In May I went to see Dr. Gurney and had an exam and ordered Progressives. The new glasses did not seem right for me for reading, but I thought I'd try and get used to them, as was suggested before. They do not test new glasses before you leave, which it seems they should. I finally tried a pair of cheap Walmart reading glasses. Could read much better than my $350 progressives! My wife urged me to go back to the office and when I did I was told the reader part was -2.50, when the cheap ones that worked on me were -4.00! Seems like a goof on the prescription to me. Not sure. But since a few months had passed, June said I was out of luck. She also said something about the far vision (top) of the lens would affect the bottom, which seems wrong to me. My wife had gone back a couple months ago and had her new glasses changed due to a wrong prescription. Her second pair still isn't right, but she refuses to go back again. We will not return here.

I went in later on that day and they put them on for me and the customer service was wonderful! I would recommend them to anybody. I also had needed a new battery for my car last winter and they had one at a reasonable price and installed it quickly and had me on my way. I had checked two or three other places and could not afford the battery at the other locations but New England Tire had one that I could afford and it was such a relief.
