I had an amazing experience with Penner's when I needed a suit for my upcoming wedding…read more When you first walk into Penner's you immediately get the impression of a store that knows exactly what it is doing, and trying to be. There is history all over the walls, and you can see this is a beloved family run institution. That immediately made me feel good. Everyone in the store is also extremely friendly and helpful, the service is top notch. I had signed up for an appointment for a fitting, and I had a very specific suit color in mind (dark hunter green). I knew this wasn't the most common color for a suit, and I was a little nervous because I've never been through the tailoring experience before. Matt came over and walked me through everything, he helped me pick out not only the suit that is perfect for what I was looking for but he also helped me find a shirt, tie, belt and shoes. He was with me every step of the way. My suit had to be ordered and altered since it's not a common off the rack color, the team at Penner's kept in touch with me the whole time. I never had any doubt that I was in good hands, and any questions I had were answered fully. The price for everything was also extremely fair in my opinion. I fully endorse Penner's if you're looking for suits, clothes, shoes or anything else wearable. There's a big selection, and it's not just suits they also have just about anything for men's wear. A great selection, and a family owned business. I feel very fortunate to have Penner's in town and I will be back!

New location, new review!…read more Chic'tique is my favorite boutique in all San Antonio! I've been a loyal customer for five years and the owner is the sweetest human in the whole world. This shop is women and latina-owned, and they carry a very limited selection of items that you can't find anywhere else. Every time I wear something from Chic'tique I get stopped and people will ask me where I got it from? The owner takes so much pride on making sure everything that is at the store is unique and of great quality. She is always adding new brands and items. They recently moved to a new location in the Broadway area acoss from Central Market. I love this location because even though is more intimate, the changing room and the vibe is so much better. I would highly recommend to follow their Instagram for updates on new items. Since she carries such a limited quantity I recommend getting whatever you like ASAP because she sells out really fast. That has always been a great fear for me when working their consignment stores/sites. They are professional at displaying and advertising my pieces, and able to showcase the best plausible side of the items. One of my recent item that was sold -- I have had it for a few years, but I never knew it can look THAT great until I saw it in pictures that were posted online! Most importantly, the turnaround time for the few pieces I have sold so far is very fast. It typically takes over a week for pieces to appear on other consignment sites/platform, but they are able to showcase them in a few days. I'm so glad San Antonio has MOSS as a local consignment store, and am very pleased with the service provided!

There are similar stores around the city but having one so close to home is fantastic. They sell BarbacoApparel shirts (my favorite local brand!), fiesta medals, stickers, jewelry, and Consuela purses. I absolutely adore Consuela purses, so knowing I can buy one here instead of online is such a treat. The one girl managing the shop was very nice (and she was wearing a mask, so props to her for being courteous enough, whether she's trying to keep shoppers from getting sick or prevent herself from getting sick, either way, I respect that), and she was in the process of surveying the store on how to set up the incoming Fiesta merch, post-Holiday stock. We chatted briefly, and overall I just love how uniquely "puro San Antonio" this shop is. In a world where large corporations are thriving, this local shop is a breath of fresh air.
