I passed by staff and one walked past me. One staff member was low key staring when we exited the store. Idk, we didn't feel welcomed, didn't wanna shop there. Went around the corner and found a similar shop with much better service! Some will say it's ridiculous to not want to shop because we're not being greeted, however, being acknowledged feels like the minimum. Say shoplifting is an issue since it's right off the street, in my years of retail we were advised to give extra service to those we suspect - ask open ended questions, offer a basket, make small conversation and help them at the register. If you were wrong, the customer got good service and will recommend to others. If you were right, you detered theft. Seems simple enough!
