This is your run of the mill Walmart, but it may be harder to find parking because it is located next to a Costco Business Center. As with many Walmarts, there are the occasional solicitors standing outside. Usually I decline their offers, but I at least acknowledge them because it is a non-thankful job. This location has a McDonalds inside so a lot of times you will see the line there spill out into the Walmart section. I notice that this Walmart doesn't have similar sales of on clearance items like other Walmart stores. I think that is usually the store manager's decision, which they seem to be frugal with the sales. In addition, it took me awhile to find a price scanner because they do not have a giant sign that indicates a price scanner location. You have to walk around and look at the columns in the middle of the walkway to see if there is an attached screen for pricing. The selection of greeting cards here are sparse and I have seen many damaged ones left back on the shelves. On a positive note, the self-checkout lines are always available since most people who shop here choose to stand in a cashier's line. It makes my purchases go by much faster. read more

This walmart had accused my brother of stealing a bag of chips and i believe it was racially motivated. The worker at self checkout was staring at my brother while he was buying his chips and he made sure to scan the chips then has the audacity to ask if he paid for the chips. We also witnessed today a homeless man purchasing his needs and the workers plus 3 security were also accusing him of stealing!! He was showing his receipt to the security and the security were being aggressive to him because of the fact that he was homeless. I expected more from a local store. Yelp Challenge 2015. 271/365 Tis the season and this holiday season security is tight. And its crazy. Lots of signs where to stand, where to pay. Plenty of baracades set up for crowd control. Lots of contracted employees in street clothes. Walmart is not on my list of favorite places buuuut, for small things they have better prices than competitor stores. But, some things are also more expensive here than there. Like toliet paper.... $7.99 for 12 rolls for the good stuff. Never ever buy cheap TeePee unless of course your 13 and going exterior decorating. Listen, exact same stuff is sold elsewhere for cheaper. Coffee...is cheaper here. KCups, ground coffee much much cheaper by a couple bucks. DVDs cheaper too. Makeup not cheaper. See there are no sales here BOGO like other places. Mascara is full price. Lots of cool gift sets here. Actually 1 caught my eyes. The Sbux mugs and coffee sets. I hope my Secret Santa gets me one. But from lotions, purfumes, candles, plenty of good ideas for those who are on a budget. They even have coal if your naughty. Now the customers here may not have a whole lotta manners or a license to push a shopping cart. I prefer a hand basket so I can shimmy my way around everyone. Thank goodness Im tiny enough to navigate through the crates in the middle of the isles and around the mindless shoppers. At least I say excuse me, unlike the others. Bathrooms....I felt like I was being watched in the bathroom. When I went in, they were cleaning. As I tried to empty my bladder she started mopping under the closed stall I was in. Hellllllllooooo.....those are my feet you are mopping. So I lost my urge to go. Im shy, I can't go when others are around. I go back 15 minutes later, taking care of business, thank goodness nobody was in there. Then I walk out and a employee was standing right there in the middle of the bathroom. After I walked out of the stall, she looked at me and left. I felt she thought I was stealing something. This Walmart is okay. Easy in and easy out. Heads up the express pickup is only for postmates and delivery companies,if you decide to do contactless pick up you're going to have to go in store to do so(in my opinion defeats the purpose) nonetheless it's not the employees faults they're just trying to do their job and if you forgot a mask because you were doing contactless pick up ,Walmart does not provide a disposable one but instead suggest putting your shirt over your nose. Went to get my truck and oil change. And I waited for o er 3 hours, so I went to check if it was done and the lady at the counter said it wasn't and went to check why. Curbside pickup has significantly improved. Back in December I needed to go into the store and walk way in the back, which made it even worse because of so many people I came in vicinity with (despite the curbside pickup signs outside in the parking lot) they didn't actually do curbside pickup. Recently they started doing it. The signs were terrible I heard recently as last week, but today I drove to the side of the garden center, and there were signs for curbside pickup. When I called the number on the sign, someone actually picked up and brought out the item within 5 minutes.. it's really good they're finally doing curbside pickup after about a year of pandemic, just in time for California to open up again. read more

I over heard three people inside the Disposal dept taking and giggling how they blame people for mistakes and they will blame others for mistakes .. that is not cool. This is the second time I've attempted to get a fishing license in the sporting goods section only to be waiting for an employee to come help me out. Asked for help several times and could not get anyone over to the sporting good section to help me with a fishing license. It's Walmart, it doesn't deserve much more than 3 stars if we're all being honest. Semi clean, semi organized, things in the areas where they should be... and a great place to people watch if you're bored and want to catch any #peopleofwalmart types. Go in, know what you want, get it and get out. Parking lot is always a disaster, no one knows how to park, and the blue light for security towers are always on. i come shopping to this store all the time. always had bad experiences but it's my local walmart so i always go for the convenience. i was here yesterday night and heard a bunch of commotion in the back of the store. i went to the back to see an employee had just been jumped for an ipad. he's shaking, out of breath, distressed and not one worker manager anyone anywhere nearby to come help him or even see if he's okay. he had called for help before the incident and after and still no one came out to help him. i used to work here about five years ago and it's so sad to see that managers still have zero care for their employees let alone the customers. read more

I wanted to pick up a TV mount for a new TV we bought for the house, and the Costco next door is a business center, and they don't have things like that. So instead of driving to another Costco or a Target, I walked into Walmart. It was... an experience. First off, why does this place smell like that? It was not disgusting, but I have never walked into a store that smelled like this place did. They had the TV mount, and it was an OK price, so I picked one up. But browsing here is not something I would recommend. I always check out DVDs other stuff when I go into a Target. Here, I wanted to get in and out. I got the TV, found the hardware section and picked up some mounting hardware, and then did the self check out and left. Maybe if I am really bored some day, I will get some popcorn and hang out in the parking lot checking out "the people of Walmart." It makes for an interesting show. read more

Would give this place zero stars if I could. AUTOMOTIVE DEPT. sucks!! Store Management or Automotive Management doesn't know how to run their departments. Bought tires and they wouldn't install them because they claimed my appointment wasn't on their 'screen' I have my receipt to prove it said 'installation' and the guy said his last appointment was at 3 and he kept repeating it. I tried to be a Walmart girly, but I am not a Walmart girly. The store feels like a tshirt warehouse and it is super dingy. They have the self care section blocked off with a majority of it locked up behind glass. There is quite a bit of homeless in the parking lot which makes the parking lot a disaster. I had to do a quick run into Walmart when unfortunately it pulled up beside a station wagon not realizing what was going on until I got out of the vehicle there was a guy in there shooting up. I pretended not to pay attention I took pictures cuz he wasn't paying attention to what I was doing went inside and I told the manager about it asking if there was security and I told him what was going on he says oh okay well I'll tell him and I'll call the police. I ended staying in there for approximately an hour and a half looking for what I needed when I went back out the two guys were literally knocked out I didn't see the driver when I got out of the car but there he was knocked out along with the passenger looking so high they didn't hear a thing that's how high they were they just had their heads back and their mouths open and your eyes rolled back they were still alive cuz I checked to see if make sure if they were breathing by looking at their chest so that's what goes on in this parking lot apparently and they don't follow up with what they're supposed to do I don't know if it was Walmart that didn't call the police or it's Garden Grove Police it's just so used to it they didn't respond who knows but I'm not going back there so much happens in that parking lot read more

My husband and I were there for Costco but decided to stop by Walmart to get some aloe vera drink. While there, I decided to check out the cosmetic section. Surprisingly, after browsing, I found the eyebrow colors that I liked. I couldn't decide which color looked good on me, so I grabbed both colors. As we walked out of the cosmetic section, an old Asian woman who worked there stopped me. She asked if I was purchasing those. I said yes, but I haven't decided on the color yet. I asked her if there was a mirror nearby so I could compare the colors to my eyebrow color. Immediately, she grabbed them from my hand and led me to the register. I was confused because I wasn't ready. She told me I couldn't take them out of the cosmetic section. I told her this was my first time shopping at Walmart and that I wasn't aware I couldn't do that. She said, " Well, now you know." She proceeded to tell me she was keeping them at the register until I was ready. Did I do something wrong? This could have been handled and explained in a friendly customer service way. I'm a nice person I would have understood. Her rude attitude left a bad taste in my mouth. Crystal went above and beyond tonight. A man was following me throughout the store, and I noticed he left and was waiting outside as I was leaving. I asked her and her coworker if one of them could escort me to my car and she leapt at the opportunity. She even had an umbrella big enough for both of us!! I needed a special calculator-size battery to use the next day when I was going to be in the area. This Walmart location had the battery in stock, so I chose to order it online the night before and pick it up next day thinking it would be a quick stop in and out to pick it up. Well it wasn't a quick or convenient visit. As instructed, I checked in online from the app on my phone to let them know I was on my way to pick up since they notified me it was ready. When I got there, I go to the customer service counter at the front entrance and find out that online pick up is located all the way in back of the store. When I get back there, I have to check in again at a kiosk and then wait in line behind a few other people. It took over 20 minutes to pick up the battery, which probably would've been quicker if I just went into the store and tried to buy it of the shelf. read more
