I've always had a good experience with Dr. Le, but I can't say the same about the associate at the front desk, an older Hispanic woman. Thus, I didn't give 5 stars. She was very rude, argumentative, and just downright unprofessional! I saw some of the other reviews, where other patients felt the same way. Very efficient here. Out of all optometry visits for my husband that I went to, this has by far been the fastest (not longer than 1hr and 20 minutes from the time I walked in to the time I left with choosing my frames and payment, I also came about 20 mins earlier for my appt) well-organized, professional, and caring office. The only difference is that the appointment was for myself, my first visit, instead of my husband. I also enjoyed how Dr. Le expressed emotional validation during my eye exam. And long story short: I wanted an annual eye exam since I hadn't had one anyways in about five years. Also, my vision was getting blurry the past month. I had mild astigmatism and when I got my glasses yesterday, I was in shock how much clearer I can see and how glasses really can make a difference! The receptionists are kind and I appreciate the appointment reminder, notification of my glasses being ready, and instructions on wearing glasses my first time (very succinct). read more

I called to see if they took my insurance the lady who helped me couldn't pull up my insurance at all. I kept reading the number to her but still couldn't pull it up after she kept repeating it to me. At one point she flipped one of the numbers and when I corrected her she got annoyed that said "that's what I said" and stated that she flipped one and just continued. I had to go back and forth with them and double checking with HR that my insurance was valid, it got to the point where HR had to call and funny enough she found me with the exact information I had been giving her. She claimed I said the wrong insurance but I literally spelled it out for her since it's a weird name. She never called me on my phone to make my appointment like she said she would, so I had to call back myself. I was passed around by two receptionists who were both rude when I explained who I was. They kept raising their voices stating "ma'am! We already know your insurance is good here" and didn't even listen to me when I was just telling them I was just trying to set up an appointment since no one called me. When they finally realized that, they said that there was nothing for that day and the other day the doctor was out, which is weird... why y'all open then? I finally booked an appointment but ended up calling back to cancel because I rather not deal with rude receptionists. It looks like others have dealt with the attitudes as well, looking at past and recent reviews. read more

Dr. Le and his staff are great. The wait time is always minimal and Dr. Le is very friendly and engaging. He definitely seems to have a good rapport with all of his patients and helps you feel at ease throughout the appointment. I recently visited for an eye exam and the checkup was quick yet thorough. His staff helped me get in and out of my appointment quickly. I have been seeing Dr. Le for the past 4 years. His office hours are super convenient (open on Saturdays) and I am always seen right at my appointment time. Dr. Le cares and takes time to explain what's going on with any vision changes and makes sure to get me into the right contacts and glasses for my needs. His office staff is always helpful with scheduling appointments and navigating any insurance questions - especially Angie! This office is the epitome of efficiency! Dr. Le is awesome. He helped me fine tune my vision in less than 15 minutes. I picked out the glasses I wanted and he cut them in less than an hour. Unfortunately they don't take my insurance so I paid out of pocket but it's totally worth it to be able to see properly. The staff at TSO Sugar Land are amazing. I'm not yet sure what I think about this establishment. I am new to Sugar Land and chose this facility based simply on prices and hours. At $109 for a contact lens fitting and glasses prescription, this was the cheapest place in sugar land by an average of $50. Also, they are open Saturdays, which helps when you work full time. My initial assessment of the layout and "feel" of the office was a pleasant surprise. It is a nice office, except for the chairs you are supposed to sit in to wait.... They are like stick thin and flimsy. I guess that means they don't plan on their guests sitting for long! I guess that's good? The doctor I saw (don't know his name) was friendly and personable. He was more quick than thorough, but that's to be expected these days. He apparently got everything he needed from me in 15 min. The secretaries/assistants at this office were in my opinion lofty and condescending. Perhaps it's because I'm young (22) or whatever, but they spoke to me as if I didn't know anything about my eyes or what I needed. They were slow and forgetful to write my prescriptions and give them to me. I kept having to ask and remind them. They also nearly ordered me non-toric lenses, until I spoke up and they double-checked with the doctor (they didn't take me at my word, go figure). I will update my review as I go along... Since they are the cheapest I imagine I will remain with them, though hesitantly. read more

I've had two optometrists before and was getting tired of looking for a good one though didn't have an absurd wait time. I found Dr. Le through my insurance network search and I couldn't be happier. Dr. Le is thorough, professional, and efficient. I went in for a contacts lens exam and he found I had a minor eye condition. The past eye doctors I had said my eyes looked irritated but they weren't sure why, yet they prescribed expensive eye drops anyway. I didn't feel problems with my eyes so I wasn't sure about getting those eye drops. Dr. Le didn't just casually remark "your eyes look irritated" and slap me with an expensive prescription, but he took photos of the problem area and showed me what was going on. He was able to alleviate some of the issue in the office, but I had to come back for a follow-up. Then he slapped me with an expensive prescription. Ha, I kid. Well, it was expensive, but it was handed professionally, no slapping involved. What I was incredibly impressed with was the wait time. I went to his clinic for three separate visits at various appt times: first in the morning, mid-morning, and last patient for the day. Not only was Dr. Le ready within 5-10 min of my appt time, he was early when I was the last patient! I don't know whether this is a credit for the staff or Dr. Le or both, but THANK YOU for being on time. I understand delays happen, but I've waited an hour before for a 10 min eye exam, and I think that is ridiculous. As for the staff, they were always friendly and they even mailed me my prescription when I wasn't able to pick it up. read more

I was a first time patient of Dr. Le. Due to my treatment, I will never return to this TSO and Doctor. I do not recommend it to anyone. I am a brand Loyal consumer and have been going to TSO for a majority of my adult life. So, I was very disappointed by this experience. To save time, Before I arrived at the office, I went on their TSO website and filled out new patient paper work. When I first came in, one associate barely greeted me and just seemed like she did not want to be at work. The other associate, which were the older of the two, was speaking loudly and rudely to a customer on the phone. I told the unfriendly associate my appointment time and that I filled out my new patient paperwork online. She said "that site do not work" and just looked at me. She handed me the new patient paperwork. As I sat down and filled out my information again, the older associate was loudly berated another customer on the phone. This TSO just seemed disorganized. I was just about to get up and leave. But, I wanted to give Dr. Le a chance. Dr. Le came out. He greeted me. We went back in the office. He asked me what I wanted to get done today. I told Dr. Le I wanted my contact and glasses prescription, but I was NOT going to purchase my glasses or contacts with him. I purchase my glasses and contacts online. I thought he was fine with that. Unfortunately for the next twenty minutes or so, He proceeded to try to sell me color contacts. I have an astigmatism in one of my eyes and the contact brand that is best for people who have astigmatism is no longer in production. Dr. Le went on to say that he can still prescribe me contacts, but that the contacts will make my vision blurry. Why on earth would I want to pay hundreds of dollars for contacts that will give me blurry vision? I feel that was unethical of him. I was reading some of the reviews here, and a patient of his said that he did not push contacts on her due to her astigmatism. I wish he would have treated me the same. After twenty minutes of being treated like a walking dollar sign, I I spoke up for myself and reminded him I just wanted my two prescriptions. The older associate was so nasty towards me concerning eye contacts that I did not want to purchase with them. The older associate actually went and told Dr. Le that I did not want to purchase contacts, and Dr. Le tried to persuade me to purchase contacts. I became so overwhelmed with his sale tactics that I told him that I did not even want the contact prescription any longer. I just wanted my glasses prescription, so I could just leave. I had a great experience from the time I called to make the appointment to the time that I was through with the eye exam. Dr. Le has equipment that made the exam virtually non invasive and the process was quick. I was in and out in a matter of minutes with new trial contacts that fit perfectly and the strength is exactly what I needed. The office staff were super helpful in getting my contact order processed and even handled outfitting me in glasses without any hassle or up-selling. Refused to let me speak with Dr. Lee and said " The Docter doesn't want to come to the phone. You can either make an appointment or I can't help you". We had a bit of an emergency. Our ten year old needed glasses since his broke and were lost while he was staying with relatives. The reviews of other offices told of pitiful turn around times. When my friend recommended Dr Robert Le and told us he cuts the lenses in-house, we were at Sugar Land TSO that same day. He did a great job fitting the frames to a child's face and was careful to help us select a set that looked great and would hold up to a young boy's daily use! We were called the next day to pick up the glasses! We were thrilled with the turn around time and the quality of service. read more
