Update: I had to get a second photo id for base access. Now I can use the commissary and base exchange. It is a full service super market And the other is like a small Mall. 2 different buildings. Appliances, beds, fitness, kitchen. Clothing , optical. Barber and hair salon. Weapons, & fuel. You could live on base and never leave. Over 50 years since I have been in an exchange. Stayed at campground here for several weeks. Very busy cg with few vacancies. Big section with power was closed off so many had to go wo power resulting in a LOT of generator noise. Why they chose snowbird season to close it down to upgrade power is beyond me. Never saw anyone working on the sites however. Would be nice to get some communication for visitors. Most sites had big rvs. Many were here for a very long time and they have a policy that allows that. Active duty gets priority over waitlist but most long terms I saw were not active duty. Traffic nearby outside of base can also get noisy with loud vehicles. I did hear someone complain about noise inside the base, called security and they said they couldn't do anything w/o catching them in the act. Base security was never seen by me. Maintenace folks ride around in gold carts and were visible. Sites are close but pretty normal. Bathrooms, showers, laundry clean. Laundry prices raised due to expenses incurred by patrons washing dog blankets with lots of hair reportedly. Office staff were Ok. Recommend and would stay here again. read more

Very clean market. Lots of well stocked shelves. Small deli and bakery section. The basic food choices you would expect. There was sushi, however I didn't try it. Wish there were some more fresh options, like pre-made meals and salads. Easy to check out and needed to scan my ID beforehand. Lots and lots of parking! read more

So... this is the weirdest set up I have seen. It has random hotdogs in the front near the fresh fruit. I saw a cooler in the back with dairy around a corner by the bacon. Just weird.. maybe I will get use to it in time. The produce is small variety and not the best selection for freshness. Tomatos and watermelon way over priced. The selection for meat was very scarce an employee saw me looking at the meat and said if I wanted anything I could go ask. I just wish they would have it stocked. She said maybe it was morning rush. The pricing was somewhat comparable to other stores. Nice selection for household staples and some ethnic items. The gentleman at the deli was super helpful and friendly. I hope next time.. it is better. I will update next visit. read more

This review is about the Commissary leadership, specifically Kyle Roland, and his treatment of my mother, who he fired as a Commissary bagger for reporting a hostile work environment. My mother used to work at the Commissary for the past 35 years as a bagger. Off and on, since 2005, she has made complaints of discrimination, sexual harassment, and hostile work environment to the Head Bagger and to Commissary leadership. Not once was anyone suspended or terminated except my mother. Her last complaint was made in September 2024 about the Head Bagger Morgan and the Assistant Head Bagger Jade harassing her. In fact, Jade almost hit my mother in the face with her written complaint. I spoke with Kyle on the phone, who agreed that Jade created a hostile work environment, but nothing happened. Less than 3 weeks later, Jade again verbally accosted my mother which resulted in my mother crying in the Bagger area by the cashiers. Kyle suspended my mother pending an investigation that resulted in the revocation of her bagger license. We don't know why my mother would be terminated for crying at work under the pressure of a hostile work environment created by both Morgan and Jade. Kyle won't respond to our inquiries, and both Morgan and Jade continue to work for the Commissary. So, if you go, please don't get your groceries bagged by Morgan or Jade, and if you see Kyle, please ask him to contact me. Thanks! read more

DMAFB commissary is my grocery store of choice. The store is clean and organized well. You'll most likely find products quite easily, but if you don't, an employee will answer your question(s) and/or walk with you to the item you're looking for. The employees are generally kind and helpful. The self checkout has enough self scan stations in order to get customers in and out a heck of a lot faster than you'd be waiting in a Walmart checkout line during peak hours! I have compared prices of specific items to those off base (Safeway, Walmart, Fry's, TJ's) and I'm still surprised of the discount we're able to receive at the commissary. Inflation is terrible, shop at your local commissary! read more

If you're looking for the cheapest deals, do research with local grocery store deals too. By time the "service fee" is added to your bill, you probably could've found it cheaper at Frys or another local grocer. The staff isn't super helpful and it's super annoying to have to not only scan your ID but also have it ready to show staff before you even checkout in set checkout. Super inconvenient especially when shopping with toddlers. read more

I do love coming to the commisary! The things I get here are the easy to make frozen meals, as well as the basics for stuff to bring to work for lunch. All of this stuff for me is way cheaper than any off base store. I will admit that some of the stuff is not as cheap, but if you look around you will see that you can save some serious money. Another reason why I come here is because it is ALWAYS clean. I will give the staff mad props for being able to keep up with such a huge store. Good stuff guys, good stuff!!! read more

I shop here all the time and it's ok, but has horrible customer service. I tried buying an item and because the item wouldn't ring up they wouldn't let me buy it. Probably shouldn't have items on your shelves that you can't sell. I'm really disappointed in them. read more

While the commissary is only for military related individuals, it is great for low prices and great service. I must say that after two years of price comparison with local stores, using coupons, and buying regularly that the commissary has most places beat. That is granting them the fact that some places like Walgreen's and Wall-mart neighborhood markets have occasional sales that make things like milk and eggs more affordable than the commissary. It is made even better by the fact that I do believe they do price matching for advertised prices, and accept all kinds of manufacturers coupons. So while you may not be able to double up on coupons from the store as well as manufacturers coupons, you don't need to because their regular prices are already better than any store around. The only draw back I can find to comment about is that sometimes on payday the wait to get food can be very long, and the nee to tip the baggers, can sometimes be a little bothersome, but I would say that if you are saving 10-20% then it is not a big deal to give a bagger who will bag all your food and take it out to your car 5-10 bucks. So this place recieves a 5 from me because it is exactly what the military family needs to be healthy, and affordable when it comes to making food. read more

Its a good place for military and their family to get their groceries, but sometimes their prices can be little stiff compared to other stores. Checkouts are organized that you get there in and out in no time. There are times when produce and meats are sometimes lacking so you couldn't get the things you needed. This Commisary is well organized, a lot bigger than what we had at our previous base, and has almost all the Asian ingredients that I need to prepare meals. Their staff is really friendly and knowledgable especially when you're looking for an item. They also have a bakery/deli section and did I mention the sushi counter? Yup! My only gripe is that they do hike up some of their prices on the 1st and 15th. Also, don't forget to tip your bagger! :) read more

I love the commissary, grew up in a military family and it's a staple of any military member. The prices are great, but I've noticed that every year, the off base stores are becoming more and more comparable and in most instances, they destroy the prices. I wish the commissary would get with the times and invoke a club card and get online to send out messages about deals and provide virtual coupons that you can carry in your phone. The case lot sales are good but beware the crowd....ugh....the retirees swarm that place like a slow moving zombie horde on case lot and payday. You've been warned. read more

This place is good but the produce here sucks! Do not buy your produce from here. It is not fresh. Everything else is pretty good and sometimes you have those items that are a little overpriced but overall it's a pretty good store. I come here for majority of my groceries needed. read more

This 5 stars mainly applies to the deli. They have foot-long sub sandwiches you can get with 2 meats and your choice of veggies for under 8 bucks. They advertise 12" but in reality it's much bigger, so to speak. Enough for 2 meals, actually. read more
