WALMART I REALLY don't understand you!!!!! I NEVER thought I would need to write a review on Walmart.... WHY??? Bec who doesn't go to Walmart lol even when you don't NEED to go to Walmart BUT here we are!! This location in my opinion is kind of hidden BUT it does have some GREAT finds and that what drew me to this location but customer service eh not so great!! Let me come back AROUND to that statement in a bit As your well aware of SPACIOUS parking lot as well as little store gathered around with new shops being built so it's quite a cute location. The store is clean and organized and that for me is AWESOME and it's peaceful YES peaceful because like I said it's a out of the way location. Ok here we go... there is a type of feeling in the air that for me I just don't like. I have been to this location several times thinking just maybe it was me and it's always the same experience. Now knowing that Walmart experiences multiple thefts it can be quite understandable that they are on guard but when employees blatantly stand IN FRONT of you as you ring up your food and ONLY specific type of people it is TRULY disheartening and frustrating for me as a patron. When they allow certain people to go pass them at the exit BUT always manage to stop you and people who are of a type of persona it becomes a matter of profile. I am disappointed because my family and I normally LOVE Walmart and have been frequenting it for MANY years. I will say get it together Walmart and DO BETTER! We live in a world where there is diversity and we MUST set examples for EVERYONE!

FAUX PRETZELS, no wonder they look perfect.

The Burlington Coat Factory of yesteryear is gone. I attended the wake for the Wonderland location…read moreearly last week. The once three-floor mammoth department store had been reduced to one floor with four itty bitty racks of ladies coats, one size per side. It was an incredibly weak selection, maybe thirty coat choices per size. It was shocking and unexpected and I felt a part of my soul float away. I am in a frantic tizzy over finding a coat for a trip this fall and no one in San Antonio is taking my needs seriously!!! When I shared the news with my mom, she insisted we try the Southside Burlington location. I wasn't interested in trekking across the city to be horrified at the death of my childhood ALL OVER AGAIN, but eventually desperation won and we headed on over. This was my first time at this locale and, let me say, it's not at all what I expected. You walk into a huge one-floor space with racks upon racks upon racks staged in a thrift store arrangement. The lights are eerily dim and the masses have gone in on an early Saturday and picked over and poked at all the wares. Things are not where they should be and that means you have to go in with a willingness to jump right in to the picking game. But there's something lurking in between the size mediums in the middle of the size 1xs. It's a little something I like to call a "successful shopping trip." When I walked in, I saw a fit, middle-aged man trying on a puffy orange jacket and using what I'd later call the "community mirror" to check his choice out. Without thinking twice I complimented him and said, "That's the one!" I walked past him to my coat section, tried one on, and walked over to the community mirror. I heard a man with his family call out, "That looks great! You should get that one!" I thanked him and commented on what an incredibly supportive community this was. After an hour of rifling through racks, trying on coats, parading to the community mirror, and snapping selfies, I had come to a decision--a decision that would only cost me 40 bucks! My mom, who had come along for the ride, had also found a 50-dollar coat for herself. We took our luck into the rest of ladies' apparel and walked out with 15-dollar sweaters, 11-dollar dresses, our less-than-60-dollar coats, and even a 12-dollar Halloween costume for our favorite dog! This new iteration of Burlington Coat Factory was shocking, and if you don't have the stomach for change, you should just stay away. BUT if you love hunting for a good deal and have a penchant for the kind of picking that places like Ross, Marshall's, and T. J. Maxx promise, you are going to love the new BCF. Four stars for great deals, great service, and a warm and friendly shopping community!

I came here to find a pack of T-shirt's for my kiddo and what a mess. Everywhere in this store…read moreis not touched or "picked up" empty spaces everywhere and even their jewelry area has old and dusty displays. Of course, I'm not blaming staff; that is on management. They see what we see and if they are ok with that, then I will drop it lol *Displaying product is an important selling point. It was a bit frustrating seeing all these registers but no people. Some times it's open upstairs until the men's section (that's if the clerks are hiding in the back (made eye contact and she literally walked backwards into her closet. I knew the bottled water left by the register was hers, so she had to come back soon, right? Customer then tells me that there's no Hope waiting upstairs and to go to the main check out line. Never forget the make up/ perfume reps that could (and have) rung us up, but suddenly, they were quick to say no unless it's their specific product. (They were doing nothing-no customers) In the end, we came to the main floor. Waited. Watching employees ring up. Send customers away. Hear them gossip a few minutes until some one *coughs* then snaps back to going about their actual professional business. I reckon, it we are going to have a one stop check out spot, let's just get it done. If break are needed go, but please don't just stand there, doing nothing... talking to your colleague, when there's a plethora of customers waiting.
