Lots of parking, but towards back of strip mall, so not sure of safety at night, but they had two nice ladies working at 6pm. Oh yeah, they have tanning booths i guess you can use while waiting for laundry. A good spot to wash your clothes if you are travelling.

For washing machines, there are several options: 20lbs, 30lbs, 40lbs, 60lbs, and 80lbs. The machines have 9 different modes with various temperatures. Washers and dryers all have card readers, which is nice . It is 24 hours a day, and there is a counter and people who work here, however it is not manned 24 hours. The lady I've interacted with has been very helpful. The first time I came I was trying to figure out how to set up the dryer and she came over and explained it to me. And I've seen her assist many others as well. There are two vending machines, one with snacks and one with drinks. There are two TVs with cable, one in each end of the facility. And the place is stocked with one public bathroom. The place isn't always super clean, especially the floors. Trash bins have been full or near full most of the time when I come here. But they do clean, they just can't keep up with the demands. It does get really busy and quite crowded on weekends, something to keep in mind. I would show up around 0700 or 08 at the latest to avoid the crowd. During the week it's much slower.

So, I have checked out a handful of laundromats in the Lewiston/Auburn area and I've decided this is my favorite. (Disclaimer: I don't use the washers, only the dryers.) But, the nice lady who works there is very helpful and she recognized a new face when I walked in, so she gave me the run down of how to use the dryers. You can also leave your clothes for drop off and pick up. All the machines take cards or coins which is so handy. They are all pretty efficient, I've never waited more than 45 minutes for a huge load of clothes to dry. There's a couple folding tables, a handful of carts to roll around your clothes in and a TV playing your typical daytime shows. Most importantly, it's clean. The floors are clean, the machines are clean and even the parking lot is clean. I recommend.

It is a comfort to be able to do your wash without contending with the crowds and competition for washers and dryers of much larger laundromats. The staff at Auburndale is helpful and friendly. The washers are nearly brand-new and very reliable. Although the dryers have been in place for some time, they have always worked well for me. I have used this facility several times since moving to town and every time I have seen and chatted with the friendly attendant. The machines are typically in good working order, they run on debit/credit card, there is also an in-house laundromat card system - I don't use that per say. While you wait there is excellent free Wi-Fi, need a snack? The facility is right next to a Cumberland Farms, and a local Chinese take-out (I'll try that soon and let ya know). There is plenty of parking and it's in the heart of Winthrop close to Hannaford, and other conveniences. I am happy having this little gem so close to where I live. It makes laundry day not feel so much like a chore. I would be remiss to add this is also a tanning bed salon for those looking to use that feature.
