I also understand that it's a mechanism eye doctors use to protect themselves from lawsuits. I come from a line of surgeons, and they find methods to curb malpractice lawsuits everyday. The staff could benefit with more training, be that service or technicals. Things are going to get worst for Texas businesses in general when transplants begin to saturate the the local market with skilled professionals, which has already begun. Very quickly, you can toss a penny and hit eye doctors with your eyes closed, no pun intended. More choices are always better.

The prescription is wrong and I can't see. I made an appt to get rechecked and the front office failed to tell me, after I got there, that I will owe $60 since it's been too long even though they messed up my prescription. I will not go back because they do not accommodate at all. it's a money grab.

When I re-submitted my order, The doctor's office would not approve it. I had to go there and request a physical copy of my prescription to scan to my lens provider and prove my correct prescription. I went to them because they were close and open on Sundays, but I will never return. They have been anything but professional!

Not all but most of the staff members are just not nice, especially the optometrist-Wanda. The prices of frames/lenses without good insurance are just through the roof. ($325 for the pair my daughter needed) so I looked online to potentially order her a pair from a website for a cheaper price- the website needed her pupillary distance but the office wanted to charge $25 to give it to me (not listed on her prescription) I was also told it "generally isn't given out to pediatric patients and would have to ask Dr. Bulan if it were ok" do they do this purposely so you have to buy glasses from them? The front desk staff was polite and helpful, but my interaction with Dr. Thanh Huynh was the complete opposite. She came into the room with an attitude that was rude, short, and dismissive from the very beginning. When she mentioned additional services and something about "special glasses," I asked her what that meant because I genuinely didn't understand. Instead of explaining it, she brushed me off like I was bothering her. There was no patience, no clarity, and absolutely no effort to make sure I understood what she was recommending. What upset me the most was how she spoke to and handled my children. She was noticeably irritated with them even though they weren't doing anything wrong. As a mother, that instantly threw me off. There is no reason for a doctor who works with families to be that harsh or cold toward kids. During the exam she also held the bright light in my eyes for an unnecessarily long time, and it felt uncomfortable and careless. The whole interaction lacked professionalism, compassion, and basic respect. I will never return to this office solely because of her. The front desk treated us well, but Dr. Huynh's attitude and behavior completely ruined the visit. Patients deserve to feel respected and clearly informed, and that is not what we received here.
