She talked me through some things that could help with wearing my contacts too long, etc. Also, while the glasses I chose were super expensive, I also really love them. It was a frame I had found nowhere else! As for the front office staff, definitely very friendly but very disorganized. When I was first contacted by Krista she had to get my husband's social and I gave that over the phone. Then she asked me again when it came appointment time; turns out she did not write it in the system. Thankfully I had it in a note on my phone. Not something you keep on hand! Secondly, I was charged for glasses before even being fitted for them. Lastly, it had been 2.5 weeks since I had my appointment and did not get a call that my glasses were ready. Sure enough I called the office and they had them....just didn't notify me. Returning here is up in the air for me. While I had a good experience with the doctor, paying as much as I did for glasses and not having an entirely good experience left sort of a bad taste in my mouth.

She always listens carefully and explains her process in detail, weighing pros and cons of each treatment option. I've been coming to her office for about six months now for dry eye (specifically MGD), and she has gone above and beyond for every single visit. Dr. Telega is noticeably passionate about her practice, and I absolutely cannot recommend her enough!

The shameless prioritization of bottom line over patient wellbeing on display here is unacceptable. I had an appointment scheduled well in advance, which I arrived on time for. I expected to be seen promptly as a patient who took the proper steps. Instead, I was left waiting for an egregious length of time, nearly TWO HOURS past my appointment time. The staff, while apologetic, was clearly overwhelmed and unable to manage the volume of patients. They were frantically trying to serve the queue that had built up due to the irresponsible lack of personnel. It's obvious that MyEyeDr's corporate overlords have implemented "lean staffing" policies that make it impossible for even diligent employees to provide timely care. This greedy, abusive understaffing directly caused me to miss a vital therapy appointment. As someone who relies on carefully scheduled care to maintain my mental health, this disruption to my treatment and self-care at a vulnerable time was devastating. MyEyeDr's profits-over-people mismanagement of resources threw a wrench into my essential healthcare. It's clear this business cares more about pinching pennies than providing proper patient support. They're willing to understaff locations and leave both employees and patients floundering just to juice their margins. The anxiety, frustration, and disruption to my care plan I suffered as a result is unforgivable. Patients are not just line items in your budget to be squeezed for every last dollar, MyEyeDr. We are human beings with important needs and commitments outside your doors. The utter lack of regard for our time, health, and emotional welfare displayed by your abusive understaffing is disgraceful. I have never felt so devalued and disrespected by a healthcare provider's business practices. If I could be compensated for the incalculable cost of the time and therapy I lost to your toxic policies, it would still barely scratch the surface of the harm done. I advise everyone to steer clear of MyEyeDr and their unethical lean staffing approach. Protect your time, your health, and your dignity and find an optometrist that actually invests in adequate staff to serve patients properly. No one deserves to have their time stolen and their mental health jeopardized by such rapacious, self-sabotaging corporate greed. This experience has shaken my faith in medical businesses and left me feeling deeply violated and unvalued as a patient. The trauma of being so deprioritized and mistreated due to an intentional refusal to responsibly resource a medical practice will stay with me for a long time. MyEyeDr needs to take a long, hard look at their staffing policies and remember their obligations to the human beings in their care. Patients are not an expendable resource to be bled dry for the sake of your bottom line. Until you start properly staffing your locations and put people over profits, you are not worthy of serving vulnerable healthcare consumers. I'm sharing my story so others can avoid being victimized by your abusive "lean staffing" practices. Take your business elsewhere, folks. MyEyeDr will just leave you lean on time, lean on dignity, and bled dry for their balance sheet.

Horowitz and have been for years...she is simply the best...so…read morecareful to check thoroughly, has sophisticated diagnostic equipment to give a comprehensive exam, takes time and takes you seriously always seeking to help you feel and see better...these things have been true for years, but last month, I had cataract surgery and my eyes were very different prescriptions afterwards...this is a temporary, but frustrating situation...Roberta helped me enormously! First, she had adjustable glasses that could be dialed to work for either eye while I waited for my eye to heal...then she knocked out the lens of my glasses that covered my "New" eye which helped balance my vision - and blessedly, she got me new lens for my eyes, old and new, that have restored me to good vision...you don't what you have until you don't have it, but if you're lucky, you have a resourceful and caring eye doctor who makes it her business to help you where you are...an oh, her frame selection is fabulous! MY glasses never fail to elicit compliments because they are unique and gorgeous...go to Dr. Horowitz - you will be glad you did...and all that has been said about the family atmosphere, the friendliness of Debbie and Julia - all true...high quality care from genuinely nice people!

I purchased frames & lenses and then waited ten days (as expected - thus began the range within…read morewhich I was told they would arrive). On the first day on which I was told I could expect the frames to be in-store with their lenses, I got a call asking if I would be satisfied with another color, perhaps green, although I had ordered gold frames. I asked for a full refund & an explanation of what occurred, instead. They told me that the frames were going out of production and that an Under Armour rep repossessed the frames that they had in-store. What I suspect actually happened is they just order frames off the grey web of resellers on behalf of their customers (adding 200$ to the price, for the "service"). Hence their inability to rely on their procurement process. I asked how I might track down another pair of those frames, they did supply me with a contact that seemed reasonable. The people there could not help me, much as I'm sure they couldn't help whatever receptionist or salesperson made the calls to try and procure the frames they had already sold me before they tried the honorable grey web - if indeed they ever did. I'd almost count this as a benefit, but the truth is the kind gesture of letting me get stonewalled by some megacorporation didn't really help me at all, it just wasted yet more time. Never happened before in my life. I've gone through a lot of frames, too. It felt remarkably like being scammed. If I wanted to buy something and never receive it, I'd just go to the grey web myself. By trying to get glasses here, I added 14 days of wearing broken glasses into my life, which has been some minor trouble.

She's made some really great improvements to the business too. I know she cares and has breathed some new energetic life into the business too. My eyes suck, they just do. So they're pretty tricky to work with and Dr. Pusz has always been very patient with me and my questions and concerns. I basically come in every time and say, I think I'm slowly going blind and she just reassures me that's not the case very calmly and I appreciate that. But if I do have valid concerns she will investigate the issue. She has sent me to some specialistists and done tests to just make sure everything is okay (which everything has) and I appreciate that care. The other thing I really like is their eyeglass selection. I definitely go for funkier glasses and while they absolutely have traditional frames, they have some really fun and funky glasses. One pro-tip too, if you like a pair of sunglasses frames, they can make those regular frames for you too! I've picked up some fun striped cateye Kate Spade glasses that are my absolute favorite I own. It takes a couple weeks to get them in, just a heads up. I will say it can take a while to get my contacts in. I get one-day disposable contacts and have a stigmatism. I'm not sure if these are a "special order" item or not. But it's taken up to 3 weeks to get them in and sometimes I don't think that far ahead to order more before I run out. So just be aware you will need to order contacts from them well ahead of when you think you'll be running out. The whole staff is very nice and it's easy to see why, it always comes from the top down. I'm so glad to have Dr. Pusz taking care of my eyes and I actually look forward to my visits to chit chat and catch up!
