This Walmart is okay at best. The shelves are very often bare, which might be due to how busy it is, but it happens frequently enough to be frustrating when you're trying to grab basics. Checkout is another issue--there are rarely any regular lanes open, and self-checkout almost always has a long line. The store is clean enough, but nothing stands out--it feels very bare-minimum. Overall, it works in a pinch, but it's not reliable if you're trying to get in and out quickly or find what you need without hassle. read more

This review is for customer service department. Maybe it's the holidays and we're all in the holiday spirit. I was dreading to return my online order because of the bad reviews but this location is closest to where I live so I half-heartedly went. Surprisingly, my experience was great. There weren't long lines, there was more than one associate waiting to help. I was greeted with a smile. I was asked if I had a receipt but then quickly acknowledged she can pull up the order. She asked if I want the refund back on the same card and I confirmed. I'd say all was completed in less than a minute! Absolutely breath-taking these small things that should come basic with customer service but has been overlooked through the years. Highlights were as follows: * a clean and organized store * staff around to ask for help * excellent pricing My most recent visit was a weekday at 5 AM. Of mention is an employee who walked me to an area to locate an item. A negative for me was self checkout only. I don't care for self checkout and not only Walmart, but Target is pushing this hard! This is a huge superstore with dozens of associates roaming the store but only one cashier. There were seven people ahead of me. The manager walked over and said that's all they staff and, instead of opening a cash register, walked away. When I called her out she said to call 800-Walmart. I sat on hold for ten minutes before I was disconnected and able to reach a live person. I'm still in line. I'm staring at two associates chatting while NOT assisting anyone. Then I was charged twice for a BBQ and had to catch the large error. read more

I'm so sick of the self checkout at this Walmart. I shop here once a week for the last 5 years at least. I shop once a week for a family 5 so obviously my cart is full at checkout. The four lanes for self checkout with a larger bagging area are closed like always at this location. So upon entering the checkout area a man named Dennis pointed me to the only available register with a 12 inch wide bagging area. I told him at that point I have to many groceries for that register, and he insisted that I use it anyway. So after explaining to him I didn't want to put the food I just bought on the floor. Because anyone could see I have more groceries than will fit on that bagging area. He insisted and I went over there and began to scan groceries and place my food on the ground. By the way if this is the food handling practices going on in the back the health department should shut this place down. You can't put food on a dirty floor that people walk on. Any ways as I was bagging groceries and putting them on the floor a lady with a similar amount of groceries takes the register next to me same problem has to put her groceries on the ground too. The difference is when she puts her food on the ground immediately Dennis pushes over an empty cart and gives it to her. Then this unprofessional ridiculous man sneers at me before he walks away to do whatever it is they pay him to do. Of course I finished and payed and went straight to customer service to complain to the manager who was very nice but only made excuses for the bagging situation and the 3 useless employees standing in self checkout that let this happen. Enough is enough Walmart will never get any of my money again. Doing the math I know that's at least $12,000 a year I'll go spend them at any of the other 10 grocery stores within a 5 mile radius. Today my mom and I went to this Walmart. We shopped around the store then we went to scan and go. This lady is staring at us, which we don't mind she's doing her job. I had the receipt in my hand. She then pointed at a pair of shorts that look like they haven't been scanned. My mom then shows her their in a bag. I then asked her three times if she would like to see the receipt. She says no and then walks away. I then proceeded to walk out the door and I already have my receipt out so the lady at the front door can see what I bought. I handed her the receipt and she proceeds to look threw every bag and going down the list. She then asks what's a led light? I showed her what she was talking about. I've literally never had such abysmal customer service, like i'm actually sort of impressed at the massive balls the "workers" (if they can be called that) at the vision center have to be able to treat customers the way they did. I went in for an eye exam and a new pair of glasses, after being referred to this Walmart from ANOTHER one, saying this one had multiple doctors and is very customer attentive. Anyway, both of those proved to be a lie. I showed up to ask for an eye exam/lens & the two ladies sitting down laughing, didn't get up to say hi, didn't greet me, treated me like an inconvenience, told me very rudely WE ARE NOT A DOCTORS OFFICE. ??? To which I then ask, can they at least pop the lens out of my BROKEN glasses into a new frame so I can see, since I just drove 40 minutes half blind from another walmart to get some vision. To which this other joke responded, you can't pop lens out of glasses frame. And made up some diagnosis along the lines of "throws off the center of alignment of your vision" so it's "not a thing" Since when? People have been reframing their lenses for YEARS. Still only two stars for this Walmart that has seen better days well before I reviewed it the first time, three years ago. While the floors and signage have been upgraded, the operation seems to have remained unchanged with long lines at the registers, produce that seems well picked over and several shelves with missing items. The first TWO shopping carts I tried to use had broken wheels. And yet, it's cheap and it's convenient. I ordered a Walmart delivery- paid extra for the rushed shipping. Now, half my order was substituted. Honestly no big deal - i approved the substitutions quickly. Then the number one thing I ordered the shopper said was out of stock. Which I found hard to believe because it was just bamboo skewers. Well come to find out they are in stock and them employee just didn't care. I tried contacting them immediately, and even offered to pay extra for the metal versions. I got no response after multiple attempts. Now the driver is on the way to my house . Great- I have to now make a personal trip to go get the skewers from the same store he's leaving from. Whatever- I cut my losses and then when he's 5 minutes from house he marked it as "attempted delivery- returning to store will try again later." First of all, I paid for rush delivery. Secondly this driver never once tried to contact me. I have had successful deliveries from other companies many many times in the past. The worst thing about all of this tho is the chat representative just kept saying it will be delivered by 5pm... And to be patient... excuse me , Ma'am! I have raw chicken and other perishable items in this order that have already left the food temperature safety Zone for over an hour at this point. And you expect me to wait and serve my family poultry that has been sitting for hours!! No THANK YOU! The customer service representatives were just copying and pasting responses off another screen you could tell. Listen, I've worked in food safety for over 10 years. Food borne illnesses kill so many every year. It is never worth the risk especially when children and elderly are involved. I cancelled my order, because I don't trust your team at this point. but you need to train your staff on the importance of food safety and temperature danger zones. This is probably one of the worse Walmarts in HR area, hands down. Almost always super-packed, lousy parking arrangements, generally rude customer service...however, not today! It actually looked cleaner than the last time I was here (over a year ago), used the self-checkout so I was in/out without encountering any bad customer service. And finding a parking spot was relatively easy this time around (Monday afternoon). But most importantly, they are the only Walmart that happened to have in stock TBS6 Mimban Stormtroopers, and at $17.97 each! Checked a bunch of Walmarts in Norfolk, Chesapeake, EC, and three in Virginia Beach. This was the only one that had them. I just happened to be in the area, but I normally avoid this particular Walmart like the plague especially on a weekend. It's the only Walmart I've ever been to that uses traffic guards because of the poor road design. Traffic guards, who, if not for the safety vests, could be easily mistaken for homeless people doing Samaritan work. Nonetheless, five stars for today! And only for today. read more

I try to avoid this Walmart as much as possible. It's always packed and parking is always a hassle. I decided to go one Saturday just to pick up a couple of items because I was in the area. While we were there my daughter realized that she had lost one of her earrings so we headed over to the jewelry counter. It took 15 minutes for an associate to come to the counter. I purchased the earrings and as we were headed to the door I went to grab some gum from a closed register. As I went to grab the gum I noticed something run in front of my feet. As I was about to say something my daughter screamed "A MOUSE!" and jumps on the conveyor belt. I threw that gum and we ran out of there. I informed one of the gentlemen getting the carts and he said he would let someone know. All I know is I won't be back to that location. read more

This Walmart is pathetic and it all starts at the top with the store manager, Marty, who is on a power trip. And the poor customer service trickles all the way down. There was a relatively substantial issue when I was there and when the front end manager was no longer able to help, she said "the store manager is going to come up to see - but just so you know he's in a bad mood today. And he's the store manager, so..." (I guess I was supposed to fill in the blank? "So don't expect him to care?" "So don't dare ask for what you are entitled to?" Not sure where that hanging "So..." was going) But, regardless, I'm not really sure how it's my problem that the store supervisor isn't able to check his emotions at the door and do his job properly. This review is in regards to home delivery from Walmart .I actually deleted my app after my first experience. A broken leg and I need home delivery. I ordered what I needed to find that some of the stuff was going to be shipped a few days later. And then one of the items they just automatically put it for store pick up. If I was able to pick up I never would've ordered home delivery. So I deleted the item that they wanted me to pick up and went back to re-order it and then they doubled the price. Wow looks like everyone already knows this Walmart sucks. I'm here for a "pickup" at the kiosk. It's a great idea but they know how to turn a great idea into a mess. I make a return to the service counter at 8:59. I ask the lady how to do the kiosk pickup. She sends me over to get my barcode scanned. At 9:03 I stand there waiting ... and waiting. An employee on a break at subway tells me to "do it again"...so I do and wait because she says it could be "in the back". At 9:15 I ask for help and the man at the door tells me to press the red button. Nothing happens... for 5 mins. Then at 9:22 he sends me to the 4 people deep line at customer service. I'm ready to leave but I paid for it already! Not to mention I don't know where else I can buy it. There were 2 people working at customer service and as it's my turn one of them walks off! Finally, the lady at CS takes me to the kiosk, where another woman is waiting! They physically go to the wharehouse area and at 9:45 I get my pit boss grill cover... For years the manager had the American flag hanging backwards. Many military people pointed it out to him but eh ‍he didn't care. Now the flag outside is barely up the pole. Store could be better in comparison to the other local Walmarts. Grocery and produce don't appear to be stocked frequently enough. There is always empty shelves or shelves that aren't fronted. The produce that we get always seems to go bad in a couple of days. Some of the produce that is out is sometimes already bad. At least take the bad ones out. The store itself is fairly clean. I don't see too many out of place or discarded products all over the place. At times, the electronics department seems to be void of associates. Overall, the store is okay to go to for items that are not necessarily a must have because it's not a guarantee that the product will be fresh or even be there at all. read more

This Walmart has gone downhill significantly. Aside from it almost always being insanely busy which isn't really their fault. The employees are some of the worst I've ever encountered. Not ALL of them, but I'd say probably about 90-95% of the employees DO NOT CARE to do anything resembling their jobs. You'll see most of them either BS'ing with their buddies or doing their "job" as slowly as possible. Oh and if you aren't sure where something is, or need a cabinet unlocked good luck asking for help. Half of them seem to not have the slightest clue about their stores inventory. Either that or they will refuse to help you because it's "not their department". But the positives: usually pretty good stock, self checkout is plentiful and usually pretty quick, store is for the most part pretty clean. read more

Shoot out to my Walmart for good customer service today! I was grocery shopping and looking for heavy cream for a recipe I'm going to try out. I've never bought heavy cream before so I'm wondering down almost every aisle trying to figure out where it is. Three stocking guys stopped stocking and helped me look for it because it wasn't where they thought it would be either. Finally the third guy said everybody it's in the Dairy section on the last aisle. It was next to the Milk... WHO KNEW?! Lol. I'm here for PICK-UP. I wanted to try this out for the first time to see how convenient this is. Let me tell you a few things I don't like about this: -on the app, they might not or don't have it at all of what you need. -it needs to be $30 or more to pick-up -you can't order around 4pm on because most likely they won't have times available for pick up that same day and you would have to pick up the next day -they email you your order is ready. So why is that when I get there I waited 20 mins??? And I had to call where is my stuff. -they bag 1 item each.. leaving me with so many dang bags -the employee took one bag at a time to put in my car Lord. If I wouldve went in the store and grab my stuff myself, I would've been in and out in like 5-10mins. Very inconvenient for my first time doing this. read more

Florina, the cashier, is a very very rude and disrespectful woman. She made me wait to ring up my things while she chatted with another cashier and looked at pictures when I first approached the register. I let it go. I then wanted to purchase a snow globe, but because she couldn't find the price tag on the item she didn't want to sell it to me (lazy). So I asked her to get me a manager. She REFUSED to get me a manager! So she then pointed to the managers and said, "well, that's my daughter over there. Go ask her." LAZY!!! And rude!!! So I had to walk over and approach Patti and she understood that I needed a price tag for the item so that they could sell it. Mind you PATTI IS NOT FLORINA'S DAUGHTER! Mel (a customer service manager) stated that it is a term they use on the frontline. So that just makes it okay? You all are professionals at the end of the day. Florina was trying to discourage me from buying the product because she didn't want to find a price tag to sell it. However, I worked here as an 18 year old girl and Walmart will sell you anything. On top of this, they have phones that help them look up item prices and item numbers to sell the products. Additionally, in the end when we found the item number so she could do her job, she then in turn ACCUSED ONE OF MY KIDS OF TRYING TO STEAL!!! Like what is going on!!! My son was being helpful! He found a basket with re-shop in it down the seasonal aisle and was GOING TO PUSH IT BACK TO CUSTOMER SERVICE BECAUSE THAT IS WHERE ALL THE RE-SHOP GOES!!! Wal Mart night mare is what this place is. I avoid coming to this super center at ALL COSTS. Luckily, this isn't my home Walmart and I ONLY come here when I desperately NEED to come here. It is always crowded, you can never find parking, it's so unorganized, and the employees are snobby and rude. Especially in the self check out area, there's always one employee that stands there to make sure everything goes accordingly. Well unfortunately, the ONE time I had to go to this Walmart, the employee, Jalissa was so rude and so impatient with not only my family, but everyone standing in line behind us. We all know how Wal-Mart goes. 50 lanes. Four are open. Long lines blocking the walkway. Wal-Martians walking around... So if I were to review Wal-Mart there would be something of substance. Tonight I have just that. Rolled in this afternoon. Walked up and down every aisle dodging screaming kids, moms reading nutrition facts on products (not) and I even heard a guy said that a particular product was cheaper somewhere else. I'm ready to check out. Guess how long I waited in line? 30 SECONDS. Does that ever happen? Perhaps. To me, never. I'm normally in line for at least 15 minutes staring at super models on the cover of magazines. Not today. I found me an open spot and swung on in there. I do admit that I sped past this older lady that had 10x more crap in her cart to not have to wait. Thought not having to wait in line at Wally World would be something worth Yelping about. I hate this particular Walmart. Over the years it has gotten worse and worse due to the patrons and customers. I don't understand when or how it happened but I cringe every time I have to come here. Sometimes, there would be hundreds (no exagg either) of crazy, squawking seagulls or other birds just flying and hovering over the parking lot that scares me enough to make me bust a U-turn and leave. I'd rather spend that extra $1 at Farm Fresh down the street. I hate that. It gives me the heebie jeebies. Reminds me of a scene straight out of The Raven. So anyway, when you walk in you'll notice there's 50 registers and only 5 would be open on any given (good) day - and that's not even counting the "20 or less registers" and self-check out registers. I sooo hate that. I've seen Krispy Kreme come and go from this location, which broke my heart. No one remembers but it was only there for like 5 minutes. That was going to be this location's saving grace but for whatever reason it didn't stay. Now it's a Subway, which actually has saved me from a grumbling hungry tummy on more than one occasions. I'm thankful they brought back the self check out lanes because once upon a time they had them, then I think bad people abused them and they got taken away. I used to drive all the way to the Red Mill location just for my sanity and a great chunk of peace of mind!! With all that said, Walmart - Super Walmart at that, serves its purpose. Note the generous 2 stars I give. Otherwise it really should only be 1 star! Some locations are what I call true one-stop shops because some offer auto/car services as well. I have tried everything to get the bakery to charge and order my wife made could not get them I tried every numbers so I called the food pick up number and got a woman named Marcella she took her time to help me and walked over to the bakery and got the help I needed she went out o her way to make a difference. I immediately come back walk in with the receipt and the old lady at the door gave me a hard time because I was returning an item I just brought not even 10 minutes ago. This is the closest Walmart to my house and as a result I find myself here way too often. This is a "super" Walmart meaning you have the home and pharmacy side as well as the grocery side. Because this large plaza is home to a strip mall as well as multiple fast food restaurants, the parking is almost always atrocious. Sometimes I choose to do my shopping late at night just so I can get a good spot and not wait in extended lines. The lines can be very frustrating. Why on peak days and times would you have 5-7 of your 20 some registers open? It never makes sense. Walmart is your true one-stop shop though. It has all the goodies you want. The staff are okay and sometimes border on meh.. We do our groceries here for most everything except our dinner meats and seafood. We'll keep coming despite the challenges. read more
