This Fry's location is my favorite because they are very clean, up to date on new products, and the staff is very friendly. Parking is great too. The only thing I don't like is that some carts don't work and I wish they had more of the smaller carts for smaller grocery runs. read more

This store is a mess and poorly run. There are not enough shopping carts and often I have to go in the parking lot to find a cart. Half of the carts are broken and wheels are stuck. They decided to reorganize all the shelves this past week and couldn't find half of the items. The lines are long and usually there are no baggers. I end up bagging my items. I was so frustrated on my last trip that I have decided to drive farther to another Frys because of this experience. The store employees are not the problem it is clearly poor management as each time I go in the store there are different people, high turn over. I have been going to Frys for the past twenty years and enjoy the store but will not be going to this store. If you want a clear well organized pleasant experience I suggest you find a different store. read more

My husband and I rented a Rug Doctor vacuum cleaner at the Fry's on Valencia a year ago. The vacuum cleaner did not work and we had to take it back. We did the same thing this year and the vacuum cleaner we rented did not work either. I gave two stars because the person who helped us on this second visit was courteous. This store has fallen apart. There are not enough carts and the customers have to go an d find their own carts. One time I saw a manager and pointed out that there were several carts, some within out view, that were being uses as storage by the store personnel. This is still an issue. The self checkout is also undermanned and heaven forbid you have an issue there. My last visit, the self serve attendant was struggling with several customers stuck there waiting for help. The attendant was overwhelmed, when I saw the manager (man) making purchase next to me, I mentioned that she needed help, he ignored me, like no acknowledgement of my comment, when he was done, he asked her if she was ok, she said she was, of course. That was it, he was gone and we sat there. Manager is a great job except for those customers, right? Anyway, I did the math and I can shop at Albertsons and Safeway with little inconvenience. read more

This Fry's is beautiful. It's huge and so clean every time I've gone. Going to this location is definitely a treat and Frys should be so happy with their employees for this hard work. I've really enjoyed boba drinks for many years now and I finally invested in getting the ingredients at home to make it more cost effective even just for the tea. Everything came in but the tapioca pearls I ordered was delayed. So I looked online at Walmart, Frys, Safeway and so on for tapioca flour. Out of all the locations of stores (assuming Sprouts and Whole-Foods has this powder they're just sooo far) this place had it. They didn't even have 1 box of this stuff sitting, they had two boxes side by side filled to the back. It was about $4 and let me tell you I am so excited to try homemade tapioca pearls. So if you're ever in a dilemma like myself you definitely should check this locations out. The staff was really friendly and they have such an assortment of foods behind the counter. I like other Frys that usually have chicken and sushi. This place had hot meatloaf, specialty sides and much more! It almost feels like you're walking into a Boston Market. This place is a paradise. At more than 102,000 square feet, this spanking new Fry's location in Midvale Park reminds me of the Fry's location down south in Sahuarita, which is one of my favorite locations. The first thing you see when you walk in is this gorgeous produce section with lots of fruits and vegetables that are impossible to find on the south and southwest side of town, including lemongrass, daikon, white asparagus and rutabaga. There is even a little stand with fruits for children. The instant I walked in, I was impressed. I also love this location because it has a gas station, a Starbucks inside, an amazing cheese and meat section (with brie and blue cheese), a tremendous wine and liquor section, a sushi bar (with a "sushi burrito), Chinese food, a salad bar, made-to-order sandwiches, soups, and a pharmacy. There is also both indoor and outdoor seating. Perfect place for a lunch for the traveler, or a grab and go lunch for us working adults. The seafood and meat options are tremendous! Lots of seafood offerings, including mahi mahi, ahi tuna, salmon and swordfish. Impressive show. Huge roasts and steaks as well. There is also a pet section where you can buy dog and cat food, bowls and beds, even crates for your pup and feline companions. read more

I placed an order for pickup this morning between 7 and 8. Got to the store a few minutes before 8, called the number on the sign and gave them my info (name and phone number). They said they did not have my order, even though the app said it was ready and waiting. I called the store manager and told her I wanted my order delivered at no charge. She said she did not have the authority, but the person who could authorize this would call me shortly. An hour later, I am still waiting. If I get my order, I will revise this review. After spending an hour on the phone with customer service ( 20 minutes on hold before I got to talk to someone) then being offered a $10 coupon for my next order, but they would not waive the delivery fee on this order. I told them to cancel my order and would advise others to stay clear of this store. read more

I came to this location for my sister because they are having a sale. I was having issues with downloading some coupons I needed. I dreaded going to the Customer Service desk but as soon as I got in line, there was only one person ahead of me. Sabrina was the associate to help me out. We tried to trouble shoot what might be causing the issue and it was her quick thinking (I was using the Kroger site not the Fry's site) that got me on the right track. Someone else got in line behind me while we were trying to figure it out and she smiled at him. She also got a phone call in the mix and was floored how graceful she was with it all. What a great store to finally have in this area. This store carries as many items as the Fry's Marketplace and has a gas station. It's quite large inside and has mostly everything one needs. The one thing I've noticed though is there is such a high volume of shoppers, that a lot of items I've wanted are regularly out of stock. Produce department is great because of the quality of items they have here. The people who work in produce really have a great eye for keeping good quality items on the shelf. There is a Starbucks inside, a separate seating area to eat, hot foods, sushi, salad bar, and bakery. What's nice is there's a self check out right by this area so you can pay, then sit down and eat. There are also bulk bins that carry a wide range of things, but I wish they had more seeds and nuts. It is mostly trail mix, granola, and fruit. Vegans and vegetarians will love this place. I've found all the essentials I need for veganism here. There are more vegetarian aimed items than vegan but it really does have a large selection compared to anything on this side of town. If you haven't been here you should definitely stop by and check it out. It's a wonderful, clean store. read more

The variety of foods on offer at Fry's is outstanding. They even carry "Lao Gan Ma," which is a must-have staple for many Chinese (we couldn't eat without it). They also offer lots of organic produce at very reasonable prices. Hands down, the absolute BEST Fry's in Tucson, Oro Valley, Marana and surrounding areas! The customer service here is refreshingly delightful. For the first time in a loooooonnnnggggg time we felt like valued and appreciated customers. It was wonderful to not feel ignored or like we were a bother to staff. This Fry's was clean, organized and made us excited to shop here! Hats off to management and ALL the great Fry's associates at this location for exceeding the standard of customer service to a new level that should be modeled at EVERY Fry's (Kroger) grocery store everywhere. We visit this location frequently. Sad to say we will NEVER buy from the full service meat counter again! Their food saftey is really bad. The person behind the counter licks their fingers to open the bag to put your meat in it. They do not wash their hands or wear gloves on both hands. I have reported this to the coperate office. This location on Valencia has an extremely RUDE and harassing evening crew. They do not make returns of any products whether bad or unwanted. They also close the doors at 10:45pm instead of at 11pm they state they have signage stating that! They do not anywhere on the front doors of store. The evening crew basically close the store before their stated hours. They are EXTREMELY rude and unavailable on the floors. They hang around in small groups and visit. This IS the only FRY'S in the City of Tucson that does that! Must be the locations surroundings. But will be voicing complaint to their District manager. read more

This review is exclusively about the pharmacy. The store is fabulous, which is why I wanted to get my monthly prescription filled there. My Rx is currently at a Fry's that does not have the full deli (not a Marketplace location). My dr changed my prescription, and called it in to the Valencia location over 2 days ago. I called today and was told they a) did not carry that form of my med, and would not order it. b) I had to wait? because it was too soon, despite it being a new pain medication, and c) they had reached their limit of patients on the form of that medication that they did carry, and would not fill that med at their location for new customers, regardless of the fact that I use their so-called "chain". Oh, did I mention that they had no plans to call and tell me that, so now I'm without my prescription, desperately trying to get ahold of the doctor's office on a Friday? read more

Brand new (as of the end of 2016!) Frys has a dazzling amount of food options I've never seen at their locations. I've yet to fully explore the store, but they have loads of fresh, ready to eat foods at the deli area, a sit-down eatery, fresh-made sushi at this location, and a salad bar! The salad bar has become my favorite, and I stop by for lunch, fill up a container (5.99 a pound) and load up on a lot of great stuff. There's soup and an olive bar too. Clean, awesome, and well designed to get in and out of, with loads more self-checkouts, this is a Fry's to savor. read more

This location is great in that it is new. It has a unique layout that I haven't observed in any other Fry's and it also offers the ClickList, which is super convenient. I feel that this new and improved layout allowed Fry's to add items that are unique to this store because I've looked at other locations and haven't found them (e.g. entire organic section NOT just a row in the produce section). Now on to the ClickList feature, this is great. For a nominal fee (unless it's your first time ordering) you can select your groceries (e.g. fresh produce, middle aisle food, meat, alcohol and even flowers) from the comfort of wherever via any mobile device (e.g. cell phone, laptop, computer, tablet, iPad, etc.), order it and select either same-day pick-up or another day pick-up that is at YOUR convenience. You can even use coupons when picking up your order, which you can't do with other grocery pick-up locations. read more

Normally I don't review grocery stores and pre-pandemic I really liked this Frys. However, I was there Sunday and was disgusted. I usually go to Frys and Safeways in the Marana or on the east side where shopping carts and surfaces are being sanitized, all employees are wearing masks along with the majority of customers and an Albertsons that even had an employee dedicated to keeping people waiting to check out spread apart. But at this Frys on May 31st there were no carts being sanitized, no crowd control around the check outs, most employees were not wearing masks and very few customers were wearing masks. I even watched one woman in the soup aisle wipe her nose with her finger and continue to touch items that she was not placing in her cart. One of the self checkout areas had all terminals turned off which added to the crowded check out area. It appears that the only precaution this store was taking was the addition of those new glass doors to refrigerated area that are normally open. This management appears to not care about the health of it's customers. read more

I made the mistake of going to this Fry's at the beginning of June to grab some groceries on my way south. I've never been so disgusted with a grocery store before. There's a big sign in the lot about how they are limiting the number of people in the store. That's a joke. This place was a zoo and there was no regard to how many people were in the store. There was no carts in the store because apparently there are either not enough employees to pull carts or they cannot be bothered, so I had to go to the lot to find a cart. I get it. I worked in a grocery store but at peak on a Saturday, you hire enough baggers and you send them to get carts. However, what really pushed me over the edge was the bathroom. I couldn't use it because it was being cleaned. Okay. I understand. However, on returning 10 minute later it was disgusting, as in, I do not know what he cleaned. And there was no soap. Seriously? We are in the middle of a pandemic and you can't provide soap. Never again. If all the rest of the Fry's are like this in Tucson, they'll be losing my business. I don't love my Smith's (fellow Kroger affiliate) but at least at my local one the bathroom is decent, there's soap and someone can be bothered to get carts. read more

I used to come here once a month to stock up on Fry's only remaining retail differentiators: cheap organic apples and cat litter. The deli dept needs serious help. They dont use the ticket dispenser. At least a third pf the time they dont get the order correct, select the wrong label. Balls this is a great grocery. I thought the one in Rita Ranch was nice- this one makes it looks like a dump. They have a freaking gourmet cheese counter with exotic cheeses, marcona almonds, fondues, and all sorts of crackers. They have a great booze selection and they even carry all of my favorites that I usually have to go to Total Wine for. I literally screamed in the store causing my husband a panic when I saw they had Vosges Chocolates. They are hands down my most favorite exotic haute chocolateir. Sadly, I think 50 percent of their stock will disappear and not be reordered but I will be there to swoop up all the gourmet items as they close them out. Even in January it is still new and super packed- but oh so worth it. read more
