I wish I could give this place 0 stars, but this will have to do. I went in here the other day looking for bathroom equipment for a parent whose immune system is severely compromised. The woman working the sales floor was not wearing a face mask! This is a store whose entire clientele is at high risk for COVID-19, and she's not wearing a mask! I mentioned this to another employee who said "oh, she has a medical condition, she can't wear a mask," which is total BS. It's not like the virus can tell she has a condition and will therefore decline to infect her or spread itself to others- and any medical condition that is so precarious that one can't wear a face mask also makes the "patient" susceptible to the virus. If she's so sick she can't wear a mask, she shouldn't be in public at all. This is pure selfishness and highly irresponsible to your customer base. read more

Deserves 0 stars. Ordered a tub bar for infirm relative. Was called a couple of weeks later saying "backordered, but we have another one to send that is more expensive but we won't charge you extra". I agreed as it had already been a couple of weeks since ordering. It came in a package that had several layers of tape, obviously had been returned before. We made arrangements with the relative at a time convenient to her. The item had a part that had come unglued, so we fixed it, before trying on her tub. It didn't fit. Med Emporium ignored my email to them, and won't take returns that have been opened (it already had been when we got it), nor after 3 days of delivery!! BUYER BEWARE. Received a call from Med Emporium today that they were going to "repossess" my sister hospital bed for a $12.80 balance. They received 80% from primary insurance and had not received payment from the secondary insurer (as of yet) My sister is totally disabled and can not sleep in a regular bed....my question to Ms. Donna Daves, billing supervisor at Med Emporium is.......WHY threaten repeatedly to repossess a bed for 12.80????? BTW...I was told that they can't accept the payment from me....the only recourse is to come get the bed!!!!! I WILL NEVER USE THEM AGAIN!!!!!!! read more

I wish there was no stars to add on this review. My mother is a amputee with severe heart failure. Her old bed was broken so we ordered her a new one from Med Emporium because Tycon didn't have her bed in stock. Usually when we order a hospital bed Tycon would set it up and show her how to use it and make sure everything was setup and ready to use. Not with Med Emporium. The first problem we had was with the delivery of the hospital bed. This man didn't leave a card with his name. He set up the bed and left the railing to where my mother couldn't get in her bed. My mother kept trying to tell the worker about the railing being in the way, but he ignored her and was in a hurry, Then left the other bed in the middle of the floor where my mother drives her wheelchair. My mom asked a few questions about how the bed worked and if he could plug it into a outlet for the remote to work and the man said it wasn't their policy to show or setup the remote for the bed. The second issue was when we ordered her a gel overlay for the bed. Yesterday a worker named Daniel Cunnane came to deliver the topper. He was very short and in a hurry like the last employee. She was trying to ask questions, but the employee was just aggravated and ignored her.The two times she had interaction with the workers from Med Emporium were unexceptable. There is never a reason to be rude or dismiss anyone you are doing business with. It is even worse to leave a disabled senior high and dry, not being able to use the product to help them live as normal as possible. Some of their customers I'm sure don't have somebody like me or other family to stop by and help them set up equipment. If we wanted to get a gel pad left in a box or a bed she can't use I would order it online, but you would think that a medical supply place with a employee title such as Medical Equipment Technician would setup and be able to answer questions about the equipment. Next time we will wait for Tycon to order what we need. read more

The staff was very rude and unprofessional. They were unhelpful and had horrible customer service training. I felt like I was discriminated against because my last name is Spanish. The woman rolled her eyes at me numerous times. Didn't even try to look up my insurance information just told me she can't help me then I asked her a question and she proceeded to raise her voice at me. Filing a report with BBB. I will never spend any money here and will be telling others about the rude staff. There's people out here who need jobs that actually want to work and she can't even do her job. Getting paid to sit on the phone, turn customers away, and being disrespectful. Shame on management for hiring these people to work with the elderly and disabled. read more
