too many times and today was the last draw. This is a small mom and pop type of business that needs to get their act together or they will go out of business. No one needs this type of headache or the aggravation! read more
