Lots of other restaurants near too. Helps shop many things in same location. They had a McDonalds inside . Kids like it but there were very less people to help ! Walmart is huge . Lots of good stuff . College and sports jerseys were good . Not many on sale though. Bought some food / fruit and other basic items . Priced good . Billing could be better . Experience at Walmart (970 Mansell Rd) My visit to the Walmart on 970 Mansell Rd left me completely drained and disappointed. What should have been a straightforward tire return turned into one of the worst customer service experiences I've ever had. When I first walked into the automotive side, I spoke with Roderick, the automotive manager. The very first thing he told me was that he could not return the tires. Instead of offering any solutions or basic courtesy, he simply dismissed me. He didn't even mention something as simple and obvious as using a buggy to transport the four heavy tires--something that should have been his first thought when seeing a woman clearly struggling. Because I wasn't given proper direction, I carried all four tires around the building to the customer service side at the front of the store. There, I was met by Anna, who repeatedly told me to take the tires back to automotive. She never once consulted a manager, and so I wasted time and energy moving the tires again, only to be rejected once more by Roderick. When Anna briefly came to automotive herself, Roderick acknowledged her, but still did not resolve the situation. Once she left, he told me he could no longer help. This left me bouncing back and forth between automotive and customer service, carrying heavy tires with no one taking responsibility. Back at customer service, Anna still refused to involve a manager. The only time the staff showed any urgency was when I asked Jeff, the front lead, to escalate to a store manager. Eventually, Robert, another store manager, came over and immediately worked with me. However, it was only once Robert was present that Anna suddenly rushed back with my receipt--something she could have provided from the beginning. Throughout this experience, I realized the core issue isn't just individual employees, but the store's culture under the head manager, Carlos. The staff do not collaborate, they lack accountability, and they don't show the most basic values of customer service. Their actions (and inactions) reflect a management problem at the top, which explains why no one beneath him takes initiative to help. Key Issues 1. Roderick (Automotive Manager): Dismissive, unhelpful, and did not offer obvious assistance (like suggesting a buggy for the tires). 2. She came up to us & asked us what we had scanned, we gladly showed her & she went on to take the steak out cause she thought we swapped it out for something else. ??? The employees that work here are fantastic. So friendly and nice. The store itself is...another story. It could use a bit of work. There never seems to be enough people working here and the lines can get long checking out...still they do keep the shelves stocked pretty good and the place as clean as possible. Everytime I'm in here the store is packed so I imagine with not enough staffing it can be difficult to keep everything in tip top shape. But I think they do a good job for what they're given. This Wally has a Micky D which I really like. My two favorite places stacked into one like Russian nesting dolls...love it!! There is a Chase Bank as well as a Moe's in a small little shopping strip right before you get out on Mansell. A few miles up the street is North point mall so the location is fantastic. If only I could give this 0 stars. Before you even walk in, you're treated like a thief, everything is in a cage. If you want something, be prepared to wait 45 minutes for a nonexistent employee to maybe deign to go find someone. I visited this Walmart on Mansell during the virus situation. When you enter, there are plenty of shopping carts, but they don't provide any sanitizer wipes for you to wipe down the cart handle. The store was well-organized, and I was able to find everything on my shopping list. They even had a very small quantity of toilet tissue available for purchase. I interacted with two team members. They were both courteous and helpful. All of the team members I saw were wearing masks. Being that this is the closest Walmart to my house, I'm sure I'll be back again in the future. read more

It's super duper rare that I ger to visit this location because it is over 30 miles away from me but from time to time if I am in Alpharetta I make it a point to stop in here. I had been to a restaurant in the area and decided to make a run here before heading home. The place is pretty much always neat and accessible. I had to pick up some neccesities. This location has an abundance of coupons called peelies and hangtags on the merchandise. I was happy to get a deal. This location is run terribly! The curbside pick up service literally ruined my car trunk by releasing over 40 ounces of liquid soap into it. No one calls when I dial the store. And an online order that was supposed to be delivered by this store wasn't simply because the driver decided not to make the delivery. I am still trying to get a refund for the items that I was charged for! On one visit I literally saw a Walmart employee & a customer shouting at each other at the entrance. They started to get into a boxing match with each other!! What the hell is going on with this place?!? Absolutely the WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! I wanted to purchase food and baby supplies for my family using a Walmart e-gift card on 3/20/21 around 8pm. I printed the gift cards from a computer and gave them to the cashier. The cashier told me a supervisor has to approve them because they aren't working. First the supervisor said, "if the cards don't work we don't override them." I asked what should I do next? I have $125 in Walmart gifts card that I can't use. The supervisor said "I don't know, call 1-800-Walmart." I did that and was told the cards are active. I asked if there was another supervisor that could help? I was told no. The supervisor then told me, "we don't accept those, there's nothing we can do" and told the cashier to go on break. They both left me at the register without completing the transaction. 12 people in line for regular checkout is a common issue at THIS location. Not the case with many other Walmart's. Never more than 1 lane open. Customer Service says "Wish we could call someone to open another lane" but they can't. Store manager should run a checkout lane if they have staffing issues. Rarely has things in stock, boxes legitimately everywhere, it does not say anything about customer service closing at any time but I went in a quarter till eight and they were closing. I had asked the lady I needed to return an item so I could buy another one, responded with attitude and an eye roll that they were closed. I came into this store to purchase a deep freezer. The store website says this location (970 mansell road) had 2 available for instore purchase only (Arctic King 5 cu ft Chest Freezer .) I spoke with 4 different associates and not one helped me locate the item on the sales floor or checked the back to see if it was in stock. Instead of a deep freezer I ended up purchasing what I found on my own, which was a mini refrigerator. This was not what I originally wanted, but I had no choice since the associates didn't help me find what I needed. I also went to the customer service counter to request for someone to accompany me to my car to put the refrigerator in my car. The product was almost 50 lbs, and considered heavy for a small framed women. No one came to assist me, so I had to struggle and lift this item in the car on my own. This walmart is terrible and has gotten worse. Needed some stick on bows for presents. Wife said she could not find them, (With the current economic situation we have spot outages around here, thanks Joe). so found them at walmart and ordered 2 bags for pickup. Now the plan was to go to walmart and pickup some Gifts for grandkids and pick up the bows on the way out the door. After getting $250 of stuff she went to checkout and I went to customer service for the bows. Well guess what, they no longer allow you to pickup online orders inside. Please note, it does not say that anywhere on the web site. So I go out the the online pickup area and call the number on the sign to check in. after a 2 minute message it says you have to use the walmart app. then goes to a full voicemail box. WTF? So you have to use their app to get what was called an instore pickup? I am 100% this is NOT a walmart corp policy. So back to the wife. She checked out in the self checkout line, but these are gifts for family in another state so she wants gift receipts. Walmart does not allow you to get gift receipts at teh self checkout. Their solution? Go to customer service and refund the order and ring it up a second time! They will give you gift receipts then... I asked to speak to a manager that did not really give a f$%k. So when they were done refunding $260+ of stuff, I said thanks, we are done here. We left that hell hole with our money and they had to restock their stuff. I went to this Wal-Mart last week , and I was racially profiled by a courtesy clerk. Other clerks in the store witnessed it, and they were all very apologetic. The younglady that did it turned around , and walked away. I asked for the store manager , and none were available at the time. An assistant manager finally shows up , and I explained what happened to him. The other two clerks that witnessed it verified my story as well. He took my information down , and told me that someone would be calling me to discuss the incident. I never received the call. I took it upon myself to return to the store to follow up today. After about a 45min wait I was finally able to talk to a manager. I was told by him that the incident was never reported . YOU DEFINITELY NEED A GOOD BARKER! I remember shopping at this store when I first relocated to Georgia. It has definitely taken a step forward starting with a remodel. It is more spacious and better organized. The employees are very visible and accessible if you need assistance. I really just ran in today to grab a couple of things but was quickly drawn to the grapes. Now, as a rule, I no longer purchase produce at Walmart because the quality is just not consistent. But the price was $1.87 and they looked fresh and firm. As I got closer, I could tell that the grapes were at their peak and so I purchased a bag. Good call! They were sweet, firm and delicious! Mmmm! The one thing that is apparent with Walmart is that instead of greeters, they need barkers. They need a team whose sole responsibility is to keep the check-out lines moving by directing people as needed. This can only be done with appropriate staffing levels. Also a store of this size should always be staffed at both entrances as a matter of convenience. Even though the managers attempt to address the problem, it is always after the fact. They need to be pro-active and address issues before they become problems. You can always anticipate a problem if you have several of your employees scheduled for lunch at the same time. Just be mindful of this: It is now back-to-school season and families are starting to shop early which means congestion and long lines. You may want to consider shopping very early or very late in order to avoid the frustration. read more

I mean, its Walmart. It generally has everything you need. Food, clothes, medicine, electronics... you get the picture. Who hasn't been to Walmart? Most Walmart's I've been to have what you need, don't have great customer service. This one however was the absolute worst!!! Let's start off with just walking up. 2 employees are sitting there chatting it up. They hoot and laugh until they have wrapped up their conversation. Then SURPRISE!!!! 'Can I help you?' I don't know if anyone has seen Bon Qui Qui on YouTube but this was pretty much the Walmart version of that. The look on their faces was like they were irritated with me giving them a reason to work. I explain my issue and this woman is staring at me like "when is this woman going to leave?" Anyway, these people call the manager so that they can check records for me or something, she comes over and she looked like she had a problem with me more so than the other lady. She would talk to me but wouldn't even look me in the eye. I would totally understand if she was busy trying to look up something or occupied trying to do something else, but at least when you talk to them take the time to look them in the eye or get out of customer service. First off no prices are listed on 25% of the items, then when you go to try to find someone to tell you what the prices on it no one is there at 4pm on a Tuesday.... then when I finally find a price checker machine it does not work so I unplug it and plug it back in waited five minutes and it worked finally found the price that was twice what it was when I went there two days ago..... Holy unprofessional! So for starters, I was in line at the money center for about an hour (which was odd, wasn't the 1st - 5th). The woman running the center's name was Lois. Lois is one of the most unprofessional people I think I've ever come across. Also, the rudest. Long story short, I was picking up money (from my father), my middle and last name have changed from my birth name for obvious reasons, but he still likes to put my old last name on things to further show his dissaprovement. So, I bring my name change document from the state (it's sealed & everything) with me to this location to pick up money, because last time I tried to use my old ID and I got it, but it didn't go too smoothly. Well, sweet Lois didn't even read the paper. She just started flailing it around screaming, "This just proves that you've had four years to change your name on your license, and you haven't, this doesn't mean anything." False. If you could read, you'd see that I have had it changed & that's the problem On top of that, it's been two years. Not four. She was SO LOUD and unprofessional (in front of EVERYBODY), and if you're going to be both loud and unprofessional, at least know what you're talking about. She was literally so rude, and I was being extremely nice and quiet. People were staring and I actually got pretty upset and embarrassed. She wanted to tell me that paper didn't mean anything, but this paper is the way I got my license, social, and many other necessary documents changed. It also cost +$300 and is meant to be used for situations like these. But, I went to customer service (where I should've just gone to begin with ) and the Supervisor that she referred me to could READ! Yippee! It took him less than 5 minutes to read my document, see ID, and give me my money. This is why I'm leaving two stars instead of one. He was awesome and I could tell he was dealing with a lot. Can't remember his name, but he has a fro. I probably would've left three stars, but as I was leaving the money center (where the supervisor had brought me back to) Lois was harassing a couple about how old one of them was. Why? Come on, Lois. Customer Service is tricky, I know, but if you can't at least be friendly, don't work in it. Nobody waits an hour to have you be rude, nobody waits an hour to be screamed at, nobody waits an hour to experience your lack of reading comprehension skills. I recently ordered an item online for pickup at this location. When I arrived to pick my item up, the order had been canceled, because the item had been sold out. This was understandable, but the staff was not helpful at all. I asked if anyone could tell me if there would be more coming in, and I was told to look on the shelf, although I'd just been told they were out. (?) I asked if someone might help me find something similar, as I was wanting to buy something that day, and was told to look online. The item was a gift, and I had questions that no one wanted to answer. If they didn't have answers, they could have at least been friendly. I wouldn't waste my time there again. read more

Generally, I like shopping at Walmart but I just had a poor experience and am unable to get assistance. I and a number of grocery shoppers were finding that their pre packaged chicken smelled very spoiled but the expire date was still good. While there I asked the clerk in the meat dept. to check out the smell but he refused and pointed to the front of the store. Unfortunately, this Walmart doesn't require their employees to have a working knowledge of English so our conversation ended quickly. I decided to notify the grocery department when I got home but have had no success getting anyone on the phone.
