its time again at Walmart, its been 2 years plus since I had my eyeglasses made here...$350 just for 1 pair of bifocal glasses. I bought a $10 frame, but all the additional crap I bought totaled that amount. I had an eye exam from my hospital and brought the prescription here. I am sure since I plan to have an eye exam here and better frames that it will cost even more this year 2019....I might have to opt out on some of the "Additionals" to get it down to $350 again or $200.
I would have given this place a 5 star but I just don't like the quality of work that they did with my lenses which was made somewhere in CHINA I bet or some foreign land and not in the U.S.A, because in less than 2 months some defects appeared that was not covered under any type of warranty. I might have to re-examine the workmanship and ensure that they provide me with some warranty.
Why will I come back to this place:
1. Its close to home. Convenience.
2. Takes 2 weeks to get eyeglasses or less
3. Customer Service. Customer Service Customer Service.
The Staff here are wonderful. More like EXCEPTIONAL!!
You have to understand this is Walmart and to have Knowledgeable and Compassionate staff at this Walmart location is extremely rare.
IE: I slept with my eyeglasses ON, a few months ago and because I bought those super cheap frames, my eyeglasses was like super Warped. It made me look like a Nerd, not the cool looking nerd like those guys in the big bang theory show, but a super freaked out 1980s nerd that had masking tape in the middle of their glasses, since it cocked the eyeglasses every which way and when I put them on and looked in the mirror, I was like Super Nerdy looking....I didn't even try straightening them out. I just showered, shaved, put some clothes on, drank some coffee, put them dumb dumb glasses on my face and looked at the mirror to straighten out my collar, and drove like this to Walmart. I was fortunate I was still able to see through one of the corner of the lense while i was driving. Everyone was laughing at the store since I walked into the farthest entrance from the eyeglasses section and had to walk through all those people and they just pointed and laughed at me and I just didn't care. I walked to the counter of the vision center and IMMEDIATELY, a sales associate looked at me with a straight face, and said, " I have done that before. Not to that extreme, but yes its still fixable. " I handed my eyeglasses to her. 20 minutes later after a lot of balancing and plier pulling I received a straightened glasses that was much much better than before.
Yes I will come back again and tweak out some faults of this place, but overall I am very pleased with this vision center. And if you were one of those that were laughing at me, I hope you too fall asleep with your glasses on and wake up with a distorted pair of eyeglasses or lose one of your contact lenses in the sink. read more
