I bought four pieces, which is rather rare for when it comes to vintage shopping, for me at least. Many vintage stores nowadays sell primarily 90/Y2K but the items I bought went back to the 50s. The items here are clean, pressed and repaired. The prices are fair considering the condition. They do have some pricier pieces ($150 for Navy bell bottoms) but the quality is great. I had been searching for weeks all over San Antonio and was desperate to find something special! When I walked in, I was greeted by a kind employee and I explained to her my situation. She pulled 5 dresses in my size and immediately got me in a dressing room. The whole experience was quick and easy and I was extremely relieved (considering the party was in less than 24 hours). What a wonderful and unique shopping experience! The staff was so personable (without being intimidating or intrusive) from the minute we walked in. It felt like we had been friends forever. Our four young boys were with us and they were treated like family too. The sweet sales person stooped down to eye level to my youngest (age 3) and gently took the time to explain to him 'why' he should not touch the guitar that was propped against the wall (not just admonishing him for touching it - good teachable moment done with love and respect). Then she followed that up by giving him (and the other kids) a coloring book! What a darling thing to do! The store was covered in unique artwork, jewelry, accessories and finds you don't see in other places. I enjoy a colorful whimsical aesthetic, it was like walking into HAPPY LAND! And oh! my! gosh! The baby & children's clothes are to die for! What a perfect place to come for a gift! We learned about some new womens athleisure & womens clothing items she has in the works. I will be absolutely be back to check them out. They do carry an extensive collection of Meileg dollhouse items. This makes me wish I was 5 again. Our little ones were in wonder (as I was) taking in the experience of the store, but were very careful to look and not disturb. I know it's so difficult to keep a boutique going in this day and age were people want to buy everything online, but what would we do if we didn't get to actually see and enjoy these treasures in person any more? What fun would life be then? I think it's important to visit your local businesses and help out where you can. We learned Iva Style is also a woman owned business, and I commend her for making it through Covid. Hopefully the rest of the Artisans Alley will soon come back to life. It does look like its had a few hits but WE all carry some economic power to help bring these fun places back to their former glory. Its a perfect place to go have a girls day (my husband enjoys too) without having to drive all the way to Boerne or Fredericksburg. I would say that this just isn't the place for me, but I actually found some cute coasters for a friend's housewarming present and a pair of earrings for myself. By the time I got home, the earrings broke- I had to use krazy glue to get a gemstone back on, and then the first time I wore them, the post fell off the actual earring! It was children's quality jewelry with a grown-up $18 price tag. If I didn't live across the country, I would have gone back for a refund.

I talked to the clerk who said the line was wrapped around the building this morning prior to opening at 10am. Must've been around 200 people!! Well-organized into sections such as dresses, blouses, shirts, leggings & athletic wear, pants, shorts, some belts, hats & purses. Mostly designer names. Alba checked me out after probably a 20-minute wait in the line. She was bubbly & told me about the business & if I had any questions. They take in items for you to sell as well. The items I took in were clean and wrinkle free, all were designer labels, in pristine condition, many had only been worn a handful of times. As I waited to be helped I wandered around the store to see if I might want to take a store credit to be able to get more money for the clothes I was selling. I am not exaggerating, I would not have purchased one item I saw and believe me, I had plenty of time to look! The girl who looked at my clothes to buy just wadded my clothes up rather than put them back the way she received them. I could not say enough negative things about this dump. Don't waste your time!

I used to work very close to this place, and always wondered about it. Recently, I made a short…read moretrip to visit and explore. I really liked it. For those that do not know, Homestead Handcrafts sells handmade crafts and antiques, similar to Craftique. Each owner aligns their locale with their vision and sets their sale items to be peruse independently . Although, I have a similar spot in my area, refer to the above Craftique, I found Homestead Handcraft to be charming, with some pieces that peaked my interest. It is not cheap, but there were some worthwhile deals to be made and a great many collector items. It is worth a second visit for me.
