Collins Square is a strip shopping center on Virginia Beach Boulevard east of Town Center. It's…read morelocated across the street from the Meyera E. Oberndorf Central Library. The shopping center itself is a bit dated. Its tenants have changed over the years with the anchor store no longer the high foot traffic generating Farm Fresh. That space is now occupied by a Planet Fitness. An out parcel space once occupied by Boston Market has received a nice new renovation in the form of Habit Burger & Grill. That spot is a great addition and is what brought me back to Collins Square after many years. Also occupying the strip are stores including the UPS Store, Game Stop, Fleet Feet, Tropical Smoothie, Seafood Kitchen, Virginia Beach City Treasurer, nail salons, tax preparation, and various other stores. There is plentiful parking for the type of businesses housed in Collins Square. I'll certainly return for Habit Burgers but not for any of the other establishments.

You can find restaurants here, jewelry, home goods, foods, plants, electric bikes, furniture, gifts, Hallmark... it's home to some great locally owned shops that I frequent pretty often as well as an ice cream shop, Starbucks, and Ethan Allen and Fresh Market. It's an absolutely huge shopping center that has multiple entrances and exits so you can easily get in an out. Note: I do recommend you only enter and exit with traffic lights as the access roads for Laskin are notoriously confusing and frustrating to deal with. I'll be glad when they're gone... perhaps in the next 15-20 years? Ha. Still, worth the visit.

Best entry point is Laskin where their are two entrances. The furthest East is less congested. I've always found plenty of parking and the lot is impeccably clean. Lighting is great at night. Access to the businesses is great from the surface lot. So some of my favorite businesses located in Hilltop East are The Butcher's Son (previously Fire & Vine), Bottlecraft, Taste, YMCA, Great Outdoor Provision Co. and Birkenstock store. There are many more to check out. The Hilltop area is an upper-scale strip that is in a beautiful area of Virgina Beach only three miles from the oceanfront. I will continue to shop and eat at establishments in the area and recommend.

I've got pharmacy items at RiteAid which has now closed and ice cream from Blue Cow. The center is dated, maybe 1970's. However, it's well maintained and clean. The entry points are Great Neck and Shore. It can be challenging exiting on Shore if making a left toward the Lesner Bridge. I will continue to use the Cape Henry Plaza.

Blue Cow Ice Cream, Rite Aid and Food Lion are among the plethora of different types of shops and eateries. All I have regularly frequented are high quality with excellent service. Others, such as Rite Aid & Food Lion provide offerings not otherwise found in this part of the Shore Drive corridor, making the shopping plaza a valuable resource for the area. The center occupies the southeast corner of the intersection of Great Neck Road & Shore Drive, directly across Shore Drive from the Delta Hotel. The entrance & exits are a bit tricky, depending on the direction one is approaching from. The traffic on Shore Drive & the lack of curb cuts on Great Neck make the entrance & exit choices something learned over time. Coming from the west on Shore Drive entrance should be from Shore Drive, after one passes through the intersection's traffic light. But exiting, if one is headed west, should be by Great Neck Road which has the advantage of a traffic light with turn lanes. The shopping center is clean, well kept & well lit, More handicapped parking spaces are needed, especially in the spaces closest to the always busy Hot Tuna. Who could ask for a better spot than close proximity to the doctor/hospital corridor of First Colonial and the Laskin Road shopping corridor. The only negative to the location is the traffic congestion at certain times of day and the crazy Laskin feeder roads, which should eventually become a thing of the past. Anchoring the marketplace, in the space previously occupied by a major office supply store, is Total Wine. The store is literally a wine and beer superstore. Be prepared to be overwhelmed upon stepping in for the first time. The out parcels consist of a litany of fast food restaurants that can quickly curb your hunger after a longer than expected expected doctor appointment. I mourn the loss of Schlotszky's, which had been my favorite. My replacement fast food favorite at the marketplace is Chick-fil-A. You'll also find others. Panera Bread has moved to a stand alone location in the midst of the parking lot, which allowed other stores to move in. The shopping center itself has many other quick and dining in eating establishments, including Moe's and Arby's. At the First Colonial Road end is a French Restaurant, which I haven't yet tried. There's a Pet Store, PetValue that I don't recognize as having other stores in the area. Find Pure Barre, Pearl Vision, New Balance, Langley's Credit Union, Michael's, LabCorp, FedEx, several boutiques, a cupcake store and much more. From First Colonial the easiest entrance is to turn on Republic Road then into the large parking lot. There is also an entrance from the feeder lane on Laskin Road and an entrance on First Colonial. Marketplace at Hilltop is a very well placed and useful shopping choice.

The shopping center was developed in the mid 90's and completion occurred in 1997. The strip with out lying businesses on the corner of Laskin and First Colonial is quite expansive. Parking is plentiful and the lot has newer blacktop and striping. Debris is typically scarce as the leasing agent Venture does a fantastic job. Landscape is high quality and maintained weekly. The Laskin side recently had construction and new grass is being seeded. Signage is on both Laskin, which is considered the main entrance and Republic. There are dozens of businesses with anchors Total Wine and Michaels are the largest. Panera, Langley FCU and Le Yaca are also large square footage wise. Perimeter anchors off the road are Sun Trust Bank on the corner, Chick Fil A and Chipotle. A former Jason's Deli has been vacant for months and awaits a new tenant. The stores I like and frequent the most are Total Wine, Chick Fil A and Le Yaca. Panera can now be included with a new store and drive-thru service. A very popular store that I've never been in is Orange Theory. I constantly see foot traffic in and out. Also Moe's Southwest Grill is busy. I can't hide my excitement for this well maintained shopping center. It has stores I love and a location that's just minutes from the Oceanfront. I will continue to enjoy shopping and eating at Hilltop Marketplace businesses.

I had the opportunity to visit just a few times ever. Once was Burger, Breaks & Shakes was there...it's gone with a lot of others. The main anchors would be considered Goodwill, Rainbow and Value City. Another store at the end with a lot of square feet has been a close out store for years. I think it was a Steinmart at one time. Sports Authority went out of business months ago. There is a smaller strip that runs parallel that has Philip Michael for Men, Tropical Smoothie and a few others. I visited the men's store Phillip Michael today. Overall a sad strip with many vacant stores that has little business. Retail as a whole is hurting and this is a prime example.

It's a winding, clean, up to date shopping area with a plethora of stores & eateries too numerous to list. Landstown Commons is beautifully landscaped and maintained. The restaurant I visited was in a cute area with a small one way around and back with a greenway & trees in the middle. It was very aesthetically pleasing. The selections of businesses in this area were mixed and varied, leading one to want to revisit & explore. What a change the Dam Neck, General Booth area has experienced in the almost 40 years since we were house hunting following our move from Atlanta. During that time there were almost no housing developments in the area. We looked at one under construction on the east side of General Booth. But there was absolutely no shopping centers or eateries. It felt as if we were in the country, in the midst of fields. Dam Neck & Plaza Trail had not been extended. Nimmo Parkway didn't exist. Who would want to live in an area with no amenities? But who could have envisioned what it would become. Now the area is teaming with shopping, restaurants & housing developments. After my first visit I think Landstown Commons must be the crown jewel of them all. Even though it's a long distance from my house, it will require another exploration visit. It was too near sundown on my first visit to stay. There may be similar areas. I see an exploration trip in my future.

There is a great variety of eateries and stores that satisfies my need to window shop or spend money! The center has 2 entrances - 1 on Princess Anne Rd and 1 on Dam Neck, both with stoplights. The PA entrance can be a little hairy during the lunch hour or busy weekends, but isn't too bothersome. There are always those who don't want to abide by the unspoken rules of the 3-way stop and yield to incoming traffic. There is ample parking if you don't mind not parking directly in front of the store you are going to during busy hours. Several of the stores (Carter's, Ulta, Old Navy) have curbside pick up so you may see vehicles parked on the curb. I really like that I can hit Kohl's and the aforementioned stores on foot easily as they are on opposite sides of the parking lot from each other. Best Buy is also convenient along with several other boutique stores, Phoenix Salon Suites, IT stores, you name it. Most of the eateries (aside from BWW, IHOP, Ynot and Super Ninja) are on a separate roundabout near the Dam Neck entrance. This can get a little crazy at lunch hour too, so I always recommend parking behind the restaurants for easy-in/easy-out. The center is well-maintained and always looks clean. I notice the golf cart occasionally making the morning rounds before 8am to empty bins and pick up stray trash. So long as I'm working nearby, you can find me here on the regular!

I could see this being a spot to go to if I lived in the surrounding neighborhoods. Our purpose today was for the philly pretzel shop! Running a deal for April 15 pretzels for $5. National pretzel day is April 26th and they are giving away free pretzels!

This is a good place to bring out-of-towners for shopping handmade goods in order to have a more authentic souvenir from a visit to the area. I'm not against grabbing a keychain at the airport, but this is for Moore specialized giftgiving and can be a fun place to shop for individuals to find a special birthday present . They routinely have pop-ups with different vendors in kiosks in the middle of the arcade. I would recommend anyone to stop by here in the course of running errands in the downtown area or if you have an occasion to be walking around the Norfolk TCC campus. The vendors are all very accommodating, and this is an accessible shopping experience for most people. If you have accommodation needs, I know that there are also printed menus and assistance for individuals who have mobility concerns.

I definitely want to go to S'more's Amore next time for a key lime s'more. I also saw a leather bracelet at the leather store that looked super cool. They offer classes to learn how to use the cricut and 3d printers at the Maker Space place. I saw a lady conducting a house plant assembly class . Everything was so nice !
