They made a…read morefraudulent purchase using my best buy card and after I complained, I canceled the card and took out a new one. The fraudulent charge was put onto the new card. I immediately canceled that card which I NEVER received in the mail and I canceled the subscription the charge was for. best buy security put the charge on the CANCELED card two months AFTER I canceled it. They claim I owe the money. I also canceled my total tech subscription and was owed a refund. They stole that, I was told they wouldn't give me the refund because I filed a complaint of a fraudulent charge. Next thing I knew they stole the refund and put it towards the charge they said I owed. So now, online I owe less but I received my January statement and they are still billing me the whole amount of the fraudulent charge. They also threatened me. They said they were going to report me to the three credit bureaus if I didn't pay up. The charge is fraudulent because they didn't have the courtesy to email me BEFORE it was due and alert me to that fact. Geek squad should NOT have access to anyone's best buy card and best buy security definitely doesn't have authorization to use it. Do NOT shop there unless you pay with cash or a check. Do NOT get a best buy card. CITI bank who issues the cards are also corrupt. The proof for me is the fact that I never received the second card and yet they are saying I have it and the fraudulent charge was put on it AFTER I canceled my original card and the subscription it supposedly was for. If something is charged to a canceled card that constitutes fraud! and in this case best buy perpetrated the fraud! I am actually responding to best buy who saw my post and offered to "help". Unfortunately they think everyone in the world has either facebook, twitter or instagram. I have none of those. This only proves to me that they don't care and aren't willing to assist. They can email me at my email if they are sincere about fixing the issue. I find that no one at best buy has any integrity given how they have treated me. Response from the owner a week ago Hello! However, after purchasing this camera and lens set for around $1000 all it arrived at my house today in an oversized box, 4 times the size of the camera box, with one piece of flat bubble wrap sitting in the box. The box was crushed, not entirely Best Buy's fault, but a smaller box and suitable packing material would have fixed this. So now I have a $1000 camera and lenses that have banged around in a box with no guarantee they will work when the recipient of the gift opens them under the tree. SHAME ON YOU, Best Buy, you are a niche brand. If you want that to continue to survive in the electronic world, fix your QC regarding packaging. You are selling expensive electronics, treat them with care, it is all you have going for you. My camera box was not properly packaged and I will most likely return the item and seek an alternative source. The next one from another source could not possibly be shipped worse.

Because I was moving, the new laptop got packed away before even coming out of the box. A month later I started up the new Lenovo and the screen immediately began to glitch. My new machine was defective right out of the box. I took it back to Staples thinking it would be a simple exchange. It was not. Their story policy did not all for the return/exchange as i missed the return window for electronics. Staples tried to bring the machine up but the defective monitor did not allow for and repair/diagnosis. Rats! But the machine was still under factory warranty. I placed a trouble ticket on the Lenovo website and was assigned a case on February 2, 2021. I waited about two weeks, thinking I would at least have a follow-up message about my machine. I replied to the email with my case number asking for an estimate. I use my laptop for my writing gig on the side (and to post these Yelp reviews!) Bottom line, I needed to get back on the web ASAP. I frequent Topsham where this unassuming little shop is located on the second floor of suite 2 in Topsham Fair Mall and thought, I'll check it out. I was impressed by the cozy waiting room, masks were being enforced due to covid, and social distance measures were put into place, clear dividers were used to shield customers and staff. I sat down with owner/head tech Josh who specializes in Lenovos. He was sympathetic to my plight and said Lenovo will probably never get back to me, so he offered to take over my repair claim and with his magic connections he'd give them a call. WHAT A RELEIF! I was able to unload my headache and put it in the hands of a professional repair tech who has over 15 years experience in the industry. Mr. Mason provided top-notch customer service, he really empathized with my plight. I trust my machine is in good hands. Skip the big box, check out the Nerd Barn for computer, phone, tablet, etc. repair needs.
