Pan de mantequilla. Pan dulce - A close-up of a slice of butter bread with a soft, pale interior and a brown crust, wrapped in clear plastic.

I found it! The only pan dulce I crave. The butter cream was definitely not skimpy, there was more than enough to the point that you can cut half of it and spread it on the opposite side if you wanted. The other location that had it was Cardinas, but yelp reports that it is closed. Upon entry from the east side, walk straight ahead and you will find it. Their sale was 5 for $4. Thankfully, they had a less than 10 Item lane where I was able to easily and quickly check out. It's a rough area with many rough looking people outside. It was very busy inside. We were asked for spare change when we walked to our car. We were in and out in about 5 minutes. The parking is also wild because there are many shops on the side of their exterior building. There is a no guns allowed sign. Be safe!

Reasonable prices, a good bakery, fresh herbs, and choices of good produce is what keeps me going there. They have an excellent meat and seafood counter but there is always a long wait; depending on how much time you have, it may or may not be worth it. The bakery has some delicious cakes. Parking is a little challenging at times and the neighborhood a little sketch. I personally would not go later in the day.

Small part of meat selection.

Always enjoy shopping here. Super extensive fresh meat selection. Nice fresh shrimp selection and some other seafood. They carry a lot of products. Friendly staff that looks after you!

Looks like another big company fucking over the employees. There were at least 15 people in line for their fresh meat section and only two people behind the counter. I see six workstations but only two people. The produce section was perfect and all the shelves seemed organised so I'll come back but if I need anything I will have to make sure to get the number for the meat counter before I look for anything else because it's moving so slowly

Great market with great prices. The meat section is especially nice, and they have a nice selection of Mexican pastries.

Great produce, seafood and meat! Avoid household products and US brands, but any products made in Mexico are reasonably priced!

We had a question about a coupon and how the store ad was a new week but the digital coupon was still in the new ad. So this coupon ran two consecutive ads, but you could only use it once. Which is not explained anywhere in the ad or with the coupon. That right there is misleading to the fact there should never be a coupon ran in two consecutive ads but only be able to use once. This Julie never took it upon herself to listen to a customer first but kept interrupting. So the actual store manager came over and explained about the coupon which is fine. Fry's is in the wrong for having a coupon like that. When I looked back over to that front end manager that was helping us checkout she was talking to another store associate about what happened and they were laughing at the situation. I use to work for fry's as well. All I can say fry's has gone down hill as far as customer service and how you treat a customer. I would hate to work for this place now. Even being timed on how fast you checkout a customer takes all away from customer engagement. Is that why cashiers and managers for fry's are not friendly due to being on a time limit per customer? That to me means they don't care anymore it's just how many sales they get. I've noticed that a lot of people I know who have worked for fry's say the same thing too much bullshit for their pay to have to put up with. So they have found other employment. Truly not the same store it's all about the sales and NOT CUSTOMER SERVICE ANYMORE!!!!! Just know the response from fry's will be ridiculously the same as everyone else's review. Sorry to hear this and hope we can still see you in our stores some stupid response like this.

I was criss-crossing the state on a long camping trip, and this…read morehappened to be where we were in town, and we jumped off the road and into the parking lot, and went in to look for supplies. We had limited cooking materials, but did have a cooler and a stove, so we knew we could make something tasty but simple. A quick appetite check, and we ended up settling on fajitas. We grabbed an onion, a couple of peppers, some spices, some pre-cut fajita steak, and the largest soft flour tortillas known to man. Massive. Bigger than your head. Bigger than a dinner plate. Massive. Of course we also grabbed chips (chips are life) and a small assortment of Jarritos because what are fajitas without chips and Jarritos? NOTHING. So the accoutrements came too. A little ice and we were all set. Ready for camping trip magic. And magic it was. It's beyond the scope of Food City, but everything came together beautifully despite the fact that I definitely forgot to buy camping fuel, so we had to ditch the large camp stove in favor of the small backpacking stove. But I did learn that you can indeed cook with a massive frying pan on top of a tiny, 3.5-ounce backpacking stove. I thought the produce section was fine. Not the most impressive stuff, but enough things in decent enough shape that fajitas were possible. The meat was okay, decently priced and I'm glad they have the pre-sliced option (because somebody -- me -- also forgot the knife) and the quality was fine. Overall it's not the tidiest store but it had lots of unexpected treasures from Mexico and Latin America. And that made for a great dinner of fajitas, eaten from a giant frying pan off of a tiny stove, wrapped into massive tortillas while watching one of the great sunsets of my life in a national monument later in the trip.
