They never run their appointments on time if it is Dr. Claudia Wendell. If you can get an appointment with her then you might have a better schedule with the appointment. read more

Took my elderly Mother there for an appointment but were a few minutes late because it is a struggle to get her out of the house then cleaning a car in the snow. Only 1 other customer in the whole place and they wouldn't see her- now we're forced to reschedule so that we waste another day to go back. I told the young kid that was working how hard it was and asked him to still see her but he was a total jerk and refused over and over. This place obviously doesn't care at all about patients only making $ from them and ruining their day. read more

Everyone here was very professional. They cared about my eyes as they did me from start to purchase. They were very knowledgeable and answered all of my questions that I had. My eye exam was thorough and they even helped me pick out my frames. Prices weren't bad either and they guided me through the whole checkout process! I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Wendel! She is awesome! read more

I've been going to Dr Chris Short for years. I followed him to Pearl from his last employer. He's an AWESOME dr. I've never had to wait long to see him, my prescriptions have always been spot on! As for purchasing glasses from them. Just DON'T. I use progressive lenses and they are WAY overpriced here. They nickel and dime your Ins. Last pair I bought from them was $80 clearance frames and plain progressive lenses.. NO special options.. yet they still somehow charge me $150 and my insurance almost $600! Not sure what kind of invoice games they played but that's just unacceptable!! Have Dr Short do your exam, get a copy of your RX, purchase your glasses online and save yourself a ton of moneyL I highly recommend eyebuydirect.com.. GREAT prices, FAST shipping.. I've never waited more than 4 days for my glasses. Their promo's are unbelievable! read more

Customer service is horrible. Once they have your money they no longer care. I had to file a complaint with Pearle Vision corporate as no one at the location was willing to help. The eye doctor was fine, but everyone else was useless. Very rude. Happily going elsewhere for future eye exams. One star is too good for the review. read more

This is the second time I have needed to go to a vision provider and I have gone here both times. They accept my insurance and they are open later in the evening on week days. Since my insurance covers a lot I did not have to pay much out of pocket. I have purchased glasses both times I have needed to come here. I only had to cover my co pay and anything my insurance didn't. Everyone here has been super nice which is why I came back for my yearly appointment. I ordered glasses both times and they gave me my script for contacts. My only complaint is my glasses were ready and no one called me. I had to call a few weeks later and then they said they were ready . They were suppose to call me when they came in. Other than that I would say I have had great experiences here . Also they have a wild variety of name brand glasses, Gucci to Prada to Nine West. I got Nine West and I love them ! read more

Bad Experience with a poorly run business I showed up for my appointment, but they told me I was not on the schedule. Then they told me my insurance was not accepted even though they previously confirmed over the phone the insurance was accepted. It was difficult for me to get off work for this appointment- they really put me out. I would not trust my eyes to this business. I am pasting my confirmation below: Gary, your appt is at 10:40 AM on Tuesday, August 25, 2020. See you then! Misleading information given when pricing glasses and lenses. I felt like it was a used car sale .UPMC insurance discount applies only to lowest tiers but this wasn't explained when I was comparative shopping. Exam price we wax misquoted as well. Long wait for appointment and then the glasses. Within a month the lenses are very scratched. I've worn glasses for over 50 years. These are the worst quality as well as value I've ever had. read more

I came to Pearle because their ads show the electronic machine that better customizes your lenses to your eyes since now two eyes are the same. Now I'm left cursing at the marketing department that told the advertising department to pitch that feature since it's either (1) not rolled out to all stores or (2) I didn't correctly catch which store had the feature. Regardless of that initial "wtf..mate?" moment I decided to give them a shot at being my visual providers. I showed up on a Saturday with prescription on-hand and tried on frames. Mary helped me with the nitty gritty details about which frames looked better on me and how much insurance coverage I had. I had everything set up and ready to go and then I asked her to freeze the order since I wanted to think about it. The last couple of times I have asked anything like that the associates have looked at me like "Gee thanks for wasting my time jack-wagon!" Mary on the other hand told me to take my time and to call her directly so that she can release the authorization on my insurance in case I decided to go to a different frame or store. I did go home and thought about it. Returning on Monday, my order was still ready to go. I was hoping to catch Mary and have her be the one that finalized the order. But that was not the case, instead I was helped by a couple other associates who were able to verify all the details and place the order. I was told a week ... the glass were ready in 5 days. Now I'm writing this review with my new glasses thankful for Mary's friendliness and Pearle's quick and courteous service. Now I just wish I knew why insurance only have a difference of $30 plus taxes ... but that's for another time, haha. read more

I have hit the age where I now have to wear glasses. All I can say was that the sales rep worked with me to help pick out some pretty cool frames. She ensured I received the best deal possible. What more can one ask! read more

I will NEVER visit this Pearle Vision again or any Pearle Vision of that matter. I was conned out of my money and charged for a bunch of things I didn't ask for. Being young and black, they saw that as an opportunity to take advantage of someone that is just trying to take the initiative to be on top of their health. The glasses I've gotten were not a good investment. They smudge easily, there's no evidence of the UV protection and "Reflection" frames, the list goes on. Do yourself a favor. Go elsewhere. read more

Complete lack of customer service. I came in 20 minutes before closing to get a quick pair of glasses before the new year. With 5 minutes I had narrowed it down between 2 $320 -$350 glasses and the manager told me she would pull up my information to ring me out tomorrow. Mind you they still have 15 minutes before the store closes. This is the place for you if you like lazy associates that don't care about making a sale. read more

This Pearle Vision location is by far the best, and I have always had positive experiences here. Their staff is wonderful and friendly, and Dr. Colarossi is amazing. She always takes her time with me, explains in detail the health of my eyes, any changes, and makes sure that I leave informed with no questions. I truly do enjoy the staff and even something as small as picking up a contact order is always a pleasant and professional interaction. Highly recommend. read more

The service here does not even deserve one star. I went for the exam chose glasses was required to pay up front. Five days later the glasses came in totally wrong. I was told that they would put a rush on the order. It's been over two weeks and every time I call there they tell me the glasses should be in tomorrow. I told him that is not acceptable, asked if he could call their lab and find out what is going on. He said he would and call me back that it's out of their control. I'm still waiting for the call. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY THERE. read more

Below is the message I have sent to Pearle Vision to complain about the store manager at the robjnson town center location. Overall the location is good but any dealing with the manager or if they make a mistake is horrible. Avoid thus location at all costs until they replace the manager or give her some serious customer relations training. These past few weeks have been the worst customer service I have received at any location let alone at pearle vision. The eye exams for myself, my wife and my 2 children went off well enough. My daughter's both needed new lenses so we left the framed there to get the work done. About a week and a half later we got the call saying the glasses were ready for pick up. When we got there we were presented with a pair of broken frames for my youngest glasses. When I asked how we were going to handle it I was confronted by the manager who said we could glue it for you but that is all because we shouldn't have accepted the framed to begin with. Of course my response was that you did and while in your possession they were broken. After a good half hour of the rudest behavior I have ever put up with and in front off all 3 of my children. It was finally decided that they could replace the framed but they ould be from another store so it would be 1 to 2 days. Today is the 4th day and I finally am able to pick them up and as I enter the building I am yet again confronted by the manager who tells me that because they had to replace them that there would be zero warranty, manufacturers or otherwise. She refused to give me the glasses unless I said that was ok which it clearly is not. New frames should have the warranty and this terrible behavior should be address. It is a very real possibility that I will never visit a pearle vision again because of these encounters with clearly inadequate management and I will most certainly never visit that one again. Im am perfectly fine with paying for the eye exam as it went off with no issues whatsoever, as the manager wasn't involved, but these last few visits and the cost of the lenses should be refunded to me at the very least and that manager should be required to attend some sort of customer relations classes as she clearly has no idea how to deal with paying customers. Staff was polite and extremely knowledgeable. Amy helped me with frames I would get my biggest discount on and assisted me with choosing which one worked perfectly with my facial features. Top notched experience from start to finish!! read more

I stopped in today to get a small repair and adjustment to glasses I purchased there. I was greeted by the manager who quickly took care of my concerns. He was very friendly and professional. Very pleased and will definitely go back to Pearle again. read more

Do not go here. The doctor made me switch from my Acuvue Oasys lenses to Pearle Vision brand and they are terrible. Luckily I opted to do a trial so I didn't order the PV brand lenses, but when I asked for my prescription it took them 5 days to get it to me. They kept saying they would call back and they never did, I had to call every day. My glasses were an even bigger mess. It has been three weeks and I still do not have my new glasses. They keep saying they'll call back when they have an answer as to why they have not arrived, and no one calls back. I am getting married and leaving the country, and they guaranteed they would have my contacts and glasses by then, and they were not able to deliver on that promise. Horrible customer service, always pushing Pearle Vision brand, and none of them know what they're doing. Everyone that works there is very polite and professional, but something is wrong with their corporate structure. Save your money and go somewhere else. read more
