This Walmart is okay. The shelves are not destroyed like some locations, but there is a point where they start their prep for stocking and start putting pallets in the walkway. It is already a small walkway, and sometimes, they make it so you can't walk between the pallets, which gives you a feeling of being trapped. A lot of items are locked up so an associate with a key is needed if you want to purchase any of these items. I went to purchase a $2.00 item and had to track down an associate to unlock it. Several of them said they didn't have keys and would get someone else to help. A half our later, I was still waiting for someone with a key...I left without the purchase. Sadly, this isn't the first time I encountered this problem and left the store without a purchase. It was too much wasted time and aggravation for a $2.00 item. It's unfortunate that theft is obviously a big issue for this store if they feel it necessary to lock up a $2.00 item. Their new "anti-theft" policies make it an uncomfortable place to shop. I will not continue to shop at Walmart as long as these ridiculous policies continue. From now on, I'll shop elsewhere. It's worth paying a little more to save time and avoid the aggravation. Walmart has really gone down for me. Prices are cheaper elsewhere, quality is better, and more convenient. It's cheaper to shop at Target or Amazon for better quality items. The fact that there's no Apple Pay makes it inconvenient many times and the workers never look happy to be there and the company treats them badly. It's a condensed Walmart. There isn't much here...especially if you need groceries. Their grocery section is half of the size of Fry's and Safeway. They're actually more expensive than Fry's too. Also- I tried to look for shampoo and conditioner but didn't see it. Maybe it was on the back wall somewhere? A few things, in the pet aisle, were a decent price but that's about it. I can only speak on my own personal experience. Having that said... I was in the middle of an emergency during the gem show this year and had to get to Walmart before they closed. I made it with 2 minutes to spare but the doors were locked. I knocked on the door and they let me in to grab my one item and cash out and leave. They could have just said no but they didn't. You know what's great about this location the parking lot that is basically pure gravel with only a hint of asphalt left holding together the aggregate. If you leave the store with items in a bag in your cart they will most assuredly shake out and fall out and it's small enough we'll probably fall to the cart because no one's bothered to repave this parking lot since the store open. Ive heard her yell at multiple associates in front of us customers and in my opinion that is very unprofessional. My go to store because of the convenience. Employees are the same no matter where you shop these days. So if you can't find an item good luck finding an employee. It seems like employee courtesy has disappeared from brick and mortar stores and has gone to dot.com and online commerce. But good news! We used to shop at Frys for groceries but because their commercials are so woke and sickening, and most of all ..their mask policy during covid (thats right, we'll never forget what you did Fry's) we changed to Walmart and Safeway. I have been using this walmart for over Four years ! I got a prescription of Omni Pod g6 , to make a long story short I had the prescription transferred to another Walmart! This Walmart on Houghton Road, transferred the prescription they did it incorrectly. I did not know there were many different kinds of Omni pods. Needless to say I got the the prescription transferred and they wrote up the prescription incorrect and I did not know it. I have been getting the wrong Omnipod for a few months. Nobody wants to give me my money back either for the Omni pods so I have Omni pods that do not work which I think it's a pretty piss poor situation that nobody wants to take the heat on someone made a mistake thank God. I went in last night for super Friday and had the worst customer service.I have ever received in a store. The store was quite packed in the back and the registers were completely empty. They had the entire store roped off and you had to walk through certain pathways. However, I am disabled and I have a large service dog a St. Bernard. I had to walk around the store several times which was completely fine. However, I had customers and staff constantly petting my service dog or stepping on him and it was becoming difficult for me to get around. I was standing near the garden center and it was clear that there was no lines for the registers. However, it was completely roped off and I would've had to walk back through the madness to get to the registers even though there wasn't a line. I ask a staff member if I could cross and I'll she was personally blocking. She refused and told me I had to walk through the store, I explained to her the issues and she agreed there was no line but she said that she wasn't letting me through. It was a complete mess making it through the store. I wasn't asking to skip any waiting lines. I was just asking that associate to make a simple accommodation for a disabled consumer that was having difficulties navigating the crazy isles they set up. I called the store today to speak to a manager and let them know my concerns and she act like it was completely a nuisance call. Further, one of the items I bought was a large nutcracker and whenever it was open and it was cracked. I ask them to set the one in stock they had left aside for me, to exchange and she refused. I ask her to have the store manager return my call and I haven't heard nothing back from the store. I waited hours to get this nutcracker and she said it likely wouldn't be in stock but they would refund it. However, they wouldn't replace it because they would likely be out. We asked an employee in the baby section if they had kids cough drops. She said she could show us where "they lived" and walked us to the pharmacy area (they were out). She looked in our cart and asked if we had given the kids suckers that were in our cart to our kids (they're the kids suckers in the toothpaste section). My husband responded and said yes and she said "mmm ok then" and he said "at least they're sugar free, right?" And laughed since it was so awkward and she just said sure... so weird. I had a problem with an expensive electronic that died literally 2 weeks past their 90 day warranty. Dealing with the manufacturer was a nightmare. Jessi assisted us in getting an exchange and Rebecca at the service desk also did her best by even suggesting other models. I know how hard retail can be with covid and misc constant issues. They don't carry what you need, the employees are rude and then they demand to see your receipt when you are walking out the door which makes me feel violated and like an assumed thief. This store is fairly clean and decently laid out, it is a super center so there's a grocery section. The store also contains a pharmacy and a self checkout. I've never had an issue with any of their employees and the prices are fair. My mother(who works at a different Wal mart) loves the "country" colors on the outside of the building. read more

This is your typical Walmart, but just a little smaller. It has a grocery store and pharmacy. They appear to have all the regular departments as one of the larger stores, but just scaled back. So you will not get as much of a selection, but you will still find every thing you need. read more

The liquor has to be locked up behind the cigarette counter which sends off some red flags to me. It is not very clean either. Some of the staff are friendly while others don't talk very much. This Walmart is getting bad. The last three times I have been in there they have no cashiers. Yesterday the only check out open was the 20 items and less lane. There were 12 people in line. Another customer asked an employee about calling for help. The employee (Catty. Older woman with gray hair) said when I am done with what I am doing I will go over there. She threw down whatever she was holding and went to a check out lane. Where she continued to be very rude. While I was waiting two employees walked out a back room laughing. The cashiers are very nice, as is much of the staff, and the store is very clean. I love it that they are selling a lot of American made products. I would have given five stars except that management has a lot to be desired in their treatment of customers and this fact has lowered the score, and I was tempted to lower it more on behalf of their rude behavior. They need to be a lot kinder. The management at this store is almost silly at how ridiculously rude they are. Power walking and seeming like they think they are big stuff, talking down to customers as if they are so much lower than they. They need to remember that, after all, they are only managers at a Walmart after all. Not so big a deal. It would be good if they were treated to a class or two on customer service. They are almost laughable at the power they try to strut against the 'pee-on' customers. The problem in management is at this particular store. Hopefully upper management at the corporate level will look into this matter. There are other Walmarts within six or seven miles who have professional management teams that treat their customers as customers should be treated, with respect. The cashiers and most of the staff, the facility itself earned 5 stars. Management attitude deserves far less. read more
