Can't comment a lot as I rarely shop here. But they do have a rotating lunch special that's $5 & enough food to not feel like half a meal. Also, did think their hot case pricing was cheaper than their competitors. I also appreciate the 'less marketing BS is better' approach that they have. read more

Okay first off this sweet young lady working the cash register named Alexis today was amazingly helpful and sweet and she was working really swiftly. I've never had that before at bashas. Seriously shes so nice and so sweet and I couldn't be any happier with my experience there. Someone's gotta give that hard worker a raise because my god she deserves it. Everytime I come in I'm going to be looking for her. read more

I am at this store quite often and eat at the deli for lunch. The deli food is not fresh much of the time. Sometimes it's as if the cold items are old and have crust on them. The hot items are not much better. The staff is always friendly. The prices are similar to other grocery stores in the area. They do have a Starbucks in store as well. read more

Bashas was recommended to me by a relative. I needed a very few things so I thought I would try it, being new to the area. When checking out the cashier said "I need your phone number!" since I was paying cash I asked her what for? she said so I could get good deals. I said no, I don't want people texting or calling me with deals, and she got huffy with me and punched the change I was due at checkout in my hand. Guess what BASHA, that was the very last time you will see me in any of your stores, I don't need attitude when I want to buy milk and a few fruits. There is no shortage of grocery stores in Tucson. read more

Mt husband and I shop at this Bashas frequently. The staff is always friendly (Jay the manager, John, Barb, N'Gozi to name a few.) They always smile and are helpful finding various products. They get busy at times, but I've never seen or heard them treat customers in any way other than nice. We use the pharmacy there and Judy is always pleasant. We have bought many a lunch or dinner, even a party tray from their Deli, and got great food and good service. We are constant customers at the Starbucks located in the store and have great coffee made by JoAnn, Lorraine or Autumn. Keep up the great job BASHAS store #079 read more

Although we've been coming to this particular store for 10+ years just had one of the worst experiences while checking out. Some blonde I believe a girl who was in self check out was rude when I was tapping on the screen trying to get it to cooperate because it's telling us to put stuff back on the scale and they're telling us to take it off. Tell me not to hit that screen. Todd, if I hit it with a bit of my fist and if you don't want people to be upset with machines that don't work maybe you should open up extra isles. Taking the time to review a grocery store cause Yelp isn't just about food/restaurant reviews. A little pricey but you'll always find amazing service, especially in the deli which has a pizza oven. They were making pizza when I was buying Boars Head meat/cheese. They were excited about making a pizza, and I ALMOST ordered one just because! They have items you'd never expect to find or find anywhere else! I can shop anywhere, but this visit will make me come more often. They do have self checkout, but an actual cashier (multiple) always around! Quiet, clean, helpful staff. YES..YES..AND YES. The cherry on top...BADIA SEASONINGS!! read more

8:45 PM: "we encourage people to use self checkout" with a full basket of produce. When questioned as I was bumbling through produce codes, "yes, I would've checked you out." Meanwhile, there is no light on the attendant lane and she was nowhere to be found when I entered the queue to indicate I had an option. I don't mind doing my own part to keep costs down, but this is literally the most expensive grocery store in the mid-range category. Their premium brand, AJs, offers FAR better service, better products, and they do not expect me to do algebra figuring out produce codes... and the prices aren't terribly off from Bashas. Ensure you always have an attendant available for larger orders so we don't have to guess if a closed lane is actually open, and instruct your attendants to offer checking help for larger orders when they come through. This person was totally aloof and unconcerned. read more

Been shopping here for years and they can remodel all they want, the service here is getting as bad as their prices! I walked out today after I waited a while in the deli waiting to get lunch meat while the guy made a pizza, then I tell him I would like a pound of the Turkey on sale for $11.99/lb! He finally gets to it and hands me over a lb and a half, just under $20. I realize this and I just abandon my cart at that point. Can't find any managers anymore in this joint! Just new clueless cashiers. Bye bye bashas! read more

I was so excited that I found American grown raw Gilroy garlic. I'm glad that my local Bashas carries it. I've been using the jar stuff made in America. Most of the bulb garlic you find in stores are from China. I prefer Gilroy garlic or grown in the USA. Thanks to Julia Child she said we didn't have to be a nation that used only garlic salt and powder. read more

Place is really clean, stocked up and well organized. They have weekly specials and good deals on meats. Everyone is nice and very helpful.

I tried their ground beef tonight that was ground in house, and it was very good, Eddie Basha would approve. The one on sale for 2.97 was definitely not the same meat, pre ground at the plant obviously. I am happy with this stores service level and cleanliness. It is always well taken care of and has a great grocery, great deli, excellent produce, and meat departments. The prices are competitive, and the friendly staff and excellent store managers deserve an increase in pay, even a small one. The Sushi is very good as well. The courtesy clerks work hard on carts and baskets and keep the front clean and organized. The ad is easy to read and has good deals for families, seniors, and all kinds of shoppers. I'm making an effort to come here instead of Fry's. read more

This is one of our most favorite grocery stores! We really don't like to grocery shop, how do I know what we might want to eat 4 days from now? So much pressure! ;) Anyway, shopping here eases the pain, everyone is so friendly and helpful. I asked to sample the chicken salad and the lady working the counter didn't act like I was causing her pain and wasting her time. The chicken salad was delicious and I'll be getting some on our next shopping trip. The store was super clean and the produce section made me want to buy a little bit of everything, the bright colors and the way everything is displayed kinda made me want to hang out with the bananas! And who knew Mini Gala apples even existed?! We were here to pick up only a few items and apparently we looked dazed and confused enough for an employee to ask if we needed help finding something...clearly we did! He pointed us to Aisle 6, halfway down, on the left. I love when people know there stuff! The cashier and the bagger were really nice and efficient as well. read more

The butcher here is the best. Whenever I request something cut a specific way, they are very happy to accommodate me. The sandwiches at the deli are good too. The cashiers are very friendly. read more

I always try to AVOID the Starbucks in this store and I drive clear down to the New Starbucks near the freeway entrance just to get a good tasting Iced coffee but today I was short on time. I should have just spent the money on gas because the Barista there was just plain out RUDE!!! Starbucks is a treat for me since they are so expensive. The Barista was training another girl there and she was just annoyed and unhappy to a point where she was just RUDE!!! I know alot of people who stop there due to convenience but they are better off closing that bashas location and building a new one so bashas employees don't run it. I had told the lady my coffee is too strong and tasted BURNT (as usual there) and for her to give me extra creamer to fix it, she then said she wanted to charge me! I should have just gotten my money back and took the drive to the other location.I wanted to complain to a manager but EVERYONE is ALWAYS so unhappy at that store!!! So BEWARE of nasty burnt tasting coffee at this location!!! read more

Has got to have the worst produce of any grocery store I've been too. This place certainly doesn't take pride in the cleanliness of its most perishable product. When asked if they have any additional produce in the back I was informed that the guy was on break and couldn't be bothered. Poor excuse for a grocery store. read more

Customer orientated staff. Friendly and helpful. Easy to get in and out and on your way with groceries.

This is the slowest store I have ever been to never but one person working, has to be a long line before somebody comes to help!!!

I love this Bashas! The best deals on meat compared to other stores! They have cannoli that is the best in town! They always have at least a couple of the Boars Head meats on sale every week at the Deli. They have always been helpful and kind! (The only thing that I don't like about shopping there is still running into my psychotic ex next door neighbor - LOL!) read more

I started shopping at this Basha's after I moved to this side of town. Frankly, it's a really good store. Some of the prices (meat, deli) can get a little high, so it's important to watch for sales and coupons. Their wine selection is okay, not great, but it'll do in a pinch. What makes me a fan is the customer service. They have some great people working there. Always willing to help, they remember you from past visits and engage is great chit chats. I'm really a fan of the people there. Give them a try, like I said, they do remember their regulars. read more

A normal trip to the grocery store became an enjoyable experience thanks to Sean (C.?) in the meat/bakery department, individuals like Sean have an enjoyable presence and have you leave better than you came in. Will be sure to come back for more cooked goods read more

This is one of the friendliest groceries I've been to. I am from out of town and went in to get some last minute things for thanksgiving dinner and they had all I need. I needed green bean casserole and they had an end cap with the ingredients right there for me. Great bakery with doughnuts I picked up for breakfast. There were other displays with all the ingredients for common thanksgiving dishes. The staff was friendly and the isles were well marked & spacious. Next time I'm in town I'll be coming here! Only con was the small size. It probably has everything you need for day-to-day but for more unique ingredients and products you'll need a back-up place. read more

It's got a decent selection of food. My only complaint was the produce section. In Tucson, I expect to be able to find fresh red hot peppers, and wasn't. I also was unable to find fresh brussels sprouts, which should be available in the spring and autumn. read more

Love this grocery store. Employees are helpful and they have great deals. This is my go to grocery store.

I called their main number & asked to be connected to their deli. Was told he couldn't do that & gave me a different phone number to call.

I used the local Wal Mart pharmacy and had nothing but complications when I would go to pick up my prescriptions. Now that I am using Basha's pharmacy I have no problems. The pharmacists Summer and her staff are truly fantastic. Within the first month of using this pharmacy the staff new my name, went out of their way to make sure I was taken care of and that I had a understanding of my medications and how to take these medications properly. The only regret I have is that I did not change to this pharmacy sooner. read more

All the women that are cashiers are always in a bad mood and not friendly. It's like they are mad they have to check people out. Never a hi how are you. Poor customer service. I got pizza from the deli and stood there while two employees just stood there and didn't even come to ask what I'd like. I ordered two slices of pizza that were very small and greasy for $5! Plus the guy used his hands to get the pizza off the tray. Not sanitary at all! I keep going here cause I live close but I think that will be the last time. read more

You gotta be mad at your money to shop at this place...pricey, very pricey. Worth a drive down the road to any store but this one. Not sure who the other reviewers were talking about when saying they have good customer service. Non responsive management, aloof cashiers. Only bright spot are the butchers...they get the term "customer service".. read more

Pharmacy is great. Spectacular service. As for groceries. Decent place, but always long lines.
