Great customer service and just a little smaller than your typical Macy's.

If you've ever…read morewondered what shopping might have been like decades ago, this is a fun place to experience a little bit of that nostalgia. I stopped by on a Sunday afternoon, and there was plenty of parking in the large lot. It wasn't too crowded, which made it easy to take my time exploring. One of the first things I noticed was all the classic cars parked outside from different eras--they definitely added to the vintage atmosphere. Inside, the store has several sections featuring SAS shoes, along with a small old-fashioned snack counter offering popcorn, candy, and sodas. The prices were a fun surprise--popcorn was just 25¢, and I believe the soda was only 5¢. In today's world where everything seems to cost more every week, it was a nice little throwback. Beyond the shopping, I enjoyed looking at all the vintage appliances and memorabilia throughout the store. It was interesting to see how much things have changed over the years and appreciate how far we've come. The staff was friendly, and there were plenty of shoe sales happening during my visit. Whether you're shopping for comfortable shoes, love vintage memorabilia, or just want to spend a little time somewhere unique, SaS General Store is a charming stop that's worth checking out.

Apparently they are all cobbled by shoe elves, on site, and you can even book factory tours. The place looks like an Old Timey Costco-esque General Store. It's quite large! They offer other items besides shoes here as well. Toys, clothing, candles, jams, jellies, syrups and snacks. They have little baskets filled with different candy, that you can then fill up a bucket with, for a set price. There are employees walking around, waiting to assist you. They also have a collection of vintage automobiles scattered about the property that you can admire. My favorite part was the .25 cent fountain Coke, and the .5 cent bag of popcorn, which is seasoned to perfection. It seems a lot of people come for that experience alone. That was my reason for coming, thanks to the countless videos I have seen on TikTok and IG. Overall, this is a pretty cool place to come and experience firsthand. It's definitely a destination place though, because it is a little off the beaten path. We actually drove about 25 minutes from where we live. But, it was a fun experience. I forgot to mention that they also have an ice cream counter inside, but it was closed the day we went. I will definitely come back for the Coke and popcorn though, and hopefully some ice cream.

I have a screenshot of the day those same managers said I didn't show up for a shift without calling. Why? Well the stock lead didn't relay the message and to cover her ass the bosses want to leave it on my record that I just didn't show up. I even explained and brought this to the GM attention and he said it's okay I'll talk to Iris, but yet their still leaving it on record making me look bad. It's not fair especially when I am a good employee. I'm going to leave the screenshot below. Even worst if the lines are ever long don't expect that much help because the GM told me himself that him or his managers don't belong on a register so if your ever wondering why you can't get help you know why. He also love to change your schedule without any heads up but if your late or don't show they will put it on you. This is the Ross I started at and regret coming to this store. It's not ran the way it should be. Good managers help their team when they're in need of help, any managers who doesn't think like that shouldn't be a manager. Someone who sits in the office and doesn't help the closing team when their already getting out at 2 in the morning. It's ridiculous. They want to slave drive you and want you to bend when they need but won't help you run a hummer or anything. I'm so over and done with this place. They're not worth the stress.

The shirt's design is guaranteed for life. If one falls off, you send in the shirt and they replace the lost crystal for free. I was impressed with this little shop. It's nice finding a boutique with clothes that fit all sizes. Most things they carry have Swarvoski crystals on it. I found a pair of yoga pants for $320.00 with Swarvoski crystals around the band on on the leg, and t-shirts around 50.00. The tshirts are high quality shirt that can easily be worn as sweaters, for the most part. Tank tops with crystals worn casually or under jackets. They have jackets that are crazy high dollar as well. Purses and belts, that I didn't check the price. The owners are really nice and helpful. There is a large dressing room. I tried on a tunic sweater with crystals I almost bought. The clothing is well made. The sweater I bough has crystals at the neckline and also on the sleeves. It is work wearable (I dress up for work, but not too dressy), or it can be worn with jeans. It is made by Christine Alexander. They have belts by Tony Rama. They carry shoes that I didn't get the designer's name. They have so much more in their store than on the website. Very happy with this little store. When I come back through, I'll be checking in there to see what else they have. I've said it thousands of times. Why by a knock off when you can buy the real thing? I went into the next store and saw them ironing on crystal like transfers. I'd rather pass on that. Silver Spur has the real thing, and the guarantee to go along with it. Why buy less quality?

There is history all over the walls, and you can see this is a beloved family run institution. That immediately made me feel good. Everyone in the store is also extremely friendly and helpful, the service is top notch. I had signed up for an appointment for a fitting, and I had a very specific suit color in mind (dark hunter green). I knew this wasn't the most common color for a suit, and I was a little nervous because I've never been through the tailoring experience before. Matt came over and walked me through everything, he helped me pick out not only the suit that is perfect for what I was looking for but he also helped me find a shirt, tie, belt and shoes. He was with me every step of the way. My suit had to be ordered and altered since it's not a common off the rack color, the team at Penner's kept in touch with me the whole time. I never had any doubt that I was in good hands, and any questions I had were answered fully. The price for everything was also extremely fair in my opinion. I fully endorse Penner's if you're looking for suits, clothes, shoes or anything else wearable. There's a big selection, and it's not just suits they also have just about anything for men's wear. A great selection, and a family owned business. I feel very fortunate to have Penner's in town and I will be back!

While in San Antonio for a conference, my beau wandered into Villa Tesoros, tucked inside a downtown collective of women-owned businesses. What he found was more than just a boutique--it's a curated celebration of craftsmanship, filled with unique clothing, jewelry, and leather goods that feel personal, not mass-produced. Described as relaxed and inviting, the shop leans into that "take your time and discover" energy. Think carefully selected pieces that tell a story--items you don't just buy, but keep. He came back with two standouts: * A beautiful pocket mirror that now lives in my everyday bag (practical and chic--love that for me) * A pair of handwoven earrings that already have a place in rotation--especially with my woven Missoni Converse for a full textured moment YE Gurl says: Villa Tesoros is the kind of boutique that makes gift-giving feel intentional. Whether you're shopping for yourself or trusting someone else to bring a piece of it home to you, expect thoughtful, well-crafted finds that actually mean something.

They are inspired in part by Georgia O'Keefe and you can feel that minimalist but warm influence in the store. I bought a small home goods item and they gave me a free zine on mental health. You could tell this place is a true passion project of the owners and when back in town, or online, I plan to support them!
