The employees at this location work their bums off! The store is always clean and I've never had a better experience in a Walmart. The produce section and bakery are nicer than most of the other grocery stores in this area. Everyone knows their prices are better than most other places, so that is not a surprise. I've seen some awful customers go off on the employees a few times while in the store, and each time the employee was able to handle the rude person with grace. Customer service is not a fun job, but you'd never know it watching how well these folks deal with the public. I am very happy that we have this Walmart in our community. read more

dana blond acting manager needs to go to training . absolutely needs some training on customer service skills . customer service at this store has gone down . i think im going to start driving farther and go to the one at golf links . when this store first opened everyone was professional and go the extra mile to keep you happy . not anymore !!! read more

The employees working tonight right before closing were absolutely awful. Literally everyone we interacted with was rude (except the guy getting our shopping cart). You should not be ushering us out the door and shaking your heads angrily when you have ten minutes until you are closed. You should also not be locking the front door ten minutes before you close. People can be quick. You never know when someone needs something urgently. Have some grace and learn some customer service!! Luckily this walmart is not the one closest to me because I would not be interested in giving them my money. read more

This Walmart is okay. The shelves are not destroyed like some locations, but there is a point where they start their prep for stocking and start putting pallets in the walkway. It is already a small walkway, and sometimes, they make it so you can't walk between the pallets, which gives you a feeling of being trapped. Also, the workers will do what they can to avoid engaging with customers. The only thing this place has going for it is not being ghetto. read more

I recently bought a can of creamed corn. Got it home before I noticed it was a product of Thailand We grow corn in this country and that is what I want to buy. Why does Walmart add to world pollution by bringing a product from Thailand? read more

Walmart has really gone down for me. Prices are cheaper elsewhere, quality is better, and more convenient. It's cheaper to shop at Target or Amazon for better quality items. The fact that there's no Apple Pay makes it inconvenient many times and the workers never look happy to be there and the company treats them badly. The inside of any of the stores isn't that clean either. #downhill #getrealorgetdumped read more

A lot of items are locked up so an associate with a key is needed if you want to purchase any of these items. I went to purchase a $2.00 item and had to track down an associate to unlock it. Several of them said they didn't have keys and would get someone else to help. A half our later, I was still waiting for someone with a key...I left without the purchase. Sadly, this isn't the first time I encountered this problem and left the store without a purchase. It was too much wasted time and aggravation for a $2.00 item. It's unfortunate that theft is obviously a big issue for this store if they feel it necessary to lock up a $2.00 item. Their new "anti-theft" policies make it an uncomfortable place to shop. I will not continue to shop at Walmart as long as these ridiculous policies continue. From now on, I'll shop elsewhere. It's worth paying a little more to save time and avoid the aggravation. I'm very, very disappointed with Walmart. It used to be my favorite store, but now they make me feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. It's just sad. read more

It's a condensed Walmart. There isn't much here...especially if you need groceries. Their grocery section is half of the size of Fry's and Safeway. They're actually more expensive than Fry's too. Also- I tried to look for shampoo and conditioner but didn't see it. Maybe it was on the back wall somewhere? A few things, in the pet aisle, were a decent price but that's about it. Price gouging, bc of the location, explains this place. read more

I can only speak on my own personal experience. Having that said... I was in the middle of an emergency during the gem show this year and had to get to Walmart before they closed. I made it with 2 minutes to spare but the doors were locked. I knocked on the door and they let me in to grab my one item and cash out and leave. They could have just said no but they didn't. I don't think they were too happy about my last minute arrival nonetheless they DID let me in and for saving my A55 they get 5 stars. Thanks for helping me when I needed it. read more

You know what's great about this location the parking lot that is basically pure gravel with only a hint of asphalt left holding together the aggregate. If you leave the store with items in a bag in your cart they will most assuredly shake out and fall out and it's small enough we'll probably fall to the cart because no one's bothered to repave this parking lot since the store open. It's obvious that the store hasn't even bothered to chip seal or sealcoat to rejuvenate the asphalt read more

The maintenance manager, Fred is very nice and helpful. But the white lady with short blonde hair is very rude. Ive heard her yell at multiple associates in front of us customers and in my opinion that is very unprofessional. The store is very clean, bathrooms are nice probably the nicest store in Tucson. 1 star for the rude girl in the morning who looks like Roz from monsters Inc... 5 stars for the friendly night crew who I pass always with smiling faces and make me feel welcomed! read more

My go to store because of the convenience. Employees are the same no matter where you shop these days. So if you can't find an item good luck finding an employee. It seems like employee courtesy has disappeared from brick and mortar stores and has gone to dot.com and online commerce. But good news! We used to shop at Frys for groceries but because their commercials are so woke and sickening, and most of all ..their mask policy during covid (thats right, we'll never forget what you did Fry's) we changed to Walmart and Safeway. I noticed Walmart carries firearm ammunition again! 2 thumbs up for that. Again, most employees these days (anywhere) could use a class in social interacting but its still our store and we like it. read more

I have been using this walmart for over Four years ! I got a prescription of Omni Pod g6 , to make a long story short I had the prescription transferred to another Walmart! This Walmart on Houghton Road, transferred the prescription they did it incorrectly. I did not know there were many different kinds of Omni pods. Needless to say I got the the prescription transferred and they wrote up the prescription incorrect and I did not know it. I have been getting the wrong Omnipod for a few months. Nobody wants to give me my money back either for the Omni pods so I have Omni pods that do not work which I think it's a pretty piss poor situation that nobody wants to take the heat on someone made a mistake thank God. It wasn't a prescription that I swallowed my stomach ! So needless to say, no one wants to take the blame on a messed up script ! read more

We asked an employee in the baby section if they had kids cough drops. She said she could show us where "they lived" and walked us to the pharmacy area (they were out). She looked in our cart and asked if we had given the kids suckers that were in our cart to our kids (they're the kids suckers in the toothpaste section). My husband responded and said yes and she said "mmm ok then" and he said "at least they're sugar free, right?" And laughed since it was so awkward and she just said sure... so weird. Super unprofessional and uncomfortable. read more

I went in last night for super Friday and had the worst customer service.I have ever received in a store. The store was quite packed in the back and the registers were completely empty. They had the entire store roped off and you had to walk through certain pathways. However, I am disabled and I have a large service dog a St. Bernard. I had to walk around the store several times which was completely fine. However, I had customers and staff constantly petting my service dog or stepping on him and it was becoming difficult for me to get around. I was standing near the garden center and it was clear that there was no lines for the registers. However, it was completely roped off and I would've had to walk back through the madness to get to the registers even though there wasn't a line. I ask a staff member if I could cross and I'll she was personally blocking. She refused and told me I had to walk through the store, I explained to her the issues and she agreed there was no line but she said that she wasn't letting me through. It was a complete mess making it through the store. I wasn't asking to skip any waiting lines. I was just asking that associate to make a simple accommodation for a disabled consumer that was having difficulties navigating the crazy isles they set up. I called the store today to speak to a manager and let them know my concerns and she act like it was completely a nuisance call. Further, one of the items I bought was a large nutcracker and whenever it was open and it was cracked. I ask them to set the one in stock they had left aside for me, to exchange and she refused. I ask her to have the store manager return my call and I haven't heard nothing back from the store. I waited hours to get this nutcracker and she said it likely wouldn't be in stock but they would refund it. However, they wouldn't replace it because they would likely be out. It was completely disgusting behavior last night and the call today. Let's see if they call me back read more

I had a problem with an expensive electronic that died literally 2 weeks past their 90 day warranty. Dealing with the manufacturer was a nightmare. Jessi assisted us in getting an exchange and Rebecca at the service desk also did her best by even suggesting other models. I know how hard retail can be with covid and misc constant issues. It's great to have people that are willing to help you even if they really didn't have to. read more

They don't carry what you need, the employees are rude and then they demand to see your receipt when you are walking out the door which makes me feel violated and like an assumed thief. Trying to be full of grace during this time, but the pharmacy here has been so difficult to deal with. Prescriptions not filled when promised. Looking at the previous reviews and you get an overwhelming feeling that somehow the reviewers had never been to a Walmart in their entire lives! Lines are slow? Yes, just like anywhere else you go. I will say this though, I shop here almost weekly and they might not always have what I am looking for, but I have never encountered any staff at this store that weren't professional, helpful, and friendly. read more

Could they get real counters instead of all of these self checkouts? Are they going to pay me to scan my own goods? The lines are always long. Also they put the gift cards after the registers after you would pay so you can't find them also the gift card selection is extremely limited it's better at Frys down Houghton. read more

This store is fairly clean and decently laid out, it is a super center so there's a grocery section. The store also contains a pharmacy and a self checkout. I've never had an issue with any of their employees and the prices are fair. My mother(who works at a different Wal mart) loves the "country" colors on the outside of the building. read more

Good Walmart that is close to home. It a small one so it won't have everything but just to get something quick. Employees are so nice and eager to help. Benjamin, the employee that helped me, was so nice and helpful. He didn't leave my side till he found what i was looking for. Sadly, it wasn't there and he politely apologized for not having it in stock even though it wasn't his fault. So far no bad experiences there. read more

It's really sad that the Walmart stores now have only 4 employee checkouts, and all the rest are self checkouts. Why bother to say your going to increase your employees salaries, when you reduce the employee staff and make customers check themselves out? It's getting ridiculous. read more

This is your typical Walmart, but just a little smaller. It has a grocery store and pharmacy. They appear to have all the regular departments as one of the larger stores, but just scaled back. So you will not get as much of a selection, but you will still find every thing you need. read more

This store is alright. I moved to the Tucson/Vail/Corona de Tucson area recently from New Mexico and this Walmart did not really impress me. The liquor has to be locked up behind the cigarette counter which sends off some red flags to me. It is not very clean either. Some of the staff are friendly while others don't talk very much. Overall it's an okay place. The other Walmart on Houghton is much better. read more

We find most of employees kind and helpful, but one employee in particular, Samantha has the personality of a dead fish. I wouldn't normally write this review, but on more than one occasion she has said no more than the total of my groceries and has been nasty about it too. read more

I must say, this new Walmart is fantastic ! So far they have absolutely everything I wanted ..... Beer !

The selection is not that great. This may be a "super Walmart" but it is not a true super Walmart and doesn't have as much of a selection as other Walmarts. I'm not sure why- it seems like they should have a much bigger one here (it's not like we are short on space out here in Vail!) read more

This Walmart is getting bad. The last three times I have been in there they have no cashiers. Yesterday the only check out open was the 20 items and less lane. There were 12 people in line. Another customer asked an employee about calling for help. The employee (Catty. Older woman with gray hair) said when I am done with what I am doing I will go over there. She threw down whatever she was holding and went to a check out lane. Where she continued to be very rude. While I was waiting two employees walked out a back room laughing. They opened two more lanes. The service here is the awful. What is the store manager doing about this and all the bad reviews. read more

The cashiers are very nice, as is much of the staff, and the store is very clean. I love it that they are selling a lot of American made products. I would have given five stars except that management has a lot to be desired in their treatment of customers and this fact has lowered the score, and I was tempted to lower it more on behalf of their rude behavior. They need to be a lot kinder. The management at this store is almost silly at how ridiculously rude they are. Power walking and seeming like they think they are big stuff, talking down to customers as if they are so much lower than they. They need to remember that, after all, they are only managers at a Walmart after all. Not so big a deal. It would be good if they were treated to a class or two on customer service. They are almost laughable at the power they try to strut against the 'pee-on' customers. The problem in management is at this particular store. Hopefully upper management at the corporate level will look into this matter. There are other Walmarts within six or seven miles who have professional management teams that treat their customers as customers should be treated, with respect. The cashiers and most of the staff, the facility itself earned 5 stars. Management attitude deserves far less. read more
