Delicious Argentinian Malbec, pairs well with lamb!

I can't walk into this store for just one thing, and I love that about Aldi. There's always something new to try... and I'm going to try it. Found these delicious garlic stuffed olives this evening. They are absolutely delicious. The garlic to olive ratio is perfect. If you love olives, you have to pick these up. Aldi is always an experience for this foodie. Service is always fast, yet kind. Love the wide aisles and great selection. Aldi shoppers are always so kind, folks love giving their baskets away and so do I.

I was recently bouncing around Savannah on 7/19 and happen to stop in the Pooler location. My first time here and I almost hit the door because apparently I couldn't read the entrance sign. But as I walked through I was surprised at the reasonable prices and the cleanliness of this location. At this time I didn't buy anything I just wanted to see what the hype was about. The staff was friendly and answered my questions and told me more than I thought. I found out there was a location in Savannah (yay), then I remember Yoonie L telling me that you have to have a quarter for the cart and I also saw shoppers bagging their grocery . I think I will be going back for the fresh produce if nothing else at this time. Very clean and not over crowded for a small location

*happy dance* FINALLY! ALDI, NOW OPEN IN POOLER (shouting from my rooftop)! These are the little things that bring me joy at this stage in my life LOL! Kristin told me of the opening, scooped me up and took me there, like a good friend should. Thanks, Kristin! xo. When we moved back to the mainland last year and the first place my mother-in-law took me to is an Aldi! Holy cow, if you ever want to experience reverse sticker shock, live in Hawaii and then go into an Aldi. I think I bought a whole field of corn on that first trip. My kids and I LOVE corn. They were about $1 for 1 corn in Hawaii. We spent a small fortune on corn during those 3 years. Then I walked into an Aldi and saw $0.20 for 1 corn! You better believe I bought what they had (just kidding, but close). So it was love at first sight, but then heartbreak occurred almost instantly when we moved to Savannah and learned that there was neither a Costco or Aldi. - Parking - Private lot. - Vibe - They've built quite the store in Pooler, next to Pet Smart. Understandably, the place was a zoo on opening day. We arrived around 10am and the parking lot was jam packed. The store had opened at 9am and I talked to some shoppers and some had started lining up at 7am. Wow, that's dedication, but also an indication of how much the people who know about Aldi, love them! They were giving out gift cards of $10, $25, $50 and $100 value to the first 100 customers. Well, I missed that boat, but I was just happy to be in the store. The giveaways didn't stop there though. Aldi had stuck a quarter in all of their carts, so we didn't need to worry about that. For you first time Aldi Nerds, one of the ways Aldi cuts prices and passes the savings to you is requiring a quarter deposit for their shopping carts, so that you'll return them to the front of the store and in turn, they don't have the need to hire runners to bring the carts back. It actually brings me back memories of my childhood in Canada when the grocery stores there had the same requirement back then. My parents would always let me keep the quarter for bringing it back. A girl's gotta eat LOL. Going back to the store, they had other giveaways like entering for a chance to win free produce for a year, an Aldi quarter holder keychain and free reusable bags for opening day. Once we checked out, they also gave us several coupons valid for the next few weeks. - TLC - They were well staffed for opening day with all cashes open. There were other employees stocking on the floor and others at the sample stations. Even the managers were out handing out reusable bags. I read an article once that all the employees were cross trained on all tasks required to run the store, so that will be nice when looking for help for any aspect in the store. That's genius because the worst a customer can hear is, I'm not sure, it's not my department, let me find someone that can help you and then they disappear trying to find someone. - About Aldi - The company comes from Germany. We were stationed there a long time ago and I saw them everywhere. I never felt the need to go into one back then because we had the commissary on base. We also didn't have kids who eat us out of house and home then either LOL. Aldi is also basically Trader Joe's estranged brother. The history is quite interesting, but they have similar, if not, carry some of the same products. To sum up Aldi, they offer great products at cheap prices (not always a predictable inventory), but they have the basics, you need a quarter for their shopping carts and bring the carts back yourself and bag your own groceries. If I can save some money, I'm willing to do a little work and I could probably use the extra steps on my Fitbit anyway. - Finds - Love the Chocolate Chip Brioche sliced loaf (great for french toast), a braided brioche chocolate chip loaf (it has custard pockets which are so good), sliced bread for 95 cents, salmon (fresh, never frozen), Pumpkin Spice stuff for the husband, cereal for the kids (half the price). So many things! Not gonna lie though, opening day was pretty overwhelming and I didn't spend nearly as much as I thought I would. I just couldn't focus with the madness of eager Aldi Nerds (that's what they call Aldi fans) loading up on groceries. Kristin and I navigated the store the best we could and picked up a few items, sampled a few things and headed out. I'll give it another week or so and let the joy of the opening soak in with everyone and return when I can hopefully browse the store with more focus.

Using a quarter to get and return shopping carts is a nice idea and ensures customers return carts.

We stopped at Stokes Produce as this stand seemed to have more variety. The other vendor was several hundred yards away at the opposite end of the market. We purchased Georgia peaches, sugar plums, a seedless watermelon and freshly fried BBQ pork rinds. A $21.00 purchase that they reduced to $20.00 upon request. Stokes Produce had a few dozen fruit and vegetables to choose from, boiled peanuts, hibiscus bushes and even sod for your lawn. When choosing a watermelon, the young lady working that stand taught me how to knock and what to listen for when picking a fresh melon. Georgia peaches and sugar plums were fresh and juicy. My daughter and I ate most of them on the drive home to Florida. She didn't care for the pork rinds, but I found them fresh and tasty. We haven't eaten the watermelon yet, so I cannot report on that. Polite and friendly staff - they answered all of my questions. A decent experience, but I expected more vendors. William E. Lewis Jr. Vero Beach, Florida.

Hi Everyone, What do…read morewe all hate to part with always? Money! Why? Because most of us needed it constantly in our American driven consumer (you & me) economy, daily. Ya know, the more the merrier, lol. What do most of us enjoy receiving? Value! Why? Because some of the time, it is in very short supply. Ergo, the American driven consumer (BtF, or Built to Fail) economy. But where can we consistently find value for less money? Ya know, like giving up less of what we don't want to part with (i.e. money) and more of what many of us enjoy receiving (e.g. value)? Walmart in Pooler GA, that's where. Yes, I realize that some of our experiences with Walmart may not have always been stellar. However, this is a FANTASTIC deal! What? Go on with your bad self! I'm here to tell ya, if you need tires, and want an outstanding installation, and if you are a Walmart + member, free lifetime (the tire, not yours) rotation, and balancing while receiving a very highly rated set of Goodyear Reliant All Season radials (low rolling resistance, quiet, good dry, wet traction, and light snow control, yea that one!) with a 65K mile warranty then Walmart in Pooler, GA be the place. How do I know? This is the tragic part of the this story, tears optional. Our Hybrid Avalon needed a new set of tires. Followed by, only two weeks later, our Prius needing three new tires because our only four year old set of Michelin Defenders which cost $928.00 complete w/tax and installation were starting to dry rot with only 28,000 miles on them and 7/32's tread left on them. Man, that's a lot of tread left! Yea, you're right! This is the same set of Michelin tires which had one tire blow out last April 2025 on Route 17 N outside Charleston, SC when I was driving to an Emergency room for treatment. Yea, and they only had about 23,000 miles on them then. What? Yep! Total cost of seven new tires installed w/lifetime balancing & rotation (Yea, Plus Member) $952.00 including tax. What, no way! Yea way, all day! But how was your customer service experience? Outstanding! Ben who checked me in was respectful. Kelsey who did the work on our Prius was very friendly, efficient and very polite. I have forgotten the Gentleman's name (I apologize), who installed our Avalon ties but he was terrific as well. And hey, I had a new experience at this Walmart in Pooler, GA Automotive department as they actually answer the telephone! Rare, I know, but they do. So let's add this up. 1. Seven Goodyear Reliant tires for about the cost of four Michelin Defender tires. 2. Good, competitive product, rated very close to the same quality based on performance. 3. Good customer service. 4. Installation time the same with appointment. 5. Five percent cash back on all Walmart purchases with Walmart One Pay CC, free lifetime tire rotation and balancing, Paramount + or Peacock subscription for free for a year as a Walmart + member. 5. And if these tires show dry rot in four years (Please Lord no), I certainly will feel a little better having paid very close to half the price! Conclusion: Yea, I'm good to go! And you can be too at Walmart in Pooler, GA, if your Glide Ride, needs tires. Enjoy!

I should have known it was going to be bad when he tried to order for two days and couldn't get through. He tried calling in an order on Friday for Saturday and after calling about 10 times he got a person and that person told him to call back on Saturday. On Saturday he called a bunch of times and finally got through. Ordered us a half-tray with an extra pound of shrimp added and two Maine lobster tails. This plus an $8 soup-sized container of garlic butter was $80. To our surprise when we got home we had about half a pound of shrimp in our tray. It's supposed to come with 1.5 pounds and then we added an extra pound for nearly $15, only to find out we had about 15 shrimp total. It was mostly potatoes with 6 ears of corn, and some sausage. We tried calling them about their mistake and they didn't care, just said sorry better luck next time. Really???? We definitely weren't about to drive another hour and a half to go get the missing items even if they offered, but we were hoping they would offer us a replacement next time or something. They just don't care. To top off the goat rodeo, when we got there there's a sign on the door saying cash only that their credit card machine was down. They were sending people to an ATM down the street which had a $8 withdrawal fee. And when you get there to pick up your order, there isn't a separate line to pick up pre-made orders, so we had to stand in line 25 minutes (took that lone to move 8 customers through) in order to pick up our incomplete order. My buddy who loves this place was bewildered at how small the shrimp were. He had picked this up once before and the shrimp were twice the size of what we got, small shrimp. And to top it all off, he told me how great, how sweet the shrimp were...they were not good. The skin was hard to peal and the flesh would come off with the skin....I've had better shrimp from Walmart. ' I will never spend my money here again. I would have been way better off going to a sit down seafood restaurant and it might have been cheaper. Definitely better and more accurate service.

This store in particular is fairly large with a pretty expansive format, but a lot of the merchandising left me confused. For instance, I was looking for lemonade, and I noticed that it is carried in 3 to 4 different locations across the produce juice and deli sections. It made it extremely frustrating trying to figure out whether or not they carried Milo's lemonade, which I eventually discovered they carried every milo's product except the lemonade??? Not really sure what the rationale behind that is given the lemonade is the most popular sku in the brand. Anyway, I digress. The second thing that I find a little challenging with Publix is understanding what the actual deals are standing at shelf. I couldn't really tell what was on sale, what wasn't and what the real values were. I'm assuming this information is probably buried in a sales flyer, which I probably need to pick up the next time. That being said, I found overall service in the store to be decent but even given the number of employees walking around in the store I don't think I've was ever really been greeted or offered help without asking first. Definitely a location and a brand that is going to have to grow on me.
