    My husband spotted Direct Tools Factory Outlet (DTFO) as we were making our way through that wing…read moreof the mall and he wanted to take a peek. Going into DTFO to me, I guess, was like when my husband goes into a shoe store with me LOL. DTFO is located in the Tanger Outlets in Pooler, in front of the Famous Footwear and the cornhole games (installed by the mall). The store seems pretty new. They must have opened during the pandemic? To be honest, we haven't been to Tanger Outlets very often during this past year due to COVID. - Service - There was one guy working and he was really nice. He made sure everyone was greeted, while cashing customers out. He asked me if I was waiting for "him" as he looked in my husband's direction. What gave that away? My standing by the door and posture? Haha. - The Goods - There is a lot of merchandise in the store, but they've done a great job of organizing and stacking the boxes as neatly as is possible with bulky and irregular sized items. The brands you will find the most in this store is Ryobi and Rigid. Visually, you'll see mostly fluorescent yellow (Ryobi) and orange (Rigid) colors. I saw other brands like Homelite, Powerfit and Powerstroke (no idea what these other brands are, just noting my observations). From what my husband told me, the prices are pretty good. There is one item in particular that he noticed was about $40 cheaper as compared to the big box hardware stores. And believe me, my man does his research so I would take his word for it. The guy told us that the same parent company that owns Ryobi and Rigid owns DTFO, so that is why they are able to slash the prices so low. - Additional Notes - *They offer a military discount with presentation of valid ID. *Return policy - no refunds. Exchange or store credit within 30 days of purchase. - COVID Observations - *The employee was wearing a mask. *Painter's tape has been taped to the floor by the cash area 6 ft away to serve as a guide for social distancing.     I really love this look. They take old, outdated dark furniture that no one wants and give it a new…read morelife, a new purpose - hence the term repurposed. My aunt told me she doesn't like white furniture. Well, so what? I do! It was uplifting to walk in and see it. I'll probably paint some of my furniture sage green, using their chalk paints available in the store. I've already bought paint from them. They are very relaxed, not pressuring you to buy. I've also bought some of their decor. It's definitely a niche boutique yet they are selling those pieces like hotcakes. I'm going to use Iron Orchid Designs on my furniture. I love this store.

There are a few beachy pieces and they do custom builds and painting. This store was AFFORDABLE! I wouldn't say cheap but I will say not an arm and a leg for anything. The staff was very friendly and helpful but doesn't follow you around or make you feel pressured. The items were so well made and looked beautiful. The unique thing about this store is they almost want you to DIY. They have ideas for crafty people and furniture for people who just want it here and now. They sale paints used in the store and as I said above if you have a piece of your own you'd like painted they will do that as well. This place is just so unique I will definitely be returning and I urge everyone to check it out! They have an app and a Facebook page and possibly a website.

    FORMAL COMPLAINT TO:…read more FAMILY DOLLAR OWNER FROM: CONCERNED CUSTOMER DATE: OCTOBER 3, 2023 RE: LACK OF CUSTOMER SERVICE Today, I was in your store at 1028 Hwy 80 W in Pooler, GA. Only two ladies were working; both ladies of Hispanic ethnicity because I could understand their language slightly. I have often loved and frequented this location in past months as it is closest to my residence. Something has changed with this store for the worst. It has always been disorganized but tolerable. Upon entering in the store, I could hear a lady hard cussing using language such as "FUCK, SHIT, DAMN" on several instances, numerous times and it was heard throughout the entire store as I walked the entire store. I continued to shop thinking it would end. The foul and profane language continued over and over again. I then walked down the isles to see who it was, it was the Lead Manager on duty in the Frozen Food Section complaining about what she was going to do with all the food that was delivered. You would think by seeing a paying customer in the store, she would stop. She continued to complain and cuss even more. It was a disgrace. It was disrespectful to my elderly mother that I had with me in the store. Then when the register scanner malfunctioned and the other young lady who worked in the store had to call her to assist; the lead manager's display of her frustrations was even more evident. That is when I decided that as a paying customer, I DID NOT have to endure such disrespectful and unprofessional behavior by her. She was sighing as if I was an inconvenience to her to have to come to fix the malfunctioning scanner. She said and I quote, "This shit done messed up my register". I kindly said to the cashier, it's okay. I will leave everything here and not make my purchase of $77. It was just that bad. People can have a bad day but as a Worker in the Family Dollar store, you must still maintain good customer service at all times. This letter may not mean much to you; the reader but I had to share my horrible experience. I will also post it on YELP, Facebook, Instagram and all other social media outlets because I am an Influencer within the community. Please look into this matter and make the change to better serve this community. In addition, I will write a letter to the Corporate Office for Family Dollar because this was the absolute WORST display of behavior to me and any other customer that was in the store. Your location is the absolute WORST display of Customer Service and I will NEVER return.
