I've been going to this Walmart Vision Center ever since they opened, and I have been so glad they've come to town. I have this ridiculous astigmatism requiring lots of RX changes, and I've gotten so many pairs of glasses made here: computer, distance and progressives. They are always professional, knowledgeable - no matter who helps you - , and really friendly. I was in last night to have my precious progressives resurrected, and Jamie and Suzanne did a bang-up job of straightening them out & handing them back sparkling clean. I bought glasses at walmart and regret it. Didnt last a yer and one lense is so scratched up that I can't see out of it. I never clean it on anything but the special lense cloth. They did something wrong when they made them or they would last longer. I have multiple old pairs that are not scratched. If you don't buy the warrenty they won't cover them. I always have an expectation of glases lasting until my prescription changes unless I break them. read more

I would like to give a review giving kudos to the kind and generous young black vision department employee who helped repair my eye wear. One of my lenses poped out of the frame and I had no tool or success with repairing it. Really wish I had asked for her name but this employee quickly took my eyeglasses over to back room and repaired it. Within seconds she was back and they were repaired. She even handed me a lens cleaner packet to help me clean my lenses. Really regret not getting her name but she works inside the vision dept in the Copperfield Walmart location and on duty around 3:30pm today (11/26/24) when I visited the vision center. I walked in to browse and immediately saw these frames with pen marks and fingerprints on them. They were not wiped clean and sanitized before they were put back on the frame board. The optician was on the phone so I didn't mind that he didn't acknowledge yet but even after he got off the phone, he didn't acknowledge me. Two other opticians were making inappropriate jokes just two feet away from a mom and her son who were browsing through the frames. Need a lot of improvement. read more

I purchased 2 pairs of glasses at Walmart in Ft Myers Florida because I would be traveling for the next year and felt having them adjusted when needed would be easier. During the last 4 months I have stopped in a Walmart in Louisiana and one in Arizona to have each pair adjusted. Today I was told by Doyal in the Walmart in Sealy Texas that he couldn't guarantee he wouldn't break them if he adjusted them. I said they were purchased at Walmart. He repeated there was no guarantee. I know it's Walmart and my expectations are obviously unreasonable for this rural community. So I will stop at another Walmart and hopefully receive service on a product purchased there. read more

Making an appointment here is so easy. I just call and tell them what I need and they give me an appointment that works with my schedule as well as my family's schedule. The workers are friendly even though the vision center is within the WalMart store. It's small and intimate and the workers cater to your needs. They usually have enough staff members to take care of intake, and glasses. Filling out the forms and getting insurance information was simple. I gave my information and the staff weren't rude in any way like some bigger offices. The doctors are friendly. When they take you back in the room where exams are done, you don't realize that it's pretty big back there with about 3 offices or so. My son was the only one who needed glasses so he picked out the ones he wanted, At the time of pick up, they fitted him so that the glasses wouldn't hurt him or give him a headache. Even when my son broke his glasses, the glasses were covered under my insurance the warranty and he got a brand new pair of glasses almost instantly. My whole family really loves coming here. The prices aren't bad and the selection is pretty plentiful. read more

$200 for a new pair of glasses. Lost them on a canoe trip 2 weeks later. Asked for a replacement pair and then learned that the "warranty" was only for scratches and cracks and such, not lost or stolen glasses. Should've went to America's Best and gotten 2 pair for $150. read more

Very, very, very skeptical at first - but, by word of mouth, a few local friends apparently recommended Dr. Cooperman. I was like, really ... a doctor from WalMart Vision Center. And indeed, believe it or not... he is one of the BEST, BEST optometrist I've been too! STAFF: the front lady is okay, but not much of a talker - like asking how are you today and all that good stuff. She's just like - here, sign in and gave me more paper work. I guess she's bored of her job - I would be too. I didn't have to wait long until she took me back to pre-examine my eyes. She did the air-puffing one and she didn't even warn my that the puffing thing is going to scare me... dude... it hella puffed me and I jumped! After that she took me to the doctor's examine room. 4 stars! DR. COOPERMAN: So, here's a list why Dr. Cooperman is so awesome: (1) Very FRIENDLY doctor! I LOVE HIM! Came in with a huge smile and asked me how I was, then we had a friendly conversation! He is such a talker and he loves to joke around - nice sense of humor! I love him! 5 stars! (2) He tries to make his patients COMFORTABLE with him! He always made sure that all my questions are answered, and in fact, he made sure I had questions to ask him (now, that's a fantastic doctor!). 5 stars! (3) Made sure I had the right PRESCRIPTION: So, at first I tried the first lenses he have me, but it didn't work out because it was hurting my eyes - and I told him that. Then Dr. Cooperman, took me back to the exam room to recheck to see what the problem is and he found out that... the first brand prescription doesn't fit the pressure of my eyes. So, after he prescribed me another brand. Tried it on, and wow - it doesn't hurt anymore! The last doctor I went to told me that I wasn't use to that type of lens and it kept hurting my eyes - but, now I know (thanks to Dr. Cooperman) it depends on your eye pressure. 5 stars! (4) He wrote another substitute prescription: because I cannot decide between the newly monthly prescription and my old daily prescription, he wrote me both, just in case I changed my mind! Just have to ask him for it and he'll totally do it for you! 5 stars! **OVERALL: 5 STARS AND BEYOND - for a fantastic DOCTOR! I definitely will come back next year for my new prescription! read more

I've previously gone to LensCrafters, but was intent on finding a more economical choice. The lady on the phone told me it would be $114 for a contacts exam and $58 for glasses. She left me on hold for too long and I ended up having to call back to schedule my appointment. Besides the phone mishap, staff was friendly & efficient. I was taken through the pre-tests with a staff member before seeing the doctor. Dr. Cooperman was personable, friendly, and made me feel very comfortable. He was generous with free samples & useful tips for my dry eyes. Their selection of glasses is minimal and organized by price. I didn't love any of the frames, but didn't mind spending $79 on a mediocre pair, considering I planned on only minimal wear. Glasses take 7-10 business days to arrive. My order of contacts arrived in four days. A good Wal-Mart related experience? Surprisingly, yes. read more

I would give it a 1/2 star if I could. I have been going to this Walmart for over 12 years. They recently redesigned the layout. It takes some getting use to... but I don't think I'll be going back anymore. I'd rather pay the extra dollars and go to Target. Why? They have sales reps wondering the floors bugging you. "excuse me can I ask you a question?", next aisle, "What phone service do you use?", coming back around and the same 1st sales rep, "Why are you in such a rush?". I can handle annoying sales reps (such as kiosk reps at the mall) but not at Walmart where I just want to get my household items and get out. After experiencing this every 2 weeks I go for the past 3 months... and the last rep even followed me to the next aisle. Creepy or persistent? Either way, unprofessional. $58 for a basic eye exam for glasses, which was the best value I found in Sacramento. I wasn't sure what I was going to get by going to Walmart for an eye exam, but I was pleasantly surprised with my overall experience. I waited a few extra minutes, but the staff was fairly prompt in getting me into my 3 o'clock appointment. Dr. Navrit Purewal, O.D. was the one that saw me and she was great. Very helpful and actually an eye doctor that I would go back to. As I was leaving I glanced at their selection of frames and was a little peeved that I hadn't just come here in the first place. They had some decent stuff, and at a much better price than what I was paying for the frames I had just purchased. Thank you fellow Yelpers! Yet again, you steered me in the right direction! BEST DEAL in town. GREAT doctor, friendly staff, a very good selection of reasonably priced frames, and I'll get my glasses in about a week! Dr Cooperman is professional, courteous, and even funny! I had never had an eye exam before so was a bit nervous. I arrived early to fill out a medical history (basically one page, then a few signatures on another page), then was whisked into the back room for some preliminary tests (look at an eye chart, look in one device, then another, etc). After that, I had my exam with Dr Cooperman. The whole thing was quick, easy and painless! NOTE: If you are having your eyes dilated, your entire exam will take about an hour or so (they have to wait about 20 minutes for your eyes to dilate). When your pupils are dilated, you go back to have them examined. Your eyes will be blurry for a while afterwards - so have someone there to drive you, or plan on shopping at the store for an hour or longer (they said recovery time varies). Also - Bring dark glasses as your eyes will be very sensitive to light (like a vampire!). But it's worth it. The complete exam was $58. I also bought a cute pair of frames with UV protected lenses on top of that. A lot less than some of my friends have paid for glasses - and I'm not picky about having "designer" frames, I just wanted something that looked cute and fit my face properly. I had my first visit to Vision Center at Walmart yesterday. They were busy and had several walk ins wanting eye exams that they could not accommodate - so an appointment is a good idea. The staff is pleasant and they were equally cordial to everyone including a few folks who had no insurance and more than their share of challenges. The optometrist is straightforward, experienced and attentive. The glasses selection process was centered around helping me find what suited me and my budget, not a barrage of upsell pressure. I really do hope managers and higher ups read this because they have some really GREAT employees that work there. Dr. Cooperman is the best! He is awesome and very patient. I went in for my contact lens exam two weeks ago and today was my follow up. It was my first time getting contact so I was not familiar with the process and did not mentioned to him I was interested in color lens. I asked him during my follow up if it was too late to have that in my prescription and he said of course not. I really appreciate him for fulfilling my request and even let me tried on a color that I like before I made a purchase! Everyone working in the vision center are friendly and nice that I totally forgot I was inside Walmart. Customer service here exceed my satisfication. I broke my glasses on NYE from drunk shenanigans and was pretty much blind, he was nice enough to give me a pair of contacts to hold me over until my glasses came in. I really feel bad cause I ended up not getting glasses from there and got them from Zenni, which saved me LOADS of money. Came in Tue and again was helped right away, very friendly and helpful staff, answering all my questions! WOW! After my optometry office (Eye Designs at Arden Mall) lost my prescription and said I could pay for another one but would not be able to give me contacts the same day because "they have to wait a few days time before giving out contacts" I was forced to look else where. It was very disappointing being the entire family comes here and just dropped $1000 on eye exams, contacts and glasses 7 months prior. I was going to Hawaii the next day and there was no way I was going wearing glasses. I walked into Dr. Coopermans office with 30 minutes to spare before they closed in desperation of getting an exam and contacts. He actually stayed later so that I could get the exam done. To my surprise not only was he incredibly generous with his time, he was so personable and a pleasant person to talk too. I am definitely keeping Dr. Cooperman as my primary optometrist and switching the entire family over. How random to have walked in Walmart and found just an amazing doctor! read more

Doctor is great! Customer service sucks, I went some weeks ago to order my prescribed contacts and I was helped by a guy, this guy placed my order for me and I specifically told him my new address where I wanted my contacts to arrive. He told me my contacts were to arrive in 7 to 10 days which is the normal delivery time. Waited for almost 3 weeks for my contacts to arrive and nothing there was nothing, so I decided to give them a call. I spoke to a lady who was really friendly, she took some time to figure out what was going on which I understand they have a lot of customers. I told her what was going on and she tried to track my order, she told me my order was delayed, but that it was on its way, I asked which address they were going to be delivered since I had changed addresses, she told me there was two addresses on the system and I asked which one of those two were my contacts going to be delivered, she gave me the wrong addresses which made me get pretty upset, I told the lady none of those two addresses were correct which she replied back to me; Well, how are we supposed to know where to send the contacts if you didn't provide to us the right addresses, the tone that she used and the way she said it made me pretty mad, I told her that when I placed my ordered told the guy multiple times my new address, she stayed quiet and told me that she needed to talk to guy who had placed my order that if it was ok to give me a call back? Which I agreed. Got a called back from the same guy who took my order apologizing for his mistake, I said it was ok, but that I really needed my contacts, he asked for my new address again and I told him that I preferred my contacts to be deliver at their location. He said that it was okay, that he would give me a call as soon as they were delivered. AGAIN!!! I waited for a week for a call and nothing. I decided to check what was going on so I called again and the same lady answered my phone call, I asked for my contacts and she couldn't find me on their system, after some minutes she found me and said my contacts had arrived already, but they were checked out, that someone had picked them out already!!! I was pissed! I payed almost 100.00 for those contacts, after some minutes she "found" them. I picked them up that same day and trust me I was really upset. Even though I like how the doctor is I'm never going back to that place because it seems that the employees don't know what they are doing. read more
