I personally love Walmart. Whenever we need something urgent, Walmart most definitely has it, from tools to fix something around the house to specific ingredients for a recipe. Honestly, this has the worse organized Walmart. I recently moved back to Savannah after living in Hellanta for 3 years. I didn't have that much interaction with the employees but it was the customers who are rude as hell. HEALTH ALERT As a customer of Walmart Delivery Service, I must say CHECK THE DATES ON YOUR FOOD!! I was in the store months ago and was purchasing a box of Rogerwood Sausage. As I checked to be sure they were not spicy I noticed that they were expired. I knocked on the meat department door and informed the clerk that the case of sausage was out of date. He replied that he would remove them. I finished shopping and checked to see if he had done so. HE HAD NOT!! I also alerted another store member. Now, on 5/25/25 I received a home delivery of Wrights Bacon. EXPIRATION DATE 5/25/25!! Again, in JUNE I received another order of Wrights Bacon and behold it Expired 5/25/25!!! I alerted the customer service and was given a refund for the 2 packages. Unfortunately, one package had already been partially consumed. Just thought we had a stomach bug. Yeah, bad meat. I put in an order for groceries. Granted it was EBT and the first order that i could do since I was able to get EBT. I had previously tried 4 times. Anyway my order because I put it in late in the afternoon it wasn't to be delivered until 9-11 evening. I called at 10:15 as I had not heard anything. I tried 4 times up to 11:00pm when they closed. No word. This morning I got up and made the first call at 6:08am and up to 9:48 I had tried 9 times and was never able to talk to a live person. I don't know if I have groceries coming or not. I know there is 79 items that I need badly. The pantry is empty. I have no car. I can't afford Uber and I am 79 years old. Then I look on my order and because I signed up for the 50% off membership because of EBT the charged me more shipping besides the 9.95 the had already charged me. Isn't life wonderful. read more

I'm giving this Walmart a four star instead of a three because I had a GREAT CART!!!! It's the first time in my history of shopping Walmart I had such a wonderful cart. It really made my shopping experience so much better. Over all, the store was clean and organized. The biggest problem I experienced was nothing being priced and the items that were priced were priced wrong... example... I got some kitty litter that was priced 6.78 and it rang up at 7.15. I think everything is going up in price so fast the workers can't keep up. The checkout process was easy. They had two registers opens and the two self checkout lines. That being said, it's with good reason that this Walmart, others too, have such negative reviews. Very long lines and plenty of unmanned check out stations. My main complaint is that basic items are locked behind glass and it's hard to find anyone to unlock it. Also razors are locked behind glass and you have to pay for them before you can continue shopping. Same with many other items in the store. By the time I leave I have like four receipts. Annoying. Employees seem rather grumpy as well which leads me to believe they're underpaid. The store is clean and usually more organized than other Walmarts which is why this isn't a one star review. Also, don't ever bother calling them to see if they have something you need because by the time you're off hold you could have driven to the store, bought it, and probably driven to Florida and back. read more

Stopped in to find a limited edition ice cream from Ben & Jerry's, and Walmart actually had it in stock! There is nothing spectacular about this Walmart, but they have completed many exterior and interior updates. I asked an associate to assist me with a price check and she immediately began to assist me. She came back with the price check. Thank you Walmart for being the last location with this ice cream! This store deserves a B. The store is generally always stocked, you can see the work in the rebranding of the store, and the new self check is easy and user friendly. Pitfalls, the lines are always extremely long, the parking lot is filled with buggies, most merchandise is disorderly, and shopping in Walmart's are never relaxing or warming like a few other major retailers. read more

Honestly this is the worst Walmart in Savannah to go too. I know most Walmarts are crowded, but this one is never not crowded, even at 11pm. The produce section is never stocked. I have never seen it fully stocked....ever. it is the dirtiest Walmart as well, probably because it's so busy. If you ever need help with anything, you will be looked at like you are inconveniencing every single person who works there even though they are just chilling and talking to each other on the job. Normally, I do not shop at Walmart, but it seems to be the only shopping center opened late night 24/7. Walmart Supercenter location is convenient to Truman Parkway. The parking is enormous and at the very front of the parking there is a Zaxby and newly constructed Mc'donald's. They have parking securities, but i doubt there doing any work. As you enter the place, it has a subway and cook chicken. There is chicken wings, chicken tenders, chicken terriaki and fried chicken. There is a huge produce section along with aisles of dry food and cleaning products. It is 9 PM, many of the night workers here do absolutely nothing but pretend to work, wonder around, or socialize right in front of you. There are over 20 people on the floor pretending to work, and only 2-3 cashiers at the register. When i ask a question to these workers, they'll say "I'm not working right now" with an evil look on their face. Well if you're not working, go home that's what I would do. This place isn't disneyland. A supercenter this big, hires about 180 people and out of those 180, only 2-3 people are cashiers. Check out time is estimated at 45 minutes. So bring a pillow in case you need to fall asleep waiting in line forever. The check-out machine doesn't even work properly. Some days it wont accept cash, other days it discriminates cards. Overall, my experience with Walmart is substandard because the lack of management. read more

Went back to this Wal-Mart again today. I'm like a battered wife that keeps going back. It was nice that the greeter in the Garden Dept. paused her cell phone conversation long enough to greet me. I also like the new look of the store without proper signage and the lack of employees to help me find what I am looking for. Also, I was thrilled at the lack of interest from my cashier. She never even made eye contact. just wanted to rub it in that this is the worst wal-mart in the world. and there are some really bad ones. Wow, another negative review. If you must shop at Walmart avoid this one. I purchased a car battery with a free install, but it ending costing me in multiple ways. First, the battery did not fit the existing housing that they neglected to tell me. I found out by opening the hood and finding the casing in my trunk. Secondly, they damaged my door handle. It was pulled out of its hinge. If that was not enough, my concerns were met with a flagrant attitude where I decided to speak to the manager. In addition, earlier when I was waiting for the battery installation, I decided to look for a mirror. When I finally found a sales representative, she barely looked at me as she vaguely pointed in a certain direction. Mind you I was already in the Home section. What made it worse was that I crossed her path three times while I was looking and never once did she stop to assist. Everyone has bad days but the general staff at this location is not customer friendly. I should have got that hint when I called twice in the morning and no one answered after ringing extensively, or better yet read YELP reviews! After a month of phone calls to headquarters and the store (they never pick up) Walmart has refused to make any remediations. As someone said there must be something in the lighting at Walmart that transforms them into alien life forms. read more

"Crappy Walmart" is a thing, but this disaster takes the cake. Unfortunately, they have run out several awesome places that I used to be able to get groceries after working late. Come here if you like: Nasty staff... I know it sucks to be at work, but holy hell the people working here are the worst of any Walmart I've been to. Rotten produce. Things like peppers and tomatoes will look fine until you cut into them, then you find the mold. Horribly disorganized shelves. Front and face? Hell no. Enjoy your rotting chicken stuck in the canned soup aisle. The patrons... Though this can be a plus if you want video to post to YouTube. I've seen one armed shooting and two fights where weaves were left behind. "Security" does nothing, as is the same for the SCMPD cop that sleeps in his car outside. The customer service is terrible. I was there at 11:30am on a Saturday to buy a bed for my children. After 20 min of not being able to find an employee to help us we found someone in electronics. She told us they would call someone to help us. After another 15 min no one came, so we went to customer service. We were told there someone would meet us back at the furniture. I'll admit, I'm not a huge fan of Wal-Mart. Yes, they have everything you could ever need but I loathe the check out process. It's mostly self scan with very few humans available to help you. I was very warmly greeted when I entered the store and I noticed that this location seemed cleaner than most. I was having issues getting a medication filled at CVS due to a medication shortage. The pharmacy inside this store had my medication at a fraction of the cost. The pharmacy staff was wonderful! I picked up a few items and found a live person to check me out. While I was waiting in line, I noticed that the prosciutto and mozzarella that I picked up was covered in mold. (Ewwwwwwwwwwww...see pic) I handed it to the cashier and she did a little eye roll and tossed it aside. I'd think she would want to notify a Dept manager and check to see if others were molded but nope. She never smiled and was like "Yeah lady, have a great day". I'll still try to only go to Walmart as needed but I am considering switching my prescriptions to the pharmacy. read more

Why do millions of people continue to shop in here , for some it's their prices , (I'm not in that camp) for others it's that they'll the only ones that sell that one item that you want / need . For me that's the case so I continuously put myself through something like Chinese water torture just to get that one item that no one else sells . Shopping for school supplies while on vacation. We wanted to prevent being last minute shoppers and getting the last of everything. Supplies were a little crazy but that is just consumers making a mess. This was the biggest store we had been in as far as a Walmart. Everything was clean and a lot of space between each aisle. All associates were very helpful. There was only two aisles open for cashier. I really don't understand that as it was bigger than what we are used to at home and still same cashier amount. I just wrote a complaint letter - email to Walmart about this store. Seems they have a black female "greeter" that has a serious problem and an authority complex not to mention being a racist. After observing for a long time I decided it was time to exit with my purchases. She promptly stopped me to check my receipt. Yes, I am a white middle aged male. She never stopped anyone else to check their receipts. I politely told her no thanks but she stepped in front of my buggy and reached into my things to hunt for it. At this point I (very loudly and firmly) told her to back off and get a warrant. She continued at which time I yelled for her to stop. She said she was told to do this and I told her if she continued I would have her arrested and if the store wanted to search my buggy full of stuff after I had purchased it they would have to obtain a court order and warrant and I pushed past her and left. Upon arriving home I immediately went to the Walmart website and filed a complaint. After two days no response from Walmart. Note for you all They can do this at SAMs Club because you pay to join the "club" and in doing so you agree to their terms of membership. This does not apply to a Walmart Store nor any other retail establishment. Once you have made your purchase and are leaving the store they no longer have the legal right to search your stuff. Both my neighbor and daughter have had this same thing happen to them and we all agree that we will no longer tolerate it and if it continues will raise holly hell in the store and if necessary take public legal action. read more

Finally found someone that told me that they were out of the product, but go ask customer service. Customer service did not want to call other store because she knew she would get the run around. Sure enough, three calls and no one helped, so I just decided to go over to the store. I go and the same crap..no one to help, I took a lesser product and told this customer service the hassle I went through, I ask for the same price of the name brand discount price for the lesser brand, no way. Btw, the kid in that department never called up to customer service, probably hiding or left. Jeez. So I went to Home Depot. I plan to start using Target........ The store you love to hate. Where to begin? This is the closet "we have it all" store to the Southside islands area. It's open 24 hours a day and can be so packed full of clueless people that you are hopelessly trapped in aisles by kids napping on the floor and people parking buggies like wagons in a circle preventing anyone from invading their territory. There are frequently no prices on items, items placed under the wrong price tag, often items will be out of stock for weeks. Top shelves are so high you'd have to be Shaquille O'Neal to reach the items on it, but hey, rude service and quirky customers in pajamas aside, where else can you go to buy a watch, sweats, wood glue, peanuts, kayak and potting soil (good look finding a price on it) all in one area at 5 o'clock in the morning! Wander aisles you've never visited and you may find some real bargains like 92 cent giant bags of tortilla chips you'd pay $6 for elsewhere and $1.50 girl scout cookie knockoffs, some of which are vegan. Just be prepared to stand in line forever or do self check out and if you need customer service, prepare for a long wait and two or three more calls for help. Store is mostly clean. Layout of goods is confusing with school supplies by the bathroom fixtures and sturdy brooms in the camping and electronics section. Batteries move about the store on displays but can usually be found up front. You can get some great deals on clothing near the end of season - $3 for shirts and eight pair of socks for less than a quarter a pair which hold up well over time. It once took them six weeks to restock frozen potatoes. No explanation over why. They let outside salespeople inside and outside to annoy you. Beware the electronics/petfood area where mobile telemarketers greet you like a long list friend sentry to sell you a phone or television/internet service. The best tine to go is early in the morning. Late afternoon is the worst. read more

Rolled them over to the tire shop to be told they can't install them. What should have been two hours max turned into a whole day as I left to find a service center. My savings evaporated. This is the worst Walmart I have ever been to. I went a few weeks ago and went to the fitting rooms and there was a store associate there.. I believe her name was Tamia or something of the sort. My friend and I stood there for a couple minutes waiting to be helped while she just chatted away with a co-worker about her summer classes. We eventually had to interrupt and ask her if we could have a fitting room. She then rolled her eyes and looked at us and told us that there should be one open.
