Have been coming to Bittner Vision for years and decided to continue going there even though I moved to Ross. Dr. Delserone is the best opthomologist that I've seen. She is so kind and considerate. She also recently saw my mom who had a sty and needed some support. They have a nice selection of glasses too. I got mine there and use them with blue light support while working. They're nice. read more

At my appointment a couple weeks ago, I brought my sunglasses in to see if they had a replacement nose pad. I asked the woman who helping me purchase contacts if they had replacement nose pads, she said yes & said that she can put the new nose pad in. She took my sunglasses into the other room & while replacing the nose pad, slipped with the tool she was using, broke off part of the prong that holds the nose pad in & bent the wire part that connects the sunglasses to the nose pad holder. Since then, I've been back 2 times to have the wire part adjusted & told nothing can be done for the broken prong. Since the nose pad isn't held in securely, I asked if the sunglasses can be replaced. I was told no because they were not purchased there & the brand isn't in network. I said they weren't broken before that incident & she told me that they shouldn't have worked on them since they weren't purchased there. I get that but it's not my fault that the woman offered to change it out & broke them. Of course these are my prescription sunglasses, too. The doctors here are good but I am very unhappy with how this situation was handled. I don't think it's fair to punish the customer for the employee's mistake. read more

This is a corporate practice. It has good staff and selection of frames and the lenses I just got are good. The staff are very businesslike. I prefer a smaller operation. Probably hard to find vs franchises. read more

Going here for years but Dr. Gregory Bittner is retiring. I will be in his son's good hands,

Tried all day to get through to make an appointment. Couldn't leave a message because it said their mailbox was full.

Great doctors and staff. Highly recommend. Take the time to listen to your concerns. Also have a great selection of glasses and are not pushy. read more

Very professional staff and knowledgeable doctors. I've been going to this service for years and recently had my daughter join as well. Highly recommend. read more

I just realized I didn't leave any details in this review. We used to go there 12 or so years ago and loved it. Then they stopped accepting our insurance so when I go new insurance I was very happy to find out the accepted it. We were happy to return. Things went wrong pretty quickly. Went to pick up my daughter's glasses and she told them she couldn't see. They said take them home and try for a week or two and call if she doesn't adjust. So we call and the doctor is on vacation. Wouldn't even schedule an appointment told me to call back. Then my daughter went on vacation. When she got back I called set up an appointment and they told me since it's been 30 days there is nothing they can do for us but give us a partial refund. I believe it was $100. When we spent close to $300. On glasses that could not be used. Plus time off work for appointment times and transportation arrangements. We told them immediately something was wrong. They pressured us to take them anyways. Then would not accommodate or try to make it right. Will never return and sadly cannot encourage anybody else to go either. read more

UPDATE: I don't know what is going on, but they are now refusing to see patients who will not take allow a voluntary test at the cost of the patient. A family member had to cancel the appointment because they would not see her if she didn't allow them to do the test. (I feel like this is them trying to make a little extra cash because they were closed for so long due to COVID-19.) We will not be going back. I don't usually brag about doctors, but this office has the most accommodating and kind staff. When my frames broke, they were able to get me into the office to see if anything could be done with them. While they weren't able to fix them, they did have another set that I was able to purchase. When selecting my next set of frames, the staff was patient, and even giggled with me as I took selfies to actually see what I looked like in my potential new frames. A staff that can joke around with you in that right way is rare, but they are at Bittner. A few months later, when I was due for my exam, they got me in, and were worked with my crazy s. I like how precise and careful they are with the eye exams. As someone who had eye surgery as a kid, this means the world to me. read more

Staff needs retrained in insurance claims. Insurance information should be run prior to visit so your out of pocket expenses are known upfront. Refused to give my contact script until I paid for a fitting fee that I didn't even know existed. My script was basically held for ransom. I paid the money, will never go back and do not recommend using this office for any needs. read more

Prompt courteous service. Questions answered! Clean office. Large selection of frames.

i went here for the first time. The staff were very pleasant. Dr. Manko took her time with me, answering any questions I had as well as explaining things clearly. I didn't feel rushed. The offices were very clean and organized. Paula was very helpful and took her time picking frames for me to try. They have loads to pick from it was difficult deciding. I liked the fact that they disinfected all the frames that were tried on. Can't wait to get my new glasses! read more

Great specialists, however those who work in the glasses "shop" upsell customers. My family has been going there for decades (previous location included), and we've identified these patterns independent of each other. Recommend for check-ups, but order your glasses/contacts elsewhere. read more

Mondays are the busiest day of the week, scheduling patients from noon to 7. I made appointments for contacts on Mondays with Dr. Delserone. While sitting in the hallway waiting to see her, she always stopped to say hello and to ask how my eyes are doing; all while seeing other patients. If you're in for contacts, you will see the doctor before AND after you get your contacts for proper fitting and prescription. Something I rarely experienced before. Their eyeglass collection is not very big nor unique but somewhat chic (on the conservative side). read more

Wonderful staff and office environment. They were able to schedule my appointment for the following week from when I called. I was received promptly at my appointment time. The Dr and Aide were both very friendly and welcoming. Couldn't really ask for better service. The frame choices were plenty. The person who helps choose the frames and fits them was fantastic. Excellent visit in every way possible! read more

The eyeglass portion of the practice charged me $200 for safety glasses that were covered by VSP insurance and should have been free. They didn't pull the correct authorization and used up my regular glasses insurance by putting the safety glasses on the wrong plan. They say there is nothing they can do because they made me pay for the glasses before I could check my plan and now they say too bad. There are too many eyeglass places, I'll never go here again. I hate being swindled through incompetence. read more

After waiting months for an appointment, they told my daughter (who is special needs) that she didn't have insurance (even though she did). Therefore, rescheduled - for several months later since nothing was available. Had to reschedule due to COVID-19 for another few months. Then received a call the day before her appointment saying she was required to have an ocular test due to COVID restrictions which Bittner Vision is requiring even though it is not covered by insurance and no discount is being provided. Caller was quite rude and told me to call my insurance and tell them about this issue - it was not Bittner's problem. Quite disappointed after being a client for many, many years. read more

I have been seeing Dr Bittner for many years. Recently I was having some vision problems and he told me to come i early on a Friday morning before his first appointment. After a comprehensive exam he said i might have a partial tear in my retina and made arrangements for me to go immediately to the Ophthalmology Dept at AGH. They saw me immediately and repaired the tear that day and i was back home by 12:30. Many thanks to Dr Greg for recognizing the problem and taking care of all arrangements. I was told that we caught it early and that made things easier. Thanks again to everyone at Bittner Vision read more

And they have tons of choices for glasses and you will find yourself frustrated with several favorites. But don't worry. They will help you out and make sure you get the best. They are also very experienced with the insurance coverage and you will never get a surprise bill. Highly recommended! read more
