I actually called and made the appointment on a Monday and was able to get an appointment for the next day! I love this location and I've loved it ever since I first became a patient here and it was great to know that they still had my information years later. I was seen by the technician first and then the actual optometrist I think I was in and out in less than an hour and was able to order contacts for a later pick up. Super glad I was able to use my insurance before the year was out. The parking is not necessarily a problem there is only parking available on the street and I didn't have an issue finding a space on the street right in front of the building. Super friendly employees inside. It's always a pleasant visit. Check them out if this is apart of your network if not still worth a visit here while they offer glasses as well. They have a night of the week dedicated to late appointments and are open until 8pm. Which is so awesome because I don't have to leave work early to make my exam here whenever it's time and that's so nice. I know it's hard to do that everywhere but I seriously wish most offices would do this one late night a week, or every other week, or once a month so you could schedule and not miss work during normal hours! It's such a great thing! I always schedule late - like 6:20 or 6:30 and when I show up they're winding down for the night with just a few people inside and final appointments. I've never waited longer than about 20 minutes and I spend the time on my phone, reading one of the provided magazines, or trying on glasses in their little eyeglass/sunglass shop - this week I waited just over 10 minutes and was called back. I had a routine comprehensive eye exam to check if my vision had changed in both my contacts and my eyeglasses and then I had the screening done of my eyes with the machine that does not require dilation (thank god). I then did a contact lens fitting, chatted with the friendly gals in the back for a while and saw the very kind and friendly doctor who took the time to go over my scans with me, show me the last year's compared to this one, and discuss any concerns I had. I ordered contacts which will be shipped to my house and was emailed, today, the rebate information to get $75 back! I had a great experience, everyone was friendly, and I left just under an hour after checking in after all that! Love this spot. Less than 10 minutes from my house and they always do a great job.

I've had a vision exam here as well as purchasing classes for myself. Exam wise I recommend 100%. However, I would NOT RECOMMEND this place for glasses. My son has had numerous vision and eye testing here. He currently has vision therapy every Tuesday for 12 months. They're giving him excellent care for this. You do have to pay out of pocket, they do not accept insurance and it's extremely expensive. I also purchased glasses for my son through them last year and it's process was subpar. The opticians were not very pleasant. They didn't seem very attentive. For me, my glasses have been back ordered, which is fine, but they don't do well reaching out to the customers to keep them in the loop. I had to call several times to inquire about my glasses. Takeaway: definitely get a eye exam here!! Go somewhere else for glasses!!!

He has also caught several potential problems during routine exams and addressed them, or referred us out if needed. Every opthamologist I've met, and there have been quite a few, has enthusiastically endorsed Dr. Enochs and said what an excellent doctor he is. Just as importantly, he is a compassionate person who truly cares about his patients, and that attitude is reflected by his staff. Considering all the positives about him and his practice, I am more than happy to wait for an appointment. Better that than to risk my eyesight to someone else and probably be nowhere near as pleased as I am with Enochs Eye Care.

My parents both wear glasses and we had previously been going to the optometrists and retail LensCrafters in MacArthur Center once a year every year for as long as I can remember and always have had a great experience. That store has now relocated and the closest to me is Lynnhaven Mall. I had previously walked into the retail side and a lovely woman named AJ helped me adjust my glasses that my toddler broke until I could replace them. I was looking forward to coming back to her to help me pick a style after my exam. I scheduled my appointment yesterday morning for that afternoon at 4pm. I arranged for my husband to get out of work early and watch our son to accommodate this appointment. I showed up at 3:55pm. At the front desk were 2 women one 20s/30s and one was older. The younger one greeted me and then proceeded to say and I quote "...yeahhhh we didn't have a phone number on file for you and your email didn't work so your appointment was canceled." The form did not require me to input a phone number or insurance. It even said on the confirmation email (of which I received THREE confirmations to the same email that "didn't work" for them) that I could fill out forms and provide insurance in person at the time of my appointment. They continued to tell me they could reschedule me for another day. I'm a very patient and understanding person, I don't enjoy confrontation. There was no apology for wasting my time. No effort to accommodate me. The lady beside her was her supervisor as I learned when asking to speak to someone else. She also met me with attitude, rolling her eyes and refusing to look at me, typing on her computer while I was desperately trying to seek resolution. Unprofessional, disrespectful and just downright rude. I wasn't yelling or cursing I was just upset at the situation and honestly, even a simple apology for the mistake would have gone so far. But not once did they even say sorry, in fact, blamed me saying I must've spelled my email wrong or there was a problem on my end. I received various spam emails and work emails to my same email after booking. Aside from this, I don't even understand why the appointment had to be canceled. I could've provided this info on the spot. My appointment was confirmed as BOOKED multiple times via email. I suggested perhaps there was an issue with their email host. Again met with blank stares. Disappointed is an understatement. Neither one of those women should be in a customer facing position. I'm disheartened to take my business elsewhere for my eye exams however AJ and the other gentleman working the retail side are absolute customer service rockstars and tried to help me afterwards.
