We came to this outlet mall few hours past noon on a very hot day. Parking lot was all around with lots of spots to handle the crowd. Common space was a mix of open and shaded area, mostly clean and well maintained. There were a good number of shops, but most of them were smaller in size and were carrying lesser number of products. While exploring the outlet, I walked into few stores but didn't find anything worth buying. The sales tax rate was also very high 12%. The food court was little sad. There were few different shops but most were abysmal. The dining hall was also underwhelming with old chair and tables. Overall I wasn't very impressed with the experience, and was one of the least exciting outlet mall I had visited. read more

This outlet mall is nice but I was expecting it to be bigger. Parking was plentiful and the variety of shops had something for everyone, including a Starbucks with A/C full blasting. You know we had to sit in there awhile with our coffee and tea to cool off from the blazing heat. We checked out the Nike store, Torrid, Sketchers, and Hot Topic. Surprisingly my mother found earrings she really liked in that last store while I got a bunch of anime shirts. read more

The outlet mall is a nice addition to our area. They have several stores like Crocs, Bath and Body Works, Michael Kor, Nike, Tory Birch, and more. There's also a food court with Charley's Subs, a Chinese restaurant, and a seafood restaurant. Its not many restaurants in the court, but there are other food options around the outlet like Jamba Juice, Starbucks, and Auntie Anne's. There's a candy store also, but its kinda pricey. But you can find all sorts of chocolates, gummy candy, truffles, ice cream, and etc. At the entrance of the outlet there's other restaurant choices as well, that may be better than some of the food court options. I do like the outlet, but can't stand the parking. It gets pretty crowded and you may have to park further away. They do have a few parking spots in front that you can pay for to park closer. You scan and pay about $7. There's plenty of benches and areas to sit at and even a play area for the kids. There's a pond that you can see from the food court as well. The food court area has a massage chair area where you can pay for chair massages, and there's a cell phone accessories store inside as well. This is a nice outdoor outlet with plenty of stores to shop at. Check them out! read more

I had to go to the outlet because I bought some Crocs online that were WAY to big. The outlet has a Crocs store! Problem is that I have a bad back and left knee. Walking long distances is not optimal for me. So I get there and drive around looking for the closest route. UGH!! I called the store and the nice lady told me approximately where to go! The Crocs store is nearest to H&M. I had to park in the side where the bus parks. Parking wasn't bad because it was the weekday! Bad is that the outlet doesn't open from both sides! Like a walk through. And perhaps better visual maps not just a list and arrow saying where the stores are! Not everyone wants to be out there ALL DAY!! I'm really a "know what I want, go straight there, and I'm out!" Type of gal! On the up side, it was close to the bathrooms and the property is very clean! read more

I really enjoyed my time at this mall. It has a very good selection of stores and the prices were very reasonable. It's not a huge mall but it's the perfect place to bring your kids to get out of the house. Kid activities: They have a pretty nice size outdoor play area that kids seem to enjoy. There are plenty of chairs all around as well for when you need a break from shopping. They also had a face painting booth, a train ride around the mall and a outdoor jumping area. Cleanliness: Very clean mall and the bathrooms and food court were also very clean. I will be returning here. read more

There are great sales in certain stores, you've got to just find them. My favorite stores are H&M, Banana Republic Factory and Old Navy. Theres a nice central area where kids and pets can run around. Shops are clean and organized which adds to the total experience.lots of square footage to cover to get your daily steps in! There's the food court, Starbucks ... and a whole slew of restaurants by the entrance road leading to the shops like Duck Donuts, Chick Fil A, Pho, etc. it's the only outlet in Hamptons area. read more

The Norfolk Premium Outlets has definitely been a good addition to the Hampton Roads area. You no longer see people having to travel to Williamsburg to shop at an outlet mall. They constantly have deals even during the off season and outside of Black Friday. On hot days, there is a lot of shade which you don't find many at an outlet mall. They also have a children's area which can be so convenient. There are a lot of benches outside of the stores which is perfect for the husbands waiting for their wives to shop (lol). They keep it clean and well kept. So much parking. So many stores to choose from. It's always a go to whenever we're back home visiting the 757. read more

I haven't heard much talk about this outlet since it has opened and I'm trying to understand why!. This is one of the nicest outlets I've been to and maybe the newest as well and let me tell you I have been to quite a few over the years so I know the difference. The setup is nice and neat with plenty of outdoor seating and stores to explore,so if you're a shopaholic ( I'm not, I just like nice and new things ) then this is the place you might want to give a try! I will definitely return in the near future when I have the urge to make a purchase and I truly believe you should as well. I have worked at an outlet and visited many in the past 10-15 years. I don't consider Norfolk Outlets to be near my 10 list. Although it is clean, there are too many cons that outweigh the pros. This outlet mall is NOT dog friendly. As someone who travels with their pet, it was disappointing to not be able to shop in the majority of the stores. Other outlets, including their anchor stores, allow well-behaved dogs inside. Also, the prices, where we were permitted in, were not significantly lower than than their full-priced counterparts. The last major con is the traffic trying to enter or leave the area. There is one way in, one way out. It took 15 minutes to exit due to the I-64 split on ramp backup and people blocking the major intersection of the exit. The next time I visit the area with my dog I will definitely keep to the beach stores that are easy to access, welcome us both, and have unique, well-priced items. read more

Upkept and beautiful to walk through, especially during the holiday season. Plenty of shops to visit to cross off every person on your Christmas list! We were only visiting the area for the day but stopped in before lunch to visit a few shops. Lines to get into stores can get long but I'm pretty impressed by the capacity limits and precautions they are still taking during COVID. Parking and traffic getting in and out is also a pain but it could've been the time we went. Great deals all around over Black Friday. Old Navy Outlet was the one shop we spent the most time in to buy some nice holiday pajamas for the entire family... This location was HUGE and had a wide range selection - we were impressed we actually found sizing for everyone! read more

If they want $50 for a pair of crocs, it will STILL be $50 even after "discounts!" Unless you are an admiral, general or wealthy person this place will quickly cause you price fatigue! read more

I love Norfolk Premium Outlets!! Although I haven't yet explored all the stores, they have many whose merchandise I love. Under Armour, Nike, The North Face & Le Crueset are among my favorites. The location is perfect for me. The majority of the time I enter from Northampton Boulevard. The entrance is just east of the I-64 ramps. Turn lanes have been added so you won't get entrapped in expressway traffic. I think you can also enter from Military Highway but I haven't yet tried that option. There is a back way into the Outlet Mall from Miller Store Road, which is on my shortcut to the airport. It isn't a major entrance and has a very small sign that you must be on the lookout for. You enter at the back with quick access to the parking that I usually use. The mall location is perfect for travelers though the area, who are either on I-64 or Hwy 13 (Northampton Boulevard). Hwy 13 leads to the Chesapeake Bay Bridge/Tunnel and is a major route to the northeast via the Eastern Shore & Delmarva Peninsula. I can't imagine a more perfect location than the confluence of I-64 & Hwy 13. There are new businesses & a shopping center along the entrance road from Northampton Boulevard. Signs speak to additional planned development on the entrance road. Out parcels at the Northampton entrance have also been developed. New hotels are springing up as the seeds of development have been planted. I love it!! Parking is plentiful, although I have one complaint. There are not enough disabled spaces designated for the general population. The few they have are always filled. They have done an excellent job of providing plentiful parking designa for disabled veterans. A wonderful thing about the parking is that the parking lot number (actually alphabetic) is listed on the business map/listing signs that are located at various spots on the center courtyards. If you have walking limitations, you might find that it's easier to go back to the parking lot and choose another lot. Otherwise one might have a long walk to an outer rim store whose pathway is from a different courtyard. The mall is an outdoor mall. There are 4 (or maybe 5) center courtyards with rows of adjoined stores leading in both directions. Plenty of benches and seating is available to rest or regroup. The stores are new, clean and architecturally pleasing. Simon Properties has done a wonderful job with both the appeal and mix of stores. The one store I have seen in other Simon Properties that is really high in my wish list for Norfolk is an Ugg Outlet. Please bring that store to Norfolk Premium Outlets. Pretty Please....!!!! What a wonderful job the City of Norfolk has done in bringing us this treasure! I'll shop there over and over and over again. read more

We only visited two stores -- Columbia Sportswear and Northface -- but our experience was good. We were mostly able to buy what we were looking for at good prices. We came back with hiking shoes and socks, warm hoodies, and lightweight hiking shirts. Prices were especially good for items going out-of-season. Parking was plentiful. read more

Again, a review I know I've left a few years ago that I don't see here! How does this keep happening?! I've not visited these Outlets as often as I'd like, which is weird considering I drive past weekly for work. There are loads of great stores and deals to be had here, plenty of parking and food all around, and a great central location. This is a new and well laid-out Premium Outlet mall space with dozens of stores and all the ones you love like Nike, Loft, Aldos, Levi, Columbia, Coach, Kate Spade, Zales, Ralph Lauren, Adidas, American Eagle, Bath and Body Works, Le Crueset, Crocs, Kay's Jewelers, Michael Kors, Vans, Tory Burch, Tommy Hilfiger, Vans, etc. etc. You get the picture. It's a lot. I like the layout - the parking sort of hugs the stores and you can target your trip if you have a quick few places you want to hit and you know where they are. I like how the stores are broken up and in between there is shade and seating with charging stations for phones for those boyfriends and husbands who don't want to go in every store and I like that there are tons of bathrooms. There are a few stores like As Seen On TV and a Beef Jerky store to break things up but it's a great mix and it's super close to IKEA as well so you can make it a whole shopping day right in this area. For food there is an AuntieAnnes Pretzels, Starbucks and Jamba Juice which are their own store spaces and there is a somewhat disappointing food court hidden in the back with an ATM, some snack machines, and a few hibachi-type places and a cheesesteak spot. It's huge and expansive and has tons of windows and seating overlooking the water, but the selection here has just never taken off. It's probably a tough spot to be for the vendors. But don't let that deter you! Entrance is super easy right off the interstate and it has stoplights to get you in and out in an orderly way so it's no problem no matter which direction you are coming from. read more

Although I honestly feel like the Williamsburg outlets are better, having this locally is pretty nice. Very clean overall and with the crowds dying down, it's actually very peaceful just to take a walk. You see lots of moms walking the strollers in the mornings and what a great spot for it. I wish they had something like a sports bar or even left a few holes or driving range open at the old Lake Wright golf course.... that would have been awesome! It seems like a lot of wasted space but overall, it's nice to walk through and occasionally find great deals. Have a stroll and see for yourself! read more

This is a really nice outlet! My daughter goes to school nearby and while visiting her, we took a detour to visit the outlets. Of course, she 'needed' some things so we did some shopping. They have some really nice stores and restaurants, and even a Starbucks. The place was super busy, which is a good sign. I get the impression the first planning conversation between the Simon company and city officials was "how do we NOT make this another Military Circle Mall?" The result is a decent collection of stores hoping to appeal to a diverse group of shoppers. The outdoor recreation spaces with lawn games, copious seating, playgrounds, gazebos and performing stage appeals to multiple demographics. Our family has enjoyed casual cornhole here, even once while listening to a live band perform. On an unplanned trip in December, we were delighted to participate in kid and family friendly crafts and activities centering around Christmas! As for the businesses and trendy franchises, they appeal to brand loyal folks of all ages and races. Aside from my wife's addiction to Starbucks, we like the interactive digital maps/signage that exist to guide you with ample restrooms along the way. The fact that they're connected in close proximity makes finding things a bit easier and is also likely widely appealing, especially to older patrons or those with difficulty getting around. The only related negative is the non-existent cell signal in and around various shops coupled with the high probability of getting wet during inclement weather. I'll also man up and admit I was suspect over placing the mall in an already congested part of Norfolk; however, I haven't noticed a major drag on traffic flow. In fact proper planning and execution of completed road construction may help. I do like how the mall is situated relative to the parking lot moat; during the first 6 months it opened, I had difficulty finding a parking spot but that has subsided recently. We certainly take advantage of the back "Miller Store Road" route when visiting. While the food court is ok, my wish list for this site contains more recognizable food options over time. This would ideally be in the form of more established restaurants as well as local foodie type dives. read more

This place is gorgeous. I think there will be more stores in the future but at least they have all those popular stores already opened such as Nile, Polo, Tommy, Coach, MK, Vans, Converse, North Face, Columbia... And of course there is the Auntie Anne's Pretzels,and also a Starbucks. Not sure if the food court is opened yet. The sales seemed less that the outlet in Williamsburg or Tjmaxx and Marshalls, but I'm not judging this place about the prices of the individual stores. The mall is huge and nice. There are many sofas tables, chairs and benches all over the mall, so don't worry about finding a spot to rest during your shopping day. There are also many resting areas with plugs for you to charge your phones. The area is pretty good too. The mall is surronded with a lake and there are some small bridges that allow you to walk to some arbors. Many trees around too. read more

Move over Williamsburg Outlets... don't get me wrong, they're fine, but Norfolk Premium Outlets takes your shopping experience up a notch. And c'mon, everyone needs an outlet. Not only are the stores plentiful, but the place is immaculate. It's open, designed beautifully and not crowded because of the wide layout. The parking lot is big, and not congested. Lots of seating, chairs and benches along the promenades. There are heating elements to keep you warm on chilly days too. Several nice restaurants and snack shops are located in the mall so you can recharge! No need to shop til you drop here... take a load off and regroup! The view of the water and fountain are relaxing and the clean rest areas add to the pleasant environment. For an amazing retail shoppers experience, this is the place! A nice outlet with much to offer! One of my favorite things is the outdoor play area they have in the middle of the grounds. There's bungee jumping for kids and a grass area with chess pieces and other assorted play items. Another thing to my amazement is that the information board for the map is touchscreen! It was so cool being able to find exactly what I was looking for and maneuver things around. First time I've seen such a thing in any type of mall. For the most part is it peaceful and the store selection is nice. Parking is plentiful even when I went on a Saturday afternoon, which is always a nice thing. Going here isn't my top option, but it is still nice to have it around. read more

Well.. I like the set up of the outlet. You park outside the perimeter of the outlet and inside all the stores are connected in a common area. It's like a mall with no roof. If that makes sense? There's plenty of stores with more stores to open soon. The few stores I did go into, I can't say they were good deals because I did find the exact merchandise cheaper elsewhere. I like the fact there are plenty of seating areas and a little play ground for the kids, so you can still come to the outlet to let the kids play as you watch from couch without needing to shop. Talk about a surprise! I have not been a fan of The Norfolk Premium Outlet location whatsoever. It's too congested already and I believe traffic solutions have not been thought out thoroughly. However, after today's visit I'm going to massage the rough parts on access a bit and discuss the fantastic development in an untapped piece of prime real-estate. Simon Properties is a reason to trust that this will be a first class outlet mall. Is it first class now? No, it's only in its second week of full operation and they are making strides everyday to get better. At the same time the foundation created with a terrific layout and strong stores will have seasoned shoppers satisfied with this oasis in what previously was a city of Norfolk golf course. Let's bring out the challenges of the outlet. Access off North Hampton/I-64 is not ideal during peak traffic in the afternoon. There is a light at Wesleyan coming from Norfolk for left turns and shiny new white cones to prevent lane changes. They did extend the turn a hundred feet, or so. The turn from Virginia Beach off North Hampton is a breeze as long as your in the right lane. The secret entrance in the rear is the back way in and out that I suspect will not be used nearly as much. It's access is off the airport loop road. Parking seems plentiful, but for some reason most everyone choose to only park on the North lot when the West lot had tons open today. Overflow parking is in the grass off of North Hampton, a site for additional phases of development. Employees are being bussed in. The entire property sets in Norfolk with the Virginia Beach city line a few hundred feet away. Virginia Beach wanted in on the action, but was shut down by Norfolk Council who saw a path to arrange parking within their city limits and keep all the profits. In my opinion Virginia Beach city planners have an opportunity to do something along Burton Station Road. But do they have a plan? It appears not with the development of a new apartment complex just off North Hampton. The design of the initial phase of the outlet is broken down in four sections and is all open air. A cool green space in the center is utilized for children to play corn hole, chess, Jenga, or just run around. The walking corridors are wide and I found the walks clean. There seems to be adequate comfortable seating in all the wings and they even have plug-ins for devices. I also saw plenty of restroom facilities. The main attraction water space with fountain has a gazebo that's nice for photo ops, but that's about it. I assume this may be where a future phase will take place because everything else is parking lot. More toward North Hampton a new strip and a Chick Fil A is planned. The current hotel will undergo a complete remodel in 2017-18. They have a tour bus drop off/pick up that is on the West/highway side. If the mall will be a real success this piece of business will be vital for them to be profitable. A small food court is on the grounds, but I did not visit. The stores I shopped at today were ready for business and fully functional with adequate staff. Are there bargains to be had? Well they kicked it off the first week with insane deals and then individual stores choose pricing, markdowns and sales. This was disappointing that early into launch. Today I did see deals and pricing better than retail. In a few stores it seemed no better than full retail mall shopping. Those that are smart consumers and shop frequently will spot the bargains and avoid the full retail pricing. I'm not going to be a super regular most likely, but I will return. I suspect as the outlet grows it will be more of a draw for me and others. A strong 3.5 and I'm rounding up with expectations they are on the verge of putting together a great shopping experience over the next year. 9/10/20 1600 Premium Outlets Blvd, Norfolk, VA 23502 On our way home from Virginia Beach last week, we stopped by the Norfolk Premium Outlet. We wanted to see what kind of clothes this outlet had or items for our home. I myself have clothes I am going to give to the Salvation  Army  this month.  I have a lot of clothing that I simply do not wear and I think someone will benefit from them. I might give up my Ravens sweater from London England  back on September 24th 2017. It was my first time seeing my team get their asses handed to them.  Not quite as bad as last year's playoff catastrophe where we shot ourselves in the nuts.  I am getting off point, but i will say this. If i don't get rid of the sweater, it is because it is a constant reminder of not underestimating any NFL Team.  Back on track,  Underarmour,  was the only store clothes for me where I got clothing items. This means three more of my old shirts will get a trip to a new owner at the Salvation  Army. The outlet was selling some nice shirts, but the ones I picked snag easy. I wish I had known this before they were bought.  I do not like this. It changes my mind on getting rid my old Underarmour shirts.  The kid who showed off his ass and genitalia  in Underarmour store  still disturbs me. His mother did not notice him for several minutes. Several minutes seemed like an eternity to me.  I wouldn't be surprised if someone else took a picture of this ridiculous behavior. After leaving the Underarmour, we headed for a place to get something to drink...preferably cold.  Jamba Juice was the place that worked for us. Watermelon with peach instead of pineapple hit the spot for me.    Norfolk Premium Outlet is very serious about people wearing masks. Signs were everywhere and stores not servicing people who refuse to wear masks. I also noticed that the urinals were spaced out so no one could next to you. (You know the saying...guys in a line...okay I made that up.) I get this, but can't understand the separation and closing of private toilet stalls. These toilet stalls already have a metal barrier between you and your stall buddy Tristan or your girlfriend (remember ya'll girlfriend is just an expression boys and girls) Libby. It doesn't make much sense,  but okay. Still, Norfolk Premium Outlet Is taking no chances when it comes to safty.  While on the toilet, I got the privilege of hearing a dad tell his kid to shut up several times as his kid was crying.  The kid messed himself and was humiliated.  The father obviously had no desire to help clean up his son's mess. Apparently the father had his wife in mind to handle the problem.   REALLY??! BE A MAN. I might not be an expert at changing diapers, but it doesn't take a rocket scientist to clean up a shit scene.  Someone once said "stupid people shouldn't breed", (can't remember where I heard that) but I think some people shouldn't be parents if they aren't willing to put in the work.   It reminded me of a woman I dated for a short time. She ended up having sex with the wrong guy and became a mother. The father wasn't ready to be a father (from what I saw on the one and only time I saw him).  Don't know what the outcome for them are now, but the kid has to be in college or close to it now...man I feel old... The father telling the kid to shut up again snapped me out my previous thought. The kid was crying for his mommy as the father walked out of the bathroom.  The sounds of crying faded after awhile.   After telling my wife of what I had heard, my wife sees a spiral of events happening when the kid grows up.  History repeats its self?...maybe? Shopping was fun, but got old after awhile. I saw some store's that were located in bad locations and saw they were either forced to close from lack of clientele,  or because of the Coronavirus...or both. The landscaping around this outlet mall is nice and scenic.  I also noticed the fake grass in the garden are covering something torn down. I am guessing some kind of water fountain area.   The ground is uneven in different sections and someone is going to get hurt at some point. You Guys might want to get this fixed. Aside from this, the mall is well kept up. Oh, and I saw an adult male wearing cowboy boots with booty short. This reminded me when I did this a a kid. I was informed by someone wiser that this is not something people do.   I say each to their own, but I still got a smile out of this. Because that was me at one point in time. My idea of what I find acceptable  and what is not acceptable for me has changed.  It is clear the brother wearing the booty shorts, tight shirt, and cowboy  boots is  very comfortable in his own skin.  All the more power to him. I look forwards to returning to this outlet one day. Maybe the Coronavirus Outbreak won't be around next time. We will see. read more

This is an excellent shopping outlet. It's clean, has good vibes, and has a lot to offer. It has a ton of parking spaces, which is important. They play music as you're walking between stores. There are various places to sit and relax throughout the complex. There are places to shop, eat, grab a drink, and just relax. There are a ton of stores to go to and the prices are good. Definitely a nice place to do your shopping. read more
