I recently visited Walmart and used the self-checkout area. I had approximately 20 small grocery items, including syrup and other small products. Before entering the checkout line, an associate named Shantee asked if I had 15 items. I replied that I had about that amount. Since there was no line waiting at the self-checkout, I felt I would not be delaying anyone and proceeded to check out. I completed my transaction in approximately two minutes, as I am a very quick scanner. After I finished, Shantee approached me and stated that I had over 20 items and that next time I should not use that checkout lane because I was holding up the line. At that point, there was no line behind me, and I acknowledged her comment by saying, "Okay, thank you." However, after I had already responded, she continued to repeat the issue multiple times and approached me with what I felt was an aggressive attitude and demeanor. I found the interaction unnecessary and upsetting. I understood her concern the first time it was mentioned, and there was no need to continue addressing it repeatedly. Because of how uncomfortable the interaction made me feel, I spoke with Team Lead Samantha. She listened to my concerns and apologized for the experience. I also explained that the store's security cameras would show that there was no line when I entered the self-checkout area. There were four self-checkout stations available, three customers were actively checking out, and one station was open, which is the one I used. I respectfully request that this matter be addressed with Shantee. If there is a policy regarding item limits, it can certainly be communicated professionally and respectfully. The issue was not that it was mentioned, but rather the manner in which it was repeatedly addressed and the aggressive approach that was taken. Oh - and they give it to you locked up safe in a box so that they can unlock it again at the register. If you have a party coming up and need a cake and/or cupcakes, DO NOT SLEEP ON WALMART! I trusted those tiktok videos of people recommending walmart and I'm so glad I did. I was quoted $100 from a private baker and in this economy... there was no way I was going to pay that much for a 6-8inch cake. I went to walmart about 2 weeks prior to the day of the event to place my order. I showed them a photo from pinterest of the cake I wanted, they took a pic of the inspo, noted all the colors and sayings I wanted on it. I also ordered cupcakes and surprisingly they can even custom the frosting style on those too! Although the frosting of the cupcakes or the colors of the cake weren't exact replicas of my inspo pictures, I was not upset of the outcome. I still found it beautifully done and you really cannot beat the price. I paid about $15 for a custom 6inch barrel cake and $14 for 2 dozen cupcakes! I bought extra items from etsy to put on top of the cake and friends/family really thought I paid at least $75 for the cake! But in reality even with the extra stuff, the cake was only a third of that. I will forever order my cakes and cupcakes from walmart from now on! read more

They seemed overstocked on everything! The greeter Gary was the highlight of the trip. He was so friendly, he greeted/thanked everyone differently. It's so hard to find employees along the shampoo and deodorant aisle also asked two employees for help and was told they couldn't help me or page for someone to assist me. I waited at self checkout with 15 items. Andrew (greeter) said 10 items or less. I said okay i will break it up into 2. He said no take your 10 items and carry to another line. I told him i will not carry 10 items as its impossible for me. (The other 5 items my husband already started scanning) I said what is the problem with me wait for the cart and scanning the items right after. He is watching either way.. he said no you cant do that. I stated again sir i cant carry 10 items. He said okay you dont wanna listen i can do better. And he cancelled our transaction as we were scanning and left us standing there. We went to speak to manager and he did nothing. I was on hold until 7min 20 secs. That was when customer service answered again. I asked to be connected to paint and after 15 more seconds passed electronics picked up. I asked then to connect me to paint and they did... or I thought they did. At 14 minutes total elapsed time I was in the store talking to a manager. Find the errors in all this. Purchased a Roku tv at this location back in December. Something recently happened to it. So I go in store to try and get a print out of a receipt of when I purchased it so I can get my replacement. I go to customer service. The lady there calls her manager. That manager says, what time and which register were you at? This is in December, all I know is that it was purchased at this location. I came in earlier today, maybe about 3:40 or so, not really looking for anything specific; but rather, what caught my eye. As I'm walking around the aisles, I can see that they are busy, which makes sense because it's raining. I go check out the underwear section, and I realize that, hey, i don't need them yet but it would be good to have some more. There is a button that says "press for service". I pressed the button once, wait awhile, no one shows up. Again, understood, they are busy. I wait like 5-10 minutes, pushing the button (because it deactivates after awhile), and still nothing. No one glimpses, or even says be with you in a moment, nothing. Perplexed, I walk around, and I see two associates, laughing and talking it up, not even properly working. They are in the section that I'm at, so I approach them and ask if any of them have the key. In an angry tone, one of them says "no, this is not my section, I cannot help you". This made me upset because one, you are around the section. Two, even if you're not in your assigned section, you could at the very least try to help the customer who's asking. Her attitude (and sadly I didn't get her name), made me so upset, that I left my shopping cart there and walked out. Walmart needs to retrain their employees in customer service. The controller that I purchased from this location was actually pretty good. but the flash drive that I bought was not correct. The package says it was one size but once I open it up and put it in my computer it was a completely different size than it did not work for what I was looking to get accomplished which was to get done at school project that I have been working on for multiple months I wish they did a better job providing you with all the accurate information. I get Covid test two times a week because I donate plasma. I always wear my mask and I'm totally fine with it. It hides my double chins it's become like my accessory, and how much money I have saved on lipstick you have no idea! I pushed off on getting vaccinated because Covid testing was just so easy for me . The Covid testing is literally Two blocks away. I always said that I would take it if I needed it for traveling. Will that time has come. When I was younger I used to always dream about being that kind of person that went to tropical places during Christmas. Last year I went to El Salvador during Christmas .It's so fun to see how people celebrate Christmas in other places. I loved that it was hot beach weather . It was like a never ending summer.. I was so excited to yelp worldwide just to find out the yelp didn't exist in El Salvador. Which is really sad because I stayed in some amazing beach resorts for such a low cost . The-yelp world should know about it. Anyways this year my best friend invited my mother and I to her hometown Hawaii . Here we know that Christmas , Will be green and bright The sun to shine by day , And all the stars at night , Mele Kalikimaka is Hawaii's way , To say Merry Christmas !! You know the song. So excited to feel the Christmas vibe in Hawaii. So thank you Walmart for having the vaccination that I needed on the busiest shopping day of the year black Friday. I've been to a lot of bad Walmarts. This one in Paramount is pretty terrible. Cleanliness isn't a priority. Nothing is priced correctly and they removed the scanners so it makes it tough to shop. While here this morning, The Lady in front of us had Alott! Of items (not the issue) the issue is her being on her phone (the worker) instead of checking the lady out and having a line behind her. Shes on her phone for about 2 minutes while we are standing there (has been on her phone since we walked up) then while in the mist of checking us out now. Beyond disgruntled with this location. I waited 20 minutes for someone to open the case with the gain pods. Even then no one came to open it. I looked for an associate and was let known that there is only one person with a key to open it in the entire store. I missed out on the 60+ pods for $15 behind the case and had to settle for the 30+ pods for $10 all because no one could come open the case for me.
