I bought a laptop two weeks ago. The "k" key did not work properly right out of the gate. It's still under manufacturer's warrantee, and hte warrantee I bought from Staples. They wouldn't replace it. They wouldn't fix it. They gave me a phone number to call, who transferred me to another number, who tried to tell me I had won a Walmart gift card, & then hung up on me. This is APPALLING service. Amazon offers Staples as a company that packs and ships returns free of charge for their business customers. As a chain store, ALL Staples should offer the same services, and be aware that their company is an advertized participant. IDK who has the authority to share this info with the Staples employees; would be a good business move to have it come from a person working for the company! read more

This Staples location seems very relaxed as you'll find the staff hanging out at the front end of the store having casual conversations while there are shoppers in the store. It's a good size location, but the configuration is all over the place. Compared to some stores, their aisles are on the outer perimeter with a traffic flow of left to right. Most stores I have visited have their aisles in the center of the store with a front to back traffic flow. I was able to walk the entire store and only encounter one employee who was coming out of the back a large box. The rest of the staff was non-existent, as they stood at the front of the store. Prices seem to be a bit higher than what I recall, but again Staples has never been a cheap store to shop at for some items. Selection of products is limited in some areas, but again the aisles are much smaller than what I have seen in other stores. The checkout area is confusing as its difficult to understand where to checkout and how to exit without the need to check out. Personally, I was not happy with my experience at this store and would only use it if I am in the area. I would prefer to go to the location in Lewiston as the staff is more interactive there. read more

Only ok. I ordered a pork burrito with black beans and rice. They asked about salsa and I requested pico de gallo. They said that they didn't have it, they only had salsa. So, I got the medium. This probably should have stopped me. Pico de gallo is easy and great. It it's a testament to freshness. The burrito was underwhelming. The pork was highly shredded, not juicy. The cheese was an oddly flavored shredded orange cheddar. It had an oddly fishy aftertaste I think.... No garlic in the black beans. I think there are four categories of Mexican in Maine: Not edible: Margaritas Edible: like Lisa's Legit Burritos Pretty Good: Chipotle/New Taco Trio/Taco Escobar Transcendent: El Rayo, Sal de la Tierra, old Taco Trio Overall, it was just ok. The burrito tasted a lot like a cold spoonful of cold Newman's Salsa. And I think that their canned salsa is what they count on for flavor. It is nice and clean with nice staff. read more

Chris, the store manager, is very helpful, kind, efficient, and knowledgeable. His patience with me as a non-techie has been a lifesaver and encouragement. I had problems with my MS Office 365 program. A message came up that my subscription had expired, but it hadn't. My programs were shut down. While it's a big box type store with that corporate warehouse feel, the staff at the Augusta Staples are amazing. The store is clean and parking plentiful. The parking lot is usually well plowed in the winter. They accept Apple Pay. read more

The staff at the Augusta Staples is amazing! Very kind and professional. They treat their customers with respect and care- the way customer service should be, and they know their stuff! I like the fact that there is training going on- manager to staff and staff to staff. They were also very respectful of each other, which creates an environment that people want to shop in and revisit. Gerry helped me, even though I walked in 15 minutes before they closed. I've never used Staples for printing before but I would definitely​ do it again! The prices weren't​ bad and the quality of the print was good. They messed up pages that were supposed to be double sided but it wasn't a big deal. Staples is definitely​ the place to go for your best office needs. The employees were friendly and a few approached us to see if we needed any help. Some things were good for the price but others you can get cheaper elsewhere. I also had an in-store pickup order. This is tour standard Staples but has a great document center. The parking lot is a little weird to get to though. You have to by pass Target, go down street to the right then enter parking lot. Staff was neither friendly or rude just there lurking about. read more

This review concerns the both Staples, and their next door neighbor, Best Buy in Augusta Maine. I had needed to have some repair work done to my son-in-law's laptop, and also needed to purchase a Fitbit watch, two computer cases, and some ink cartridges. After walking over to the tech counter, I noticed three males in their mid 20s engaged in working with a attractive twenty-something female. They were completely enthralled with her issues with a remote control, and seemed quite eager to assist her in understanding it. An elderly gentleman was seated in the area, and after a few moments of being ignored by the employees at the tech counter, he tapped my arm and informed me that I would need an appointment. I stated I was waiting for someone to take my information. I asked how long he had been waiting, to which he replied "10 mins or so." I asked if he had an appointment? He replied, yes, "ten mins ago." I left Best Buy having spent $0.00, and proceeded to walk over to Staples (just a few feet away) where they serviced the laptop, at a cost of $120.00. I purchased a laptop case ($39.99), a copy of Office 2016 for Mac ($149.99), Color Ink Cartridge for my HP All-in-one ($89.00) and a few other odds and ends. They did not have the Fitbit in stock. However, when the Holidays are past, I will return to a Staples to purchase one. So, helpful and accommodating service at Staples earned them my business that day and over $420.00. Best Buy's indifference and distracted employees cost them that amount, plus had they had the watch ($199.99). More importantly, they have lost any future business from me. I sure hope the cute blonde in the spandex was able to get her remote control working. But if you are NOT interested in waiting, being ignored (despite who is wearing spandex) save your aggravation and go to Staples. You are already in the Parking lot anyway. read more

Same problem as the other guy. Went to best buy . service was terrible. Waited to be a acknowledged . I needed a quick assessment . they had no interest. The woman in front of me had been waiting obviously much longer. She walked. Never to return. The woman behind me had a appointment 1 1/2 hrs. Earlier. Was still waiting. Spoke with management didn't have a interest in helping any of us. I left pissed off . went next door to staples was seen within a few minutes. My problem was resolved a few minutes later by a employee by the name Victoria. I think. It's not a question. I will be buying all my electronics and office supplies there from now on.
