He told me to wear them for 2 weeks it's just my brain and eyes adjusting. I called back about 4 days later - I couldn't see to drive or read at all. He got very annoyed with me. He was rude and talked down to me. I felt belittled and made to feel crazy because I struggled to see. He was sure to tell me that he did the prescription correctly and it's me not giving it a chance. So I obliged and gave it a good chance (headaches and all). I could not wear them to drive as it was dangerous. I called back and was told he would contact me. A few weeks later I received calls from a number. They were not leaving a message. I finally looked up the number to realize it was him calling. I called back. I put him on speaker phone so my husband could hear how he spoke to me. My husband was astounded. Dr. Gregory again was clearly annoyed by me. Insisted I would need glasses "like my grand parents wore" - his words - meaning bifocals. I questioned whether we could recheck the progressives maybe something was off. He quickly cut me off and said come in I'll give you a refund then hung up. He clearly doesn't believe that a mistake could of happened on his part. By the way my appt was in March. We were asked if she wanted 9:45 or 10:45, we said 10:45, the date & time was confirmed at the end of the call and I IMMEDIATLY put it in my calendar. When my niece took her mom (my sister) for her appointment, they were told they missed their appointment, it was 9:45 and they need to reschedule. My sister has health issues and has to have someone bring her to appointments, this was a massive inconvenience for both my sister & my niece (who had to travel over 45 minutes to get there). My sister does not want to go back (this was NOT her 1st time there either) because of the mix up.

There's a sale once a year where I go and get my pretty frame. My prescription is high, and they use a great lab to make the lenses fit just right (if you don't have a high prescription, you may not understand what I mean). Oh and Heidi and one of her receptionist (forgot her name) are fantastic at finding a frame to fit your face. They know what they carry and where everything is!

I just couldn't find a single frame that I was in love with that sat well on me. It wasn't for lack of trying. Instead I wasted my time bringing frames I already had and liked back in. The other thing that didn't sit with me philosophically is that they were OK to charge me totally out of pocket (almost $500 for my prescription), but couldn't be bothered to let me use my optical insurance to bring that price down for me. Buyer beware, especially since the style frames they have aren't for everyone. I'd actually liked the styles they carried and that's why I'd chosen them, but none sat well enough on my face. If they can't be bothered to save their customers a couple hundred dollars if there is no frame sale in it for them, that doesn't jive with me philosophically. I spoke with a man at desk and explained what was going on, he took them to the optician to look at. While those 2 were looking at my file the manager decided to come over and watch over the opticians shoulder. I was told that since I did not buy their protection they would not be covered to be fixed. I was then told by the manager that they could send them to their lab in GA to see if they will fix them. My frames were not bought at AB. I explained that I cannot see without my glasses, I was then told to wear my contacts. I explained that I am not able to wear contacts from the time I get up until I go to bed, as I do not wear them daily. I was told by the optician she has never seen this happen to a lenses, the manager says it normally only happens in wire frames when they are screwed too tight. I have plastic frames. Clearly the lens is too big for the frame. The lab is on GA and they do not keep records or files of any lens they cut for frames bought outside of AB. When I asked to speak to someone higher up, the manager stated she was the store manager. Clearly you report to someone. I was given a card with a national number to call and dismissed. As I was leaving the man working the desk said good luck. They lack customer service skills. AB clearly does not stand behind their product. If you are a paying customer, I would stay away. I've worn glasses most of my life and have seen this happen to my glasses.
