Came on weekday around 1 pm and was told 3-4 hour wait. I left. I came back at 4 to have the tire mounted and left there at 6:30. They had one tire guy and one oil change guy. The Farmers Market is not large but it is loaded with local produce and other culinary items. Jan was very excited over what they had to offer, espically when she saw the purple hull peas. I'd never heard of them. She was even more excited when she found them in the fridge already hulled. We ended up purchasing tomatoes, green tomatoes, okra, peaches, purple hulled peas, butter beans and cantaloupe. We also bought a box of WhistleStop (one word) breading mix for the green tomatoes. We fixed green fried tomatoes as soon as we got home. They were excellent. The cantaloupe was excellent. The east Texas peaches were excellent. The okra, peas and beans are in the freezer.

As with all Buc-ee's locations, you can expect the cleanest and most plentiful bathrooms in the history of mankind, enough gas pumps for an entire town (I think, I just did a napkin count), and all of the snacks and hot food that you could possibly want, to say nothing of an expansive merch selection. So what's not to like? Nothing. Nothing is not to like, it's just a great place that never fails to deliver on everything. My official hot tip for this and all Buc-ee's: check out the coin battery prices, those little round guys, for some reason, are cheaper here than almost almost anywhere else. There's another Buc-ee's closer to our home, it's my destination for those pesky CR2025 and CR2032, which seem to get slurped up by our devices. You can tell they take pride in what they sell, and the difference shows once it's on the grill. If you're looking for a local butcher with great service, excellent beef jerky, and top-notch cuts of meat, Gorman's is absolutely worth the trip. I'll definitely be back.
