I absolutely despise this wal-mart it has always been the location on my list not to come to unless I was absolutely in need of something and I was in the area, which was today. I knew what I needed a gift, a birthday card and batteries for the toy. This location is always packed and cluttered, and it's been this way since I was little. Just people and inventory always everywhere. I couldn't find the batteries an employee named Peter helped me and told me several places I could find batteries (very sweet), I grabbed all I needed and the batteries. The batteries clearly said 3.77 when I bought it to self check out it said 4.97, I signaled the young lady employee who had a serious attitude and told her and she said it rings up 4.97 , I continue to tell her all the batteries were in that spot with this price. I ask her if there are any batteries nearby versus me going all the way to the other side of the store which is where I originally started. She told me no. The only place was to get the batteries behind a register where I would need to get an associate. So I simply went all the way back to the spot where I originally got the batteries, took a picture and brought it back. The price was still not honored. I grabbed different batteries took a picture of that in case that became an issue as well. I told her to please remove the old batteries from the queue of things that I was buying and she said which one with a severe attitude that was the only thing that I had scanned was the batteries (I left my items with my boyfriend at he self checkout kiosk while I went to grab the batteries) . It's just straight up ghetto in here. I will not be returning. If you have employees, they need to be doing their job not just getting paid to do absolutely nothing. She much preferred to be chatting with her other coworker versus doing her job. I'm ONLY giving an extra star because Peter was a sweetheart otherwise I would give this place 0 stars. I needed help with my coupon, there was a young lady whom was monitoring the checkout but was looking down at her phone. When I said excuse me and asked for help she just looked up at me like I was bothering her then when I said I needed help she decided to walk over to me. Of all the Walmart near me in the metro Providence area, this is probably my least favorite. It has an older look and for some reason I feel that parking area and the store kind of old and cramped. I was in the area, so I decided to stop here anyway to get some cheese for a recipe I was making. Not being a Super Walmart, the selection is not great, but they did have the basic ones I was looking for. I purchased a considerable amount of plant bags containing tubers, bulbs, and roots. Upon opening the bag when I was ready to plant, I discovered that the majority of the bags I purchased either had less than the advertised number of products in the bag, or the product in the bag was spoiled - either being too moist and falling apart or being beyond dried out. I attempted to bring these back to the store and exchange them for the same item. However, when I got to the store, they no longer had the item. I wanted to just get store credit but I was told by the customer service staff that I would have to go to another store and do an exchange. I was told that another location did have the items so I drove there only to discover they did not. This process repeated itself five other times w staff telling me another location had the product only to get to the store on the same day less then an hour later and the store not even have one bag of any of kind plant left and no sign that the product had recently been on display. Once again, I argued with the customer service people and they refused to just give me my money back or store card. At that point I contacted customer service and they also were refusing to give any store credit. I had to contact the BBB and nearly 2 months later i was told they would give me credit. Then the manager at the Post Rhode location made it sound like he was a manager at the Baldhill Road location because when I described when I was going to be in the area I gave stores on RT 2 and at no time did he correct me. That resulted in another wasted trip. Then, despite the fact that they claim to have the card ready at the service desk when I went into collected at the Post Road store, they claim to have no idea what I was talking about and then I would have to return again. I was finally able to collect the gift card yesterday and when I did, I discovered that it wasn't even for the value of the product that I was returning it was less. I was livid because I had informed them. They got away with this last year because I was an inexperienced gardener and did not recognize that the plant parts were dead and ended up planting dead parts all around the yard watering them using fertilizer all for nothing. On top of that I purchased several more expensive bags that only had a singular plants in there because of the specialty color that it was now the stuff popped up this year and every single one has been a basic yellow. Basically, there's a whole Lotta false advertising going on with these garden products falsely advertising. How many are in the bag falsely advertising what color or variety are in the bag and selling spoiled product. I have a real suspicion that rather than throw these bags out at the end of the season they're actually storing them somewhere and then bringing them back out the next season, which would explain why so many of the bags over half of them were spoiled when purchased in the Spring. I don't know whether it's a Walmart who regulates the staff that actually bag these items or if it's a third-party vendor, but whoever is doing this, obviously has no care for what they put in the bag. They don't even make sure the right number is inside. You might think that you planted a daylily and end up with lupine. You might pay $10 for one root of a unique variety only to end up with the basic yellow they sell 5 in a bag for $10. You'll have to dig up and move all the plants that come up the wrong plant or color. I thought for all the hassle they'd have at least $75 for me but $100 would be more fitting for the 6 unnecessary trips there staff caused me to take. That's not even giving me anything for all the mistakes, the wrong plants, the wrong color, all the labor and time that I spent and will have to spend again to get the garden right. Do yourself a favor don't buy those bags and avoid most of the garden center. They hardly ever water those plants you'll go to the store and see huge displays of plants that have dried out and died in the front of the store because no one has watered them because of the inconsistent care of the plants. Their health is not the best and you're probably taking home a plant that has a 50-50 chance of dying even if you do everything you can to keep it alive. I can't tell you how many live plants I bought that looked iffy because iffy is the best you'll find due to the care that died within a week or are alive but look like crap and don't flower. They won't discount a plant due to the lack of staff in the department until it's been dead for two weeks without water and the roots themselves are dead as well so you literally be paying for the dirt in the pot. Other than that, they expect you to pay full price for a plant that is clearly dying. And again, if the customer could choose to pick a healthy plant, they would, but they can only choose between the best of the half of dying plants. read more

Not sure why the low reviews for this Walmart. We came here twice this time when in town. All we were buying were water bottles and some other supplies. This isn't a Walmart Supercenter but they surprisingly had Silk almond milk for myself (I can't have cows milk), which was good. No cashew milk but I can deal with almond milk. Well, it's Walmart. I've been going to this location since I was a teen and several remodels and a Subway later, it's.. well, still Walmart. It's never been my favourite and for the most part seems a little sad but it's usually very clean, well lit and actually has a self checkout system (hurray!). But what it -does- have that I appreciate is a fabric section. Several of their other locations no longer offer these services and while their selection is certainly limited, they stock all the basics including a few really nice Waverly fabrics, coloured fleece and solid colours for dirt cheap. For all the crafty chicks and dudes it's pretty much a tiny corner of heaven. Felt sheets are around 23 cents and they carry a ton of needles and threads for embroidery as well as for other specialities such as a cross stitching and knitting. They also carry the largest selection I've ever seen of simplicity patterns outside of craft and speciality stores. Is it your typical Wally's world? Yup. This is your typical Walmart. Has tons of parking and tons of stuff. The store is never dirty in my opinion and the staff are always nice to me. My biggest complaint and what keeps this review from being five stars is actually just the parking situation. There are tons of spots but everyone parks poorly and scratches your car. This review is regarding the customer service from the Service Desk at the Walmart on Post Rd. Warwick RI. I have film that needs to be developed and saw online that Walmart could provide this service. Prior to calling them, I called several other locations to get quotes, because apparently film developing has become quite pricy and I have A LOT of film. Today at 6:49 PM I called a nearby Walmart to inquire about film developing. I was told they did not develop film at their store, but that the one on Post Road did. I dialed and the call center forwarded my call to "Photo". I waited for 2 minutes, no one answered and when the line went silent I decided to hang up and call back. This time I was sent to the Service Desk. A woman picked up and asked what she could help me with. I told her I was looking to speak with someone about developing my film, she said "Okay, just a moment" and put me on hold. Another 2 minutes went by and someone picked up... they proceeded to tell me about the various sized televisions they had in stock. I told them that I believed they had the wrong line and that I was waiting for someone in Photo. They said okay and back on hold I went. When another 3 minutes passed I hung up and dialed again. This time I called and asked to speak with a supervisor or manager. I was once again transferred to the service desk. I explained to her, the same woman as before, that I was trying to speak with someone in regards to having my film developed, but that I was just being bounced around and put on hold. She apologized and said she would call the department and have them answer my call. Back on hold I went. A pleasant woman picked up the phone and asked if I needed help with Electronics... I once again explained I was looking to speak with someone about developing film. I was put on hold again and after another 5 minutes of being on hold, it was clear that no one was going to come to the phone so I once again hung up. I called again and was transferred to the Service Desk. By now I recognized the woman's voice and she recognized mine because she said "What exactly are you looking for?". For the third time I explained myself to her. I told her I was looking to have my film developed and that another Walmart had told me the one on Post Road did this. This time she said she would call and talk to the person who was in that department. About a minute later she picked up the phone and said, "Yes we develop film" and then she hung up on me. Now incredibly frustrated I called back and asked to talk to the service desk, the same woman picked up. I told her that I had called and said I had questions about their film developing service, that I had been told that this Walmart could develop film, and that after having been bounced around, "someone" just hung up on me. She replied that because it was the first day of the month, they were really busy right now, that she was the only person at the Service Desk (meaning she was the one that hung up on me) and that none of the employees in the departments would be able to help me at this moment. That she was sorry to hear that "someone" had hung up on me, but that the best thing for me to do was to come into the store and get help there. Appalled I told her that they had wasted 25 minutes of my time and that I was very displeased. If they were too busy, why not just tell me? Why did she waste my and other employees time bouncing me around for nearly half an hour? I've had many good experiences shopping this store. They renovated not too long ago, it looks very nice. The employees I've met have, for the most part, been very pleasant to deal with. I don't know who the woman at the Service Desk was, but perhaps she should not be in a position with "Service" in the title. read more

I went into the store shortly after and the item I wanted was waiting for me. Further, the sales associate, Joe went above the call of duty to help me with my selection and purchase. Hi , I am Hans P, I just went to Walmart on Post Road in Warwick Rhode Island to purchase few Items. Unfortunately, I did not find what i wanted. So I ended up walking around and i stopped in the colognes aisle. First I stopped in the same spot for a good 25-30 mns with no assistance. Then, I went to look for assistance. I talked to 3 white women who were currently on duty, they were very rude to me , they all gave me a very bad attitude and they all have a standard answer " I don't have the key for this cage , I can not open it." all 3 gave me the exact same answer. I don't know maybe it's a Walmart thing. I wasn't there for colognes, but because I saw 2 of them that I pretty much know about. I wanted to buy all 2 together. Well it is a Walmart not a target so you have low expectations but this store is literally turned into a pit. I've been going here forever! Did an online order, pick up in store. Waited about 15 mins for one person to help me after 5 walked by and ignored me. Girl said she would be right back, never came back. Gentleman came to help me another 20 mins later and grabbed the item for me quickly however, the point of online order, pick up in store is to get in and out expeditiously and this was certainly not the case. Waited another ten minutes to talk to the assistant store manager to which the associate had to page twice...still waiting. Went last weekend to purchase a futon and was helped by a sales associate named Alan. He was awesome...got us a cart to transport the box to the register ... Helped us tie the box in the trunk of my car even helped my husband out in finding the right rope & bungee cords. This gentleman went above & beyond. I even called the store to let them know. Employee in-service to teach customer service should be required at this store. If you ask a question most, not all but most employees act as if you are a bother. If they do know where something is located they point and then dismiss you. Today I spent over an hour shopping. When checking out only one register with an employee was open. This store wants customers to use the self checkout. After shopping for over an hour the last thing I want to do is self check and bag. I did the self check the last time I was here and the pricing was incorrect on 2 items. It took 20 mins to get someone to fix the problem. I did the 1 hour photo online and went to pick up my pictures after an hour and a half. After waiting 20 minutes to be helped, the rude woman informed me that there was a larger order in front of mine and would take quite some time till my order was ready. I recently started coming back to this walmart, the one I usually go to in Coventry was just to far. This walmart used to be dingy, messy, and never had anything in stock even the basic stuff. But wow the last couple trips I've been here have been very nice. The store has been updated and there's been much improvement. The store is clean and neat. Everything is in stock and not scattered around everywhere. The whole store over all really impressed me. I will be making this my go to walmart from now on. Plus it's only a ten minute drive!
