Can you get a more diverse crew? Every time we come into this location these white ladies that work there do not greet people of color it seems like. I was in the military for over 21 years and it baffles me that there are young women who are still racist that work in stores like this location. I love free people stores, I've seen other stores on the West coast who have friendly customer service. Please train your folks and get a more diverse crew. Also let y'all know minorities have money and not all of us steal. lol This location needs better management to make it more inviting!!!! read more

The employees at this "boutique" were racist towards my family and I because we were speaking Spanish. They did not even attempt to help me look for the sizes of clothing I was needing. I had to go back and forth from the changing room to find what I was looking without any help from these employees, who just kept looking at us. I was planning to buy a $300 item from here, but had to leave because the employee and the manager with the head tattoos threatened to call the police. I will not ever buy this brand of clothing and will insure I will share my experience with the corporate office of this establishment. read more

The customer service was ok and the brand itself is good but as for the manager she has a horrible attitude and is racist. As I'm looking at the other comments I can see it's a common thing.Her attitude is as ugly as her,she makes comments about her purchasing customers. So honestly I would not shop here unless you want to be talked about to the other employees even though your paying for stuff in there store.She talked about a African American lady in the store even though the customer was right behind her.The lady ended up buying 3 out of 5 things.The manager made a comment saying "what did she buy 1 thing" as a pedestrian who was also there and was also shopping there I thought it was extremely rude and if it was me I would have took matters into my own hands.I did a favour for the poor lady and made a call to corporate. read more

Free People is something I love to garner inspirational stylings from. Whenever I come back to SA I try to pop into the store to see some of their boho/hippy clothes in person and always have a good time. The staff is always pretty eager to help you start a fitting room or answer any questions. They are always dressed in such style and I totally appreciate their feedback on putting together an outfit! This location is one of the smaller ones I have been to and their sale rack is also lacking. However, I heard they are planning on expanding the store this year! The customer service was very upsetting. Heard two body shaming comments while my friend and I stopped in. One girl tried on a body suit and the employee made a remark to her & said "yeah that doesn't look good on every body type" since the girl was curvy. Then my friend grabbed a random pair of jeans that said '37' and she asked "if it says 37 does that mean it's a size 7?" From the fun and boho decor to the friendliest staff at LaCantera... the drive from Cibolo is worth it just to shop at THIS store!! I pop in about once a month and I always leave happy whether I made a purchase or not. I love the clothes but hate the customer service. The staff is always always always too busy chit chatting with each other to pay any attention to their customers. I never am greeted when I walk into this store nor do I get a goodbye or thank you when I leave. It's such a small store so you can't say that you didn't see me come in and out! It's not like the clothes here are cheap, they're actually quite pricey but you'd get better service at the gap or old navy. Like I said I like the line of clothing but hate this store, luckily nordstroms carries a lot of this line so I can officially avoid this store. The decor of Free People is the kind of stuff I dream of. I love the hanging decorations, and during the holidays it is even more beautiful with crafty wreaths and glittery stuff everywhere. I had the best shopping experience I've ever had with Free People at this location a few weeks ago. I normally shop at the Downtown Austin location, and although nothing is wrong with it, the girls at the SA Free People really seemed to want to be here - they were so friendly, were greeting everyone, and offered to prepare dressing rooms before you have the chance to ask (in a good way, not a pushy way). Additionally, they were super friendly throughout the whole checkout process. I love my New Years' dress (Originally $130, marked down to $60, an additional discount off that meant I walked out paying $45 for a beautiful reversible dress) and I think these girls all do really well! read more

Awesome!!!!!!! What a great shopping experience. I've been to Free People stores all over the country and this is one of my favorites. I wish they had a bigger selection, but it is one of the smallest locations. You do however have the option to order things from another store or online and have them shipped to you. Natalie is one of the sales associated there and she is great! She offered me and my husband fresh cold water on a hot day too and had some great recommendations. All the girls are so stylish and upbeat. I wish I lived closer so I could stop in more often! read more

Be ready to spend big here. I love coming here to see all the great clothes they have. It's all bohemian/hippie style. They expanded the store a few months back so they have a bigger clearance room, more dressing rooms, a section just for lingerie, and a bigger sales floor. Much easier to shop here now! However, their selection is quite limited compared to what they have online. Customer service is a hit or miss. Some employees are very friendly and will give you awesome styling advice...while others hang out behind the register and ignore you, and on occasion I've gotten some snobby attitude from the employees. They have such cool decor and all the items are displayed beautifully. There sales and promotions are limited to holidays. read more
