How surprised I was when my GPS took me to this large shopping area for a specific restaurant. I had no idea that it existed. It's a winding, clean, up to date shopping area with a plethora of stores & eateries too numerous to list. Landstown Commons is beautifully landscaped and maintained. The restaurant I visited was in a cute area with a small one way around and back with a greenway & trees in the middle. It was very aesthetically pleasing. The selections of businesses in this area were mixed and varied, leading one to want to revisit & explore. What a change the Dam Neck, General Booth area has experienced in the almost 40 years since we were house hunting following our move from Atlanta. During that time there were almost no housing developments in the area. We looked at one under construction on the east side of General Booth. But there was absolutely no shopping centers or eateries. It felt as if we were in the country, in the midst of fields. Dam Neck & Plaza Trail had not been extended. Nimmo Parkway didn't exist. Who would want to live in an area with no amenities? But who could have envisioned what it would become. Now the area is teaming with shopping, restaurants & housing developments. After my first visit I think Landstown Commons must be the crown jewel of them all. Even though it's a long distance from my house, it will require another exploration visit. It was too near sundown on my first visit to stay. There may be similar areas. I see an exploration trip in my future. read more

This is the most convenient shopping center when I need to make a quick trip either on my lunch break or after work. There is a great variety of eateries and stores that satisfies my need to window shop or spend money! The center has 2 entrances - 1 on Princess Anne Rd and 1 on Dam Neck, both with stoplights. The PA entrance can be a little hairy during the lunch hour or busy weekends, but isn't too bothersome. There are always those who don't want to abide by the unspoken rules of the 3-way stop and yield to incoming traffic. There is ample parking if you don't mind not parking directly in front of the store you are going to during busy hours. Several of the stores (Carter's, Ulta, Old Navy) have curbside pick up so you may see vehicles parked on the curb. I really like that I can hit Kohl's and the aforementioned stores on foot easily as they are on opposite sides of the parking lot from each other. Best Buy is also convenient along with several other boutique stores, Phoenix Salon Suites, IT stores, you name it. Most of the eateries (aside from BWW, IHOP, Ynot and Super Ninja) are on a separate roundabout near the Dam Neck entrance. This can get a little crazy at lunch hour too, so I always recommend parking behind the restaurants for easy-in/easy-out. The center is well-maintained and always looks clean. I notice the golf cart occasionally making the morning rounds before 8am to empty bins and pick up stray trash. So long as I'm working nearby, you can find me here on the regular! read more

Prior to Landstown Commons this section of Southeastern Virginia Beach in Princess Anne had no large scale retail/restaurant area. That changed in a big way with a large scale development commencing in mid 2006. The location was well thought out as both a need for the Princess Anne area and one of the remaining undeveloped areas of Virginia Beach. It sits on the corner of Princess Anne and Dam Neck not far from the city municipal complex and Sentara Hospital. Parking is more than adequate and roomy even on weekends. Minor debris in the area had been a frequent issue on walks. Considering construction began during a significant downturn in the economy Landstown surprisingly pushed on. It grew slowly over 5 years after the initial build out with anchors like Best Buy, Ross, Bed Bath & Beyond and Kohl's holding on for dear life with little traffic. Smaller tenants folded. Today the center has hit its stride and continues to grow with a newer restaurant in YNot added a couple of years ago. Traffic has increased and they are now adding tenants Divaris Real Estate is the manager of the property. Developers have also gobbled up land across the street which has a couple of strips and a major medical center in CHKD. My favorite stop is Starbucks and I'm typically there weekly. I also grab a meal on occasion at IHOP, YNot, Finn McCools and Buffalo Wild Wings. I have also purchased a computer at Best Buy. A few others shopped but not a regular. I'm glad that this is a tardy review because my quandary was a 3, or 4. I'm comfortable with weak four stars and hope they continue to grow and stay strong. read more

Landstown Commons - Shopping Centers Near Me - Virginia Beach, Virginia

I love going here after a trip to the farmers' market or before, depending on the time of day I get out there. Some of my favorite stores are there and there are plenty of restaurants to choose from, as well. Check them out! read more

This is a very large and very open shopping plaza. If you don't know where your store is, you're going to be driving around a good bit. It's a very strange shape with some blocks of stores over here and others over there that's just... confusing. Big chain anchors including Books-A-Million, Bed Bath & Beyond and Kohl's. Surprisingly, no Wal-Mart or Target. That said, it's new, it's clean and there is a ton of parking. read more

Awesome shopping center located in the princess Anne area of Virginia Beach. Closer to the court houses. There are several shops here and there is room for more. They have restaurants, dessert places, office max and clothing stores. Along with that they have home decor stores and craft stores. Great place to take the family to shop and eat. read more

Multiple shopping choices-low end and high-end which I think brings in a great variety of shoppers. I think there are more restaurants/dining establishments here than anything else. If you get hungry while shopping there are many options to choose from. I admit the stores are really spread out. On a nice weather day I try to park and walk to at least 2 places. But more likely than not you will need to move your car a few times if you really wish to explore the shopping center. I have dined at Peter Chang, but I haven't fully explored that end of the center. I'll definitely work on getting around to that. This ULTA is huge. I love it. I usually come here for Ulta, Ross, Kroger; Bed, Bath & Beyond and Starbucks. Get your caffeine fix at Starbucks so you can keep shopping. read more

Great assortment of shops and restaurants, as well as conveniently located near the VB SportsPlex AND the TPC!!! Can't get any more convenient than that! There is everything from Starbucks to Yoga, and dining to shopping and spas!!! It's great place to go for a quick run before the Super Heroes/Villains Run read more

Landstown Commons - Pre-race run at Lands Town Commons with Rob and Rick! - Shopping Centers Near Me - Virginia Beach, Virginia

When Justin Timberlake visited Virginia Beach to record his FutureSex/Love Sounds album, he commented that it's a town of "strip malls and Chik-fil-a's." As a local, I'm sad to admit he's absolutely right. Noting that, Landstown Commons is exactly what you'd expect from a Virginia Beach shopping center: a bunch of brand new and nicely decorated chain stores with nothing spectacular or different to attract you. I mean, how many Best Buys and Targets can one city possibly need?! If you live in the area, you might be happy to have your favorites closer (as if you couldn't find a Ross within five miles anyway). Alas, I long for trendy boutiques, mom-and-pop shops and hole-in-the wall restaurants. Sadly, that's just not Virginia Beach. read more

If you are a shopper living not too far from Princess Anne and Dam Neck, you will love Landstown Commons. This is one of Virginia Beach's newest and largest shopping centers, and it's full of the comforting chain stores we all know and love: Best Buy, Kohls, Hallmark, Office Max, PetSmart, Ulta, Bed Bath & Beyond, Books A Million. Lots of restaurants as well. I enjoyed some Z Pizza there today, but there's also Longhorn Steakhouse, Buffalo Wild Wings, Ninja, Skinny Dip and Panchero's. This shopping center pretty much looks like all the other new centers being built across suburban america: a perimeter of buildings with parking in the middle and a few additional strip malls that spoke out the sides with their own parking areas. Maybe I am just a cranky pants, but I'm tired of all this urban sprawl. Any road in Virginia Beach is simply a means of getting from one strip mall to another. Everything, no matter where you are going and where you are coming from, takes about 20 minutes to get to within Virginia Beach. And while it's nice to have something new and more attractive, like Landstown Commons, why are we not renovating the shopping centers we already have in more populated and convenient areas? Places like Pembroke Mall and the old HQ building near Town Center to create a true down town, rather than building fresh, new shops on the outskirts. While it's disheartening to see how Virginia Beach is taking shape, I suppose it's not Landstown Commons' fault. I still have to give the shopping center 4 stars for enormity and newness. The last star is absent for lack of creativity. At least for those people who live near this pristine new shopping center, it's convenient and saves them driving 20 minutes to the same exact stores in other areas of the City. read more

I live very nearby to Landstown Commons and I love it. When I want to get out of the house and do some "window shopping" this is one of my favorite places. I can stop in Ulta and try on make-up, visit Ross and Kohl's to see the deals, stop in Bed, Bath and Beyond for home goods, Best Buy for some electronics, Hallmark for cards or small gifts, Nail Spa to get a mani-pedi, Skinny Dip for a yogurt snack, Starbucks if I need coffee, Petsmart for my dogfood, Office Max for office supplies, AC Moore if I need craft supplies, or Rack Room or Shoe Dept. if I want to browse shoes, FedEx to make copies or mail something, and AT&T if I need phone supplies and ALL that in one parking lot! And that isn't even everything! The Longhorn Steakhouse is absolutely delicious as well as Ninja for Japanese Steakhouse foods though I think they are relocating soon... there is also a Buffalo Wild Wings and IHop - I LOVE this place! There is also a farmer's market across the street and a yard store where you can buy garden decor or outdoor furniture. It has a new clean feel and the shops are all clean and well-kept. I enjoy shopping here and do it very often. read more

I love Landstown Commons!! It's a nice shopping center and has a little bit of everything - the big name restaurants here are: Finn McCools, IHOP, Longhorne Steakhouse, & Super Ninja. My favorite would be Peter Chang's. There is also a Starbucks (what shopping center is complete without one), and a Skinny Dip froyo spot for dessert. The stores here are: Office Depot, Kohl's, Best Buy, Justice, a few phone stores, Five Below, Ulta, Dollar Tree, AC Moore, Bed Bath & Beyond, & Ross. There is even an ABC store. There are some other ones, but those are the ones that stand out to me. It has something for everyone, parking is decent, and the fountain area is nice. It's definitely one of my regular go-to's of shopping centers. I will give his area 5 stars once they build a movie theater here. (There is plenty of room for expansion.) read more

The Landstown Commons shopping center is a nice shopping center. It's a smaller one compared to some others, but this one has some character to it. There is plenty of shopping, dining, and fun available here. First off, getting here. This shopping center is near the corner of Dam Neck Rd. and Princess Anne Rd. It's not too far away from the Sportsplex and the Virginia Beach Farmers Market is on the other side of Dam Neck Rd. If you're heading west on Dam Neck Rd. to get in here, there are two left turn lanes at that traffic light. Be careful after you turn. The left lane is supposed to turn left at the Walgreens, but I've seen countless times where cars in that left lane cut off drivers in that right left turn lane, which is the lane used to going straight or turning right. A few of the places you can get to by turning left there are Walgreens, Peter Chang, and Kohls, and Petsmart to name a few. There's also an entrance to the shopping center on Princess Anne Rd., which brings you in at the Best Buy. There is ample parking throughout the complex. Now that you've made it into the shopping center, there's lots of places to choose from. You can find all different types of places here from clothing, crafts, books, shoes, and more. There are also quite a few different restaurants to choose from, each with different types of foods to choose from, including dessert type places. Landstown Commons also tends to hold different events throughout the year. Currently, as of the time of this review, they are having a Cruise-In every Saturday through the end of October. If you're looking to do a bit of shopping, this is a good shopping center to visit, It's not as close to the beach, so there won't be as much of the tourist crowd in the summer that you might see at other shopping centers such as Red Mill Commons. read more

This is the closest "mall" to my house and I love it! I have to admit that I like the places that are more outdoors when you go shop then indoors. Sure the indoor malls are great when it's cold outside, but I enjoy being outdoors and this way I get to exercise while I shop. There is a great variety of stores here and I can find almost anything I need/want. Overall, it's clean and the majority of the people that work in the various stores are very friendly. read more

Though not completely filled up yet, this is one of my new favorite places! The place is really lovely and there is something for everyone. It's a great place to spend an afternoon! read more

I like all the choices in this shopping center. I think they do a nice job with curb appeal. Most of the stores are the same as the other shopping areas you go to, but if you are in the mood for Kohls, Best Buy, or good children's clothing then go for it. They have plenty of food choices as well. When you are done shopping here, you can go right across the street to the Farmer's Market for your grocery needs. A bit of a drive for me, but when I am in the area, I will stop by. read more

Landstown Commons - Shopping Centers Near Me - Virginia Beach, Virginia

A very short review from me on this one: Landstown Commons is a HUGE shopping center less than 5 years old, ample parking, and contains a ton of the national major brand retailers you can think of. Dozens of places to shop, and also several restaurants in this shopping center as well. One can google for a full list of the retailers, too many to list! But Landstown commons is a great place to shop, and also get a meal as well. Its new (and still expanding as of this date). It is chock full of places to shop and eat... The best shopping center in Virginia Beach in my opinion! read more

I'm going to be honest, I really like Landstown Commons! Not only is it close to my house, it has all the things I like! First, a variety of good things to eat: Longhorn isn't bad if you're feeling like steak, Buffalo Wild Wings is one of my favs, Super Ninja has great hibachi and sushi, Panchero's is a Chipotle/Moe's knockoff and very good, Firehouse Subs has amazing sandwiches, Finn McCool's is your standard Irish/American pub...Skinny Dip also! There's some great shopping here also. I spend lots of time in Books A Million. Best Buy for all of your overpriced tech needs. The soccer shop has some great shoes and jerseys! GameStop, Ulta, Marshall's, a Bank of America ATM kiosk and an AT&T store! Let's not forget: STARBUCKS! My one complaint is the lack of what would make Landstown Commons a hotspot: a movie theater! They're building more strips across the street so maybe there will be a theater there. One can only hope... read more

This is not the closest shopping center to me but it is the one with the most variety of options to explore. There are so many good stores to shop for a little bit of everything here. Household goods, clothes, electronics, crafts, mattresses, gifts, video games, and more. The dining options are just as diverse. Breakfast, chinese, burgers, shakes, yogurt, pizza, seafood, steak, wings, and more. Parking is never a problem unless you're trying to get a spot around the fountain in the middle of a majority of the dining options. If you don't mind a very short walk, there's plenty of parking a few steps away. If you are ever undecided on what to eat or where to shop, this is always a good place to go to fulfill whatever your needs are. read more

It's a tiny strip shopping center with loads of interesting stores. Nothing fancy in this area but I believe it has everything that a family would need to spend time with their love one's. It's accessible because Farmer's Market and Virginia Sportsplex are just few steps away. read more

I LOVE this place. Its healthier than Ice Cream and soft serve! You can choose all your favorite toppings. First off, the flavors are constantly rotating. Reeses Peanut Butter with Peanut butter cup topping for me! :D read more

Although this shopping center is a decent distance away form me, I really enjoy this area. I can get a lot done and always do when I'm here. My school is just up the street, There's a large variety of restaurants, department stores, events/shows going on near. There are plenty of salons/spas/gyms to choose from, and medical offices as well, you can spend a whole day here and get your whole to do list knocked out. read more

This is my most frequented shopping center because it's close to home and it has a wide variety of stores I shop at. My top 3 favorites are: KIRKLAND'S, Starbucks, and Nails Plus (Henry is the nail tech to ask for, trust me!). Once they finish building YNot Pizza, add that to the list!!!! This center has something for everyone. You need liquor, they have an ABC store. You need electronics, they have Best Buy. You need quick, cheap items? Pop into the Dollar Tree or Five Below (and people, for the love of God, it is NOT Five & Below - there's no "&" or "and," ok?). Need to satisfy that sweet tooth? There's The Skinny Dip. If you're really hungry, you have your choice of Longhorn Steakhouse, Peter Chang's, Pie-O-Neer Pizza Bar, IHOP, Fin McCool's, Firehouse Subs, and now -- CHIPOTLE!!! You want some of the best BBQ sandwiches?? Definitely go to Smoked From Above BBQ - I love it there! If you're a makeup junkie like myself they have ULTA (& a Walgreen's with a drive-thru if you like cheap, over the counter makeup). Spend your coupons at Bed Bath and Beyond, Kohl's, or get your read on at Books A Million. Ross is also there for all your discounted needs. Hey, they even have something for your fur-baby at PetSmart. And finally, if you feel like you need to get a workout in, say hello to Anytime Fitness! Then you know you need to refuel so you're gonna want to grab some food at Buffalo Wild Wings. I know I've missed a handful or two of businesses but come see for yourself. Landstown Commons has so much to offer and I'm so glad it's here. Something for everyone. Truly your "one stop shop." I would give it 5 stars if something like a Home Goods, Fresh Market or Krispy Kreme came out this way. That's just me being a snob. Haha! Maybe I'll open up a Boba Tea joint and that would definitely make it 5 stars!!!! read more

This place is great! The staff is really nice, and I receive fairly prompt service when I come in for a scheduled appointment. Recently, I decided to try contact lenses. And today I attended a contact lens tutorial; teaching how to insert, how to take out, how to take proper care, etc. My teacher was Shernelle, and I really enjoyed her company. She gave clear instructions and information, so I managed to get the hang of it fairly quickly. I'm glad that I decided to try contacts. read more

Like most strip malls, it can be a pain in the butt entering, exiting, maneuvering and avoiding pedestrians. However, Landstown Commons isn't as crowded and comprises some spots that allure me such as, Ulta, OfficeMax, Starbucks, Bed Bath & Beyond, Hallmark, BareSkin Beautique and Zen Hot Yoga! The service was great, but having the Boy Scouts at the door preventing customers to enter and exit freely and having the kid say to us as we're leaving the store "what you're not going to buy from us?". This place made my soccer fan cousin from out of town feel at home. Great people, great store!

This shopping center stinks.... Literally. I've never seen so many cigarette butt stations in my life, which I feel is inviting people to smoke. When I'm walking around with my baby and toddler to go into Carter's or the Children's place, the last thing I want to do is inhale someone else's disgusting second hand smoke or have my babies breath in those toxic chemicals. I'm not crapping on smokers, but on top of contributing to all sorts of cancer, smoking also causes diabetes, cardiovascular problems, induces retinopathy and macular degeneration, different autoimmune disorders such as Crohn's and rheumatoid arthritis, kidney disease/kidney failure,... I could go on and on.... Bottom line is smoking is HORRIBLE for your health (and expensive!!!) so if you smoke, you should strongly consider quitting. It's just not worth it, especially if you have people in your life that love you.... Even though I'm a "regular" at these shops, I hate the shopping center. read more

I have been a loyal Hallmark shopper for many years, for cards, gifts, Christmas ornaments, etc. The Landstown Commons store in Virginia Beach, VA is in the shopping center literally right across the street from where I now live. This all changed yesterday, as I bought a Harley Davidson miniature keepsake ornament on 12/11/12. The box is 2" X 2-1/2", but the ornament is only 1" X 1/2", two large pieces of tissue paper filling the box. So small, honestly I don't know what you could use it for, maybe a pendant or charm. I was disappointed and took it back to the store on 12/21/12 with my receipt. I was told it could not be returned as it was a "seasonal item". I did not recall a sign, and they certainly didn't tell me the item was a final sale when I bought it. I needed a couple cards and a little gift for my niece, but so annoyed I left the store without purchasing the items. I went right across the street and bought a Hallmark card and the gift at Kohl's, at least there I can return an item if I am not satisfied, plus I got 30% off with my coupon. Sorry to say I will not be a customer at Hallmark stores ever again over $7.95!! read more
