Be extremely careful about Walmart's bait-and-switch pricing. They advertise one price online, lure you in, and then try to charge something completely different in the store. My experience on 11/18/2025 was a perfect example. I saw a Walmart ad for a Star Wars toy for $10. It was out of stock online but said "Pick up at store," and the Terrell, TX Walmart (Store #265) showed it in stock. I drove over an hour to get there. At the register, the toys rang up for $29 each! Almost triple the advertised price. Nowhere did the ad say the in-store price would be different, and the crossed-out "original price" online was $24.99, so even Walmart's own numbers didn't match. I asked an employee, assuming they would simply match their own advertised price. Instead, I was sent to the service desk, where I waited 20 minutes only to be told they WOULD NOT HONOR IT. They refused to match Walmart's own app price. Their reasoning was that Walmart online and Walmart the store are completely different monoliths. WHAT?!? WHY!?! I spoke with multiple supervisors--Kim, Andrea, and finally Daniel--all of whom repeated the same canned line: that online and in-store are "completely different" and they "can't do anything about online prices." This is absurd. Walmart's own policy says they match prices from Walmart.com, yet here they were pretending their own website belonged to some unrelated company. The corporate call center wasn't any better. I was told the issue would be escalated urgently and that I'd receive a call within 30 minutes. I waited 45, called back, and they had *no record of me at all*. After retelling the entire story, I was finally told that the store manager, Robert, would call me within three days. I left empty-handed after wasting my time, gas, and patience. This is FALSE ADVERTISING, plain and simple. As I told Andrea: How is a customer supposed to know that Walmart's advertised online price isn't actually the price? How is it acceptable to say something costs $10 online, then charge $30 in store? Why even list prices online at all if they bear no relation to what you'll be charged at the register? The whole thing feels intentionally misleading--a mechanism to pull customers into the store with low online prices, only to hit them with higher ones once they arrive. The three "managers" I spoke to acted like price matching or overrides are mythical concepts they've never heard of. Walmart is one company. Online or in-store, the price they advertise should be the price they honor. Instead, I was met with rudeness, inconsistency, and a complete lack of accountability. Terrell, Texas Walmart should be embarrassed by the incompetence on display today. I'm still waiting for a so-called "resolution," but based on how badly this was handled, I'm not holding my breath. *TERRELL, TEXAS WALMART SCAMMED ME.* They should have done a simple override and honored their own price. I freaking love this Walmart. I live in forney and willingly drive to Terrell 50% of the time. If I need one thing I'll go in forney but if I have a list over 4 items, I got to Terrell. The only downside is that the majority of the registers are self check out. That's not a big deal to me but my husband absolutely hates self check out. He hates the concept of self check out. He hates everything about self check out. Lol The last selection isn't as big as the store in Forney either but the people in the store actually smile at you when they walk by the greeters at the door actually speak to you when you walk in, and they smile at you when you walk out. It's like an entirely different world from the Forney Walmart. Nobody smiles, everyone looks angry, the greeters eye ball you like you're a thief, it's just really uncomfortable as a whole. So I am very thankful that I went in Terrell and that it's an option for me. read more

When calling Walmart to inform, I got hung up on 6 times. Then they expressed ordered the same items, AND MISSING 8 ITEMS. So I've spent my grocery money &^ have no groceries. Won't honor anything and will lie to you're face about something you took a picture of ! Crazy !!!!! I get it can't honor something fine... but lying to my face! I'll never be back to this trashy location. Unacceptable behavior Walmart you need to work on customer service. I found a garage organization kit for 12.98 and took a picture of a shelf loaded with the kits and price tag to show the front, at the front it rang up for 150 ish. The lady disappeared for 15 min and came back with a story of I went back there and there wasn't a tag . Basically calling me and my wife a liar after we clearly had a picture of it. And proceeded to basically call us liars as if we put the tag on the shelf. I'm not a low life I work hard for my money Walmart. This Walmart is huge and has a lot to offer. I probably came here 6 times in my 4 days in Terrell and pretty much always found what i needed. The one thing i found frustrating was employees lack of care. Online it said a pop up trash was in aisle i22 so we walked around looking for it. However, it went from 21 to 23 and i couldn't find 22 anywhere... so i asked a lady that was working and she said it's that way pointing her finger. I explained i couldn't find it anywhere and instead of showing us she said "i don't know" then walked away. It was very rude and not good customer service. read more

This is a decent sized Wal-Mart for this area - the only one in a 45 minute drive radius. We do most of our shopping at this store and usually find what we need in everything from clothing to groceries. The folks at this store are very friendly. When my elderly, blind dog went missing from our fenced yard, I put up flyers everywhere I thought people might see them. I talked to the manager and she let me put up the flyers with a photo of my dog in various locations of the store to help find my baby. I will never forget that. Not all stores were as friendly or accommodating. In another dog-related story, I once spotted a pair of dogs in someone's truck when it was over 100 degrees outside in this Wal-Mart's parking lot. I took a photo of the vehicle with my phone and called the police to let them know the location and license plate of the truck. I then went to the customer service area of the store and told them what happened. The manager got on the loudspeaker and boldly announced, "To the owner of the grey Chevy with license plate XXX-XXX, it is over 100 degrees outside with your dogs trapped in your truck. Are you crazy?! The cops are on their way, so you better drop your stuff and rescue your dogs before the police break your windows!" People in the store cheered. I placed a pickup order online for a specific time and then two hours before pickup time, my order was cancelled. Then they tell me the amount for the grocery items will be on hold 2-3 days depending on my bank. So now, not only do I NOT have groceries for the next two weeks, I can't even go to a different store to shop, because my funds are on hold. I guess we didn't need to eat. I am beyond earth pissed!!! I was livid in the store! Just left a review for the canton location yesterday. This location doesn't have any toilet paper, paper towles, tissues, or wipes! So now that is 2 locations without product. That isn't even what I am mad about. I was at the register and the cashier told me they where low on bags and asked if she could not bag some items which I agreed to. I pay for my few items only a few because there was BARLEY any product to shop from. There is a long ass line to get outside of the store because they have ONE employee checking receipts. I guess to prevent theft but I'm pretty sure that's what security is for. This employee is arguing with every customer trying to leave. I finally get to the employee and he asks to see my receipt . Um this is not Costco or Sam's club. I asked what makes him think it's ok to see my receipt and he says "Walmart can make any policy they want because they own it." Well listen here buddy. This is a shareholder. I used to work for Walmart and was NEVER allowed to talk to customers like this. I was so close to turning right around and returning everything I just bought! I have never been so upset with a company. Walmart needs to get it together. I spend more than $1000 here monthly. You would think they would treat their customers with more respect. I was born and raised in Terrell, Texas, I am 92 yrs old, college degree, WWII and Korean War veteran...with a vivid memory ( Thank God) .. so, I am thinking that I know a thing or two not "all" but a thing or two. Terrell WalMart lacks a lot. For one thing they do not have enough motorized scooter shopping carts....I can not walk and I can never find one of these carts and when I do, it is mostly a contraption...it automatically stops and you have to jump up and down to get it started. Mostly the isles are too close together...passing is mostly impossible. The fried chicken is old, dry and horrible. Its easy to keep it fresh and good. But otherwise the store is run good as much as allowed , but too crowded,,,too much stuff...the produce area to crowded .. can't shop for everything you desire too many customers and some of the customers would just as soon hit you if you bother them....as I said store too crowded with merchandise. Bought a lawn mower from the Terrell Walmart. after 3 week the mower quite and would not start. Went to return/exchange the mower but I did not have the receipt. There is a large sign in the customer service wall that states that Walmart will return or exchange anything within 90 days with or without the receipt.Unfortunately for me Walmart refused to return or exchange the mower. has anyone else had this type of problem? Best not to do business with this store because they do not respect their own rules that are posted on the wall. I NO LONGER shop a t wallmart as they do not have so many items needed. they also have so few check out counters open that it is a extremely long wait to be checked out. this store has incompetent employees that cannot tell you where any thing is located. a lot of the prices are no better than brookshires. there meat is of a poor quality and the price is as high if not higher than brookshires. talking to the manager is like talking to a brick wall. its as if they cannot hear or dont give a damn as nothing ever changes.
