She didn't see it and asked another employee who told her it was seasonal and not in stock. I went to the photo counter and asked if the machine was working. Disappointing Service and Battery Issue Ignored I had a very disappointing experience at this location on June 11. The staff seemed uninterested and unmotivated--only a couple of people had any kind of friendly demeanor. Most of the employees ignored customer questions, and there was a general lack of communication. I brought my car in because the battery, which I had purchased from this location (and is still under warranty), was failing. AutoZone had previously tested it and recommended a replacement. At the counter, one employee checked my invoice and took my key, then handed it off to a service technician. I waited inside, saw the car being tested, and then it disappeared--so I assumed they were doing a road test. Nearly an hour passed with no updates. I tried asking staff members what was happening with my car, but no one responded or seemed to care. A woman at the counter even refused to help because I didn't have the service intake form--something I was never given in the first place. Eventually, I found my car parked outside, in a place that wasn't visible from the service area. It took extra time to get my key back, again because there was no paperwork showing I had dropped it off. I was told the battery tested fine, yet in the past week alone, I've had to jump-start the car three times. This kind of service is unacceptable--especially when dealing with a warranty issue. I expected more professionalism and basic communication. Definitely not coming back here. Update as of June 18: Due to the same battery failure in my vehicle, I was stranded on the road again. I first went to the nearest Walmart Supercenter at 22850 Morton Ranch Rd, Katy, where I waited in line, only to be told when it was my turn that they didn't have a replacement battery of the same size. I then drove to the 25108 Market Pl Dr, Katy location, where I experienced the same issue. Finally, I was able to get the battery replaced at the 1313 N Fry Rd, Katy location. Located on Highway 6 a little bit north of the heart of Sugar Land is this Walmart, which obviously gets very busy and can be a nightmare to get in and out of - especially at busy times. Very bad customer service. I just left. Went to customer service to return an item. Lady told me I couldn't return due to different number on receipt or wrong item or something. I told her this happens all the time. I asked for a manager. She very rudely told me to look at her badge and that she'd been there for 10 years. This store is near my office and I stopped in before work one morning recently to get some nail polish. The ENTIRE cosmetic section is under lock and key. I found someone to open the case for me and she took the nail polish from me after I grabbed it and said she had to put it in a security box unless I wanted to pay for it there in the cosmetics section register. Absolutely HORRIBLE customer service in the tire center. Dropped off my car to get my tire patched, one guy told me 15 mins & to pull up in the next lane. 2 mins later, another worker came over screaming at me to get out of the way for other customers. To begin, I don't like being accosted by peddlers inside of a store. I don't appreciate being accosted when I walk out of a store by a peddler either. Every time I come into the Sugarland store, the card readers will not read any of my credit cards or debit card. However, I can go to any of the other stores and not have a bit of problem with that situation. Furthermore, the self check out-assistants are utterly useless. This Walmart is ridiculous. And now they want to put glass doors on everything. So you have to wait an extra 30 minutes to an hour just to get a canna spray paint or some lipstick. Every single thing in the store is marked wrong so you get to the cash register and end up paying more 90% of the time. The pharmacy is by far the worst thing in that store. I have only filled one prescription there and for that one prescription I have had to come back to the store five freaking times. They call me and told me they have it I show up and they don't, then they tell me it'll be ready in an hour so I leave come back in an hour and they tell me they have to order it. So they gave me half of the prescription and then I have to come back to that only that Walmart to get it filled. I am so sick of their pharmacy. I didn't want to send my prescription to the Stafford Walmart because that one's even worse but this one is definitely getting to that point. This Walmart must be doing something different. Maybe it's location based but the manners of most employees are nearly impeccable. Sometimes this is not the case but 90% of the time I receive better than just acceptable customer care. I am able to find attendants who answer any questions pertaining to location of products or the like. Company mobile application improvements: Now that Walmart has an application these questions are more rare regarding aisle location unless I am without my mobile. However, this Walmart price matched their online price without question and quickly when there were discrepancies! They were sweet and I only waited maybe 4 minutes for the self-scan attendant to be free, check, and change the price according to the listed online price. **Please note, this item must be sold by Walmart to be price matched for all my dear deal-loving, coupon-clicking followers :) If I must choose a Walmart, this one is one of the best. So why 4 stars instead of 5? Well...I think most of America agrees 4 stars is impressive for any Walmart as it stands, even with their recent renovations and minor "improvements" recently implemented in many stores. This is simply due to the complete lack of conviction any employee can hardly be expected to hold given the pay vs. responsibility given at Walmart. There is a clear lack of care between authorities and store owners that seems to whisper that sweet song of the 1% community. As long as the store is performing in a certain monetary margin they are well-off. Then there is another gap between management and floor associates which completes the equation that often results in complete and utter dread on most employees mind when the word "work" is said. Will they ever be a 5? Only God knows. They certainly seem to have enough resources to provide significant resolutions for common complaints but as history has shown, as long as one store performs within marginal expectation, I doubt Walmart cares to go above and beyond in the customer care field as a whole until there is a direct competitor nation wide with a physical store location reign as large as that of King Walmart, Conqueror of the Mom and Pop Shop Era. Now that Target significantly lowered prices to the point of competition with Walmart we have seen renovations come to light. The once garage and mothball essence has come to pass. Walmart has upgraded to a newly tiled and automated scenery that carries an air of a once-rich-now-bankrupt car collector who sold his garage to a supermart interested in dominating more than the vegetable market. In the end, my review of this Walmart should stand out. Why? Other Walmart stores employees will quite literally break eye contact or deliberately look away, even changing directions sometimes to avoid another customer question. I understand off the clock employees may do this but at least 3 stores near where I grew up have this issue. I still can not blame them, there seems to be a ratio of approximately 150 customers per employee implemented. Every time I travel nation wide I am greeted with the look of a crushed soul rather than a friendly smile. There are exactly two Walmart locations I have visited in two decades that have employees that don't look like they're being blackmailed and held against their will when approached with a question that would take about 20 seconds to answer. Walmart as a whole has unfortunately set it's customer expectation low enough to foresee a future where Target or a similar brand can one day overthrow King Walmart and reign as Target (or Similar) The Kingdom of Customer Care. On 12/12/2020 @ 1:24 PM I purchased one Apple 10.2-inch iPad (8th Gen) Wi-Fi 128GB - Space Gray at Walmart.com on-line for In-store pick-up. At 2:36 PM I received the email informing me my order was ready. I left my house at 3:20 PM and checked in on the Walmart App as instructed in the email. I arrived at the store at 3:45 PM, proceeded to the Pick-up Tower and scanned the barcode on my cellphone as instructed in the email. Nothing happened and the cover over the scanner closed. There was no one else at the tower, and no associates were present. I waited for approx. 10 minutes with nothing happening when another customer approached and scanned her cellphone also. Again, nothing happened and the cover closed. She asked me if we were supposed to do something else, and I replied I did not know. After another 10 minutes, she approached the greeter at the door, and he said he would try and find someone to help us. He returned 5 minutes later saying someone would be called to help. Two other customers approached the tower, scanned their cell phones with the same result. After 10 more minutes, a young man showed up and apologized for our wait, he asked our names and looked it up on his hand-held scanner. He then found some keys and started looking in the lockers around the Pick-up Tower and could not find our purchases. He then called someone on the phone and told us that our purchases were at the back of the store in a secure area. He said he had to go find our purchases and he would return when he found them. After another 20 minutes of waiting, he finally returned with our purchases. He apologized saying he had to locate someone to unlock the secure area they were stored in. I asked him why we all got email messages telling us our packages were ready to be picked up when they were not ready. He stated he did not know, someone just sent him over to help us. I thanked him for his help and left the store at 4:45 PM, one hour after I arrived at the store. Walmart is obviously not serious about purchase online for in-store pick-up. The whole point if to save the customer's time, and lessen the exposure to Covid-19. It would have been MUCH faster and safer to simply walk to the department and make a purchase than having to wait an hour for someone to give you what you have already paid for. read more

This review will focus on frames since that's pretty much the only thing I go to Walmart for these days. They tend to have a large selection and good prices, with a decent array of frames from very low quality to somewhat decent. What... no 27x40 picture frames? But that's what I came for... only walmart ever has them. Doh! The more often I come, despite the large selection, the more often I find that the specific item I made the trip for happens to not be in stock. Whats up with that? Also, what's with all the broken picture frames? Is this a shipping issue to the store or are your customers just animals? Ah well, still left with two frames for less than $10 including one odd size that was perfect for something I needed. So awkward success but epic fail at the same time? Despite that I tend to think of this as a better/cleaner walmart... they didn't do so hot on the frames. read more

How are they gonna lock up items but not have anyone available to unlock what you need. For example, there's a whole make up and shaving product area with their own register and for 30 minutes I waited for someone to come unlock a few things and they never came. I was told to go to customer service and there was a long line, yet a bunch of workers on the floor who couldn't help me.
