The service has really gone down at Target. Took my son here to buy clothes but the fitting room was closed. It's 5 PM and a chain across the fitting room area. When I ask if somebody can let us in the fitting room, they say it's closed so I asked when is it going to be open? They said "they make their own hours". It's just random so there's no way to know. I had a very disappointing experience at this Target location. I went in to buy a toy for my son as a reward for doing well in school -- just a simple treat. At self-checkout, I noticed that the price I paid didn't match the lower price shown on my Target app. I asked a woman at self-checkout (Felicia, who I believe is a manager) about it. She asked if I had scanned my app, and I told her I entered my phone number since that's what it prompted. She scanned the item and said it was full price. I accepted that at first, but after checking further on my app, I realized the toy was on sale. I went to customer service to ask for a price adjustment. The person there wasn't very friendly and told me I'd have to return the item, buy it again online, and come back two hours later to pick it up. I asked to speak with someone else, and Felicia came over again -- visibly annoyed to see me. She spoke to me slowly and repeated herself in a condescending tone, as if I didn't understand her. I stayed calm, but the whole interaction left me feeling disrespected. Honestly feel like all Target locations have crazy full parking, this one is no different. Makes me wonder if the mess in the store is lack of employees, lazy employees or just nasty customers. Don't get me started with the cosmetics section. Such a mess! No products on the shelves, if you do find something it's open or in the wrong spot. The deodorant section was a hot mess. I never shop at this Target in store, I usually only go here just to do order pick ups. It's a little inconvenient coming to this store because they only have one entrance and one exit. I'm still giving it 5 stars because the staff is always so friendly when they bring out my order to drive up and in a timely manner. I appreciate Target having the drive up option. It's a huge help especially when you have kids. I do not feel safe shopping with kids without my husband with the way things are going right now I rather do order pick ups. Just went through 45 minutes of frustration and exasperation. The manager decided to do block parking and make a drive through for driver pickup, causing traffic issues into the target. The line was backed up over the bridge, nevermind battling the jerks who were cutting in trying to be slick. You had everyone in the same drive through line as the normal shoppers who just wanted to go in the store.This caused delays for people just trying to park to go into the store. The workers who take your stuff to your car were so backed up, bags were piled everywhere. After 30 minutes of waiting in the infernal line, you got to wait an additional insurmountable amount of time for your items, because the runners were so backed up. That manager should be fired! Honestly so annoying how under staffed it is everywhere you go. There are no indicators on where a line starts and where it ends.... So disorganized and dirty. The black man who I am assuming is manager at the store came up to us and said "Where did you come from?!" I'm truly disappointed about my experience tonight at my local store. I'm not sure what level of leadership 'Daniel' is in, but his position needs to be reevaluated. I was shopping at Target with my boyfriend for Christmas decorations and we were happily surprised to see signs around their Christmas area saying the "Wondershop" brand & others were on sale until Saturday, 11/16. When I was being rung up, an associate came over and was telling the cashier that not all items from the "Wondershop" brand were on sale. I, too, work in retail management at Ulta and we have similar signage throughout my store, so I was mindful to check on the signs if exclusions applied, which they didn't. I went back to the department to take photos of the signs to show the 2nd associate. She called a "'manager" or leader of some kind over to assist. I was calm and spoke to him about the signs not being clear about the promotion and showed him the photos, and he proceeded to tell me that it was only the items listed at the end of the sign were on sale (see photo) but mind you, in an extremely condescending tone. The signs stated: Wondershop AND Philips Holiday Lighting/ Trees, etc were 50% off. I even asked him if he could understand our view on why the signs weren't clear, and he stated "the sign says that the trees are 50% off, is this a tree?" pointing to the gift bags in my cart. There was no reason for him to speak to us that way and make us feel stupid when the signs were not clear, and again, we weren't being rude in any way to deserve that. I truly don't appreciate being spoken to this way, and I understand if people try to finesse and get a better deal, but this was not the case. My total was over $230 before everything was scanned even, so money was not the issue! I wish he would have spoke to me with kindness or a different tone instead of the rather. He showed no attempt to explain that it wasn't something he could authorize or apologize for it being incorrect, but instead just continued to repeat what was on the signs over and over again. I have high expectations for Target as a company and expect their management to be respectful when handling guest concerns. read more

Now, I LOVE ME some Target! I am at a Target pretty much every week. I have a family of six, so I can pretty much get most of what I need for my family at Target, no problem. But this particular Target, on the Norwalk/ Downey border on Firestone... Y'all got some issues... My usual Target time is after I drop off the boys at school in the morning. Most times, I have a full cart. If you plan on getting a full cart at THIS Target in the mornings, DON'T. They really only have self check out lines available, and if you ask them to open up a regular register, you'll be told no one is available. I had a full cart this morning, and I asked the guy if he expected me to fit my full cart on the tiny self check out deal. He said that I could try. One minute into me unloading my full cart in self checkout, they open register 4. Great. And then you can't get cash back on most of the self check registers, so... Plan accordingly, Yelp*ers. If you have a small list, then this Target is the one to go to. If you have a full cart like I usually do, there's another Target on the opposite side of Firestone, or you can go to the Cerritos store. Now maybe it was my bad for not planning accordingly myself, but if the self check out line is filling up, and a avid paying customer asks if a regular register can open up, maybe a quick "chirp chirp" on those walkie-talkies can be made... read more

This location is real selective with checking receipts. I was shopping for my household. As we were finishing up at the register spending $300 I noticed the security coming out from their office. He stood there letting shoppers leave without checking the receipts but when it was time for us (Afro-American) to leave he instantly asked for our receipt. This target is like the ex you keep going back to because you think it's easy and convenient but you just end up getting screwed over every single time!! Drive Up orders take MORE than the estimated time, always! If an item is out of stock they'll hold your order for hours until they cancel the item. IF you finally make it to the final stage to pick up, the staff takes FOREVER to bring you the order. I've waited up to 20 minutes at some point. If your store isn't competent enough for this service, then don't provide it! Inside of the store seems to always be packed and lines can take some time. I placed an order today that again was not fulfilled for HOURS. I'm done with this location. Go anywhere else but this Target. read more

The staff here is SUPER unprofessional especially at the front counter. I went here to try out the "order pick up" option they have to offer for my first time and was told I needed to wait in a LONGGG line to pick up my items that were already purchased. Skinny petite dark haired bob styled haircut with long nails is the employee who was extremely rude. This place is filled with little kids as employees walking / sitting around cursing up a storm and seeing you waiting at the order pick up counter and no checking up if I've been helped or not. Upon telling her super, the super said that I am not able to request the type of bills in my change. I work at Target and know for a fact that this is a lie. Her super was just too lazy to go to another register to switch out one of her larger bills for $1. I understand it gets busy and you get tired, however that should not impact the quality at which you help guest. The store moreover was just filthy and unorganized everywhere. Let me start with saying, this is my favorite target to go to. It's a large location and it always organized and clean. There's this one girl too, Diana, she's mostly a barista but I've also seen her working in the main target area. She is always so helpful and so kind. Clearly she's a hard worker and someone who really seems to love her job. It's always a nice experience when you can see it in their work ethic and their smiles when they're working. She's one of the many employees at this location who make it worth the drive (I live in Whittier, but the closer locations are a bit disorganized).
