While a women's boutique and carrying a vast variety of clothing that I cannot really comment upon, I can say this: they seem to source from far and wide a very good selection of cute, classic-yet-cutting-edge, young-yet-proper, pieces that will delight most gals. The jewelry, however, is what caught my eye: adorable pieces such as one necklace in brass of a manatee carrying a wee star. Yes, you heard that right: a manatee carrying in his fins a star! Just adorable stuff like that, all of high quality, too. The staff is very friendly and we had a nice chat about SCAD and Savannah in general. I was walking along the prettiest street in Savannah with my son and crossed into a street where there were a lot of closed shops for Christmas Eve/Sunday I caught it a half hr before closing. Joyce Lynn was the lady helping us It's not my type of clothing- it's got a JCrew meets Ann Taylor feel at first But she's Friendly And talked to my kid- so i could shop I'm from Vegas- and i have a little waist with huge boobs and like sequins and flashy dresses- but i was able to find laid back- mom clothes. I'm heading to Naples beach on Tuesday so i bought these cute leggings with a jelly fish on them. Hot! Prices were reasonable They had some sick rings with the faces of Grace Jones Stevie wonder, Kurt Cobain, Michael Jackson painted on the ring itself they were so cool I was hoping that they had a George Michael ring but unfortunately the artist doesn't make George Michael oh man that would've been the best! I was visiting Savannah over the holidays and accidentally left my New Year's Eve outfit home. I was sent to Custard by another local shop owner and could not have been happier I came here! I ended up with TWO NYE outfits from Custard :) The boutique has a nice selection of dressy and casual women's clothes that appeal to many different styles. But overall I would say the style is chic comfort, lots of high quality but comfortable fabrics and cuts. There is also a great hand made jewelry selection. The owner, Tara, really gave me 5-star service. I told her I needed a NYE outfit and she got to work pulling dresses for me. She grabbed items I NEVER would've have tried on, but those ended up being what I bought! She spent about an hour helping me try stuff on and assisting, she made it so much better than the typical shopping experience. I left with some awesome pieces I'll be wearing for a long time. Now I just need to figure out how to get back to Savannah to shop here again! read more

We were visiting from Charlotte, and this adorable boutique was close to the house where we were residing. It featured a nicely styled environment, complete with vintage music and sales associates who were very knowledgeable about the lines. These two young ladies were also friendly and welcoming without that hint of snobbery you get a dose of in some boutiques. I found a pair of shorts that happened to be on sale, and a sweet unicorn tee shirt that was made by a local artist. My friend bought a blue bracelet which had a hint of shimmer. The only downfall? The owner quickly responded back to me with information on how the shirt fit, and assured me that if it didn't work they would take care of me. I ADORE this shop! It's one of my new go-to spots! The staff is super friendly and very willing to help you pull looks, open jewelry cases and tell you the whole spiel behind the eco-friendly, biodegradable, planet saving, organic-ness of all the pieces in the joint. There's a large selection of clothing and jewelry, some shoes and a whole lot of charm. The place is a little pricey. My favorite new piece of jewelry came from there and I absolutely ADORE it, but it took a little soul searching to meet their prices for a necklace. HOWEVER, it was TOTALLY worth it! This place was quite a walk from historic savannah and river street, but I really enjoyed their eclectic style. Clothing was pricey, but they had a very cool variety of handmade jewelry. We stumbled in here while we were sightseeing one afternoon. The boutique had fun items and both women were very helpful. My husband was told about the "man chair" which was nice for him. This store. OMG this store. I am in love. First of all, it's adorable, welcoming, and the moment you walk in, you know you're going to hit the jackpot. Upon entering earlier today I saw a huge display of la mer watches to my left, beautiful clothing lining both walls and visually appealing displays throughout the middle of the shop. I was immediately struck by a dress that I soon learned was completely handmade by a local designer - Mamie Ruth. It was an adorable high neck open back maxi, also available in a mini and created using different color combos. Well, the dress happened to fit me like a glove (and I am a huge stickler when it comes to fit) so there was no way I was leaving this shop empty-handed. Custard also carries lines like Amanda Uprichard, Joy Joy, All Black, and Funktional (just to name a few). The styles are fashion-forward, eclectic, but with classic pieces mixed in - and nothing boring to speak of. The two sales associates working the floor during my visit were extremely helpful and personable, and didn't make me (or the bf who patiently waited in a comfy, strategically placed "man chair") feel uncomfortable in the least. They gave me their opinions, without being overbearing, and didn't pressure me to buy anything. With a background in boutique retail, I am extremely sensitive to customer service and creating an unpretentious atmosphere, and the staff at Custard exceeded all my expectations. I'm currently giddy over my new Mamie Ruth dress and cannot wait to wear it and be the envy of my friends. I love the few and far between boutiques where you can find unique jewelry with meaning. Not only did I find fabulous, different jewelry (I got a necklace made if of a 19th century wax seal with a description card!) but I also got the opportunity to meet Tara, the owner of the store. There is no doubt that Tara is passionate about what she sells, but she also takes the time to listen to what you're looking for. The store didn't have the type if bracelet I was looking for so she gladly referred me to another local boutique. The ladies here are beyond incredible! I am from California, and saw a dress online that I liked from one of their blogs (from about a year ago)... knowing my chances were slim to none, I decided to give the store a call. A lovely lady named Tara searched for the blog post and told me that the dress was on sale!
