I was then told a different Doctor would be taking over... it has now been about a month and no communication from them, but they did bill me and my insurance... I would not recommend them and found the manner in which they handled a sensitive matter at a stressful time to be less than desirable.

Although this place wasn't a Yelp discovery, it's far and away THE BEST find of all since my move here. First impressions: incredibly up-to-date, plentiful selection of frames; beautiful, light, roomy store layout; and the most knowledgeable, personable, genuinely helpful staff I've ever encountered in an optometrist's office. This place is heavy on attention to detail - from the display of frames to signage to the beverage offerings for patients to the spotless, modern restroom to the exam itself. The moment you approach from the outside, it's obvious that nothing has been overlooked in the layouts or displays. Abundant natural light makes the place absolutely ideal to try on frames, and the staff honestly knows all of their products inside and out. This is the Apple Store of optometry. Dr. Lawson is simultaneously warm, engaging, professional, fun, erudite, practical, empathetic, thorough, and sentient of patient needs. Donna and Christian were completely focused on taking care of every aspect of my first visit. Christian was not just versed on the vast frame collection, he had a natural eye for suggesting which frames would look just right on me. Had I been left unattended, I would have spent 30 minutes narrowing down to the 2 perfect frames he produced for me in less than 5. Donna spent a great deal of time ensuring my paperwork for my vision insurance was exactly as I needed it, and did so while making me feel like a long-time neighbor who'd stopped in to borrow a cup of flour. From the greeting-sans-pressure on entrance through the huge smile on my face as I left, seamless interactions with all of the staff demonstrated impeccable team service all around. Getting an eye exam and contact lens fitting felt more like a spa appointment. Hit the mall for get-what-you-pay-for, quickly processed, mediocre optical errands. Eyes on the Landing is for those of us who seriously care about our vision, want to spend the time to examine every option available today, and be well cared for by a staff who cater to our kind. They were really great. They receptionist told me what to bring to my eye appointment before hand and was really nice when I got there. They also sent plenty of reminder texts, which I appreciated even though I had already set a reminder in my own phone. They had appointments on SATURDAY which was great! Dr. Miller was super nice and explained a bunch of stuff to me. He also recommended a new brand of contacts to me and I LOVE them so much more than my other brand. So much more comfortable! They were about the same price as my old ones and I got a $50.00 rebate for getting a years supply. The office was very nice and clean. It looked like they had a decent selection of frames as well. I wasn't there to get glasses though, just contacts. I will be back in a year for another check-up and a new contacts prescription. read more

I had my first eye appointment with Dr. Miller in 2014 - (best prescription & best pair of glasses I have ever had). I moved out of the area and went to another Dr. in 2016 and I was not happy with the prescription (glasses & contacts). I spent a lot of money and I was getting bad headaches and migraines because of the glasses I was wearing. I couldn't even wear the contacts. 2017 I went back to Dr. Miller and I will never switch again - even if I have to drive out of my way. So worth it! He and his staff really listen to what you have to say (I really hate the eye test because of my eye sight) and work with you to find the best solution. The office staff was very friendly. Dr. Miller is a super friendly and very informative. He took time to answer all my curious questions :) It is apparent that he treats his staff great and they enjoy working with him. The frame/stylist Jill was very knowledgeable in how to pick out glasses for me that best fit my very small face. It didn't take her long to pull small framed glasses off her display that were very stylish and worked best for my face shape. I have been very frustrated in the past picking out glasses. I had to change optometrists due to an insurance coverage change which didn't make me happy. It ended up being lucky for me as Dr. Miller is the best optometrist I have ever seen. He is thorough, kind, explains everything, and never rushes me. I had been bothered by eye twitches now and again and happened to mention this to him. He noted some minor difference in my eyes that glasses for the computer could possibly help. I tried it, and I am twitch free for the first time in years. HIGHLY recommend Dr. Miller. I am a diabetic and he explains what every test will reveal about the health of my eyes. There is a history of glaucoma and even though I have no current signs we discuss the symptoms with each visit and he now has a machine that will tell me up to 7 years before I have most symptoms if I will eventually get glaucoma. Also does not push cataract surgery which I have had other doctors wanting to do surgery "tomorrow" Great staff and I always feel welcome when I walk in the door. read more

I really appreciated that as I had a difficult year medically. But I had a number of problems with Cascade Vision. 1, they are *constantly* upselling, which I would have thought impossible for a doctor's office, but there you go. Every time I went in, whatever I went in for, there was always a necessary, over the counter product or not-covered-by -insurance procedure pushed on me which (surprise, surprise) they had available at the counter or through a special pharmacy. This gets tiresome. It also erodes trust in whatever advice the doctor is telling me about my condition. 2, I was having trouble adjusting to the glasses I bought there, for longer than the usual amount of time adjusting to a new prescription. I came back to have them checked out, just in case there was an error because everyone makes mistakes occasionally --that's human nature. The opticians got very snarky and overly defensive about that. A patient should be able to have their prescription checked out without questions. 3, I was misdiagnosed with a stye which turned out to be ocular rosacea. I saw 2 different doctors at Cascade Vision over about 3-4 months for this problem, at least a couple times a month, sometimes weekly. It seems extraordinary to me that they didn't recognize an ocular condition, which has the potential of damaging my cornea. The advice I was given (and of course, multiple products to buy!) to treat the "stye" was of course a complete waste of time and money and could have worsened the rosacea. 4. I had a diabetic eye exam and requested that the results be forwarded to my PCP. I had to make multiple requests over 6 months for that to be done, which is ridiculous, considering it could be sent in an email.

Don't go here. Ridiculously expensive after searching other methods. I went here once when I had…read moreinsurance for my job and didn't think much of it. They kept sending me messages about doing another eye appointment (takes like 20 minutes) and I told them I no longer had vision insurance with my job. The quote was over $300 not including the contacts or anything. Called around and this money-hungry business (not trying to help people just cash in as much as possible) is charging WAY more for an exam than literally any other Optometrist out there. Not even close. I decided to do an eye exam online and it was $79.99 INCLUDING 6 months of contacts. If you don't have insurance....definitely don't give your business to them. If you do have insurance...don't give your business to them because you know they are just using and abusing the system. Go to Costco or literally ANYWHERE else besides here.

Located in my favorite plaza in Renton, Oceanclear has a plethora of frames. They have a variety of designer brands as well as high quality eyeglasses brands. I have hit and miss luck with optometrists lately but after my experience here I foresee me coming back. Dr. Kuo was informative, helpful, and very easy to talk to. She took what my ophthalmologist had told me and related it to the type of glasses that I required. I felt like I had dialogue with her instead of being talked at or rushed, which has been some of my recent experiences with optometrists (or really many in the medical field of all kinds). It was nice because I walked away with a better understanding of how to care for my eyes. Vincent took my initial check-in procedures (pressure test and what not) and he helped me select glasses. Will fully admit I was very uncertain about him in the beginning. He was so quiet - he didn't introduce himself or really explain any of the various tests we were doing or if they were good or bad results. When Dr. Kuo told me Vincent would help me pick out frames I really was skeptical. But once he was around me for five minutes he relaxed and gave fantastic advice! Vincent really helped me find the right look. The two frames I purchased I felt confident looked good on me and fit my face. I was super pleased! The eyeglasses arrived two weeks later and I received a voicemail and email letting me know they in. They were perfect! Pickup was a breeze. Highly recommend!

The exam portion went well and the doctor took the time to explain everything to me very thoroughly. I greatly appreciated that. The problem came in with my frames. I used my annual VSP benefit and selected some Ray-Ban Meta AI glasses. Initially, I had to wait till they got the larger size frame in and was told that it was too big for my face. I tried on the smaller one and noticed that it pinched a little bit right behind my ears. It took almost 3 weeks to get the new glasses in and after I started wearing them for about a week, I noticed that they pinched too much and were too uncomfortable to wear for more than an hour at a time. I contacted the office and let them know that and I was not apprised of any exchange option or anything else. I am now out several hundred dollars and have a pair of glasses that I can't wear. Waiting for my benefits to kick in after the first of the year and then I'll be shopping for a new provider and glasses.
