Walmart has most everything you may looking for. Staff is very helpful too. They keep the store very clean and tidy.

It's Walmart, so my expectations aren't very high. But when I go in at 8:15 AM, pick up a couple things and head to the checkouts, it's pretty disgusting to see that a grand total of TWO self-checkouts are open. TWO. Out of approximately FORTY checkout lanes, they have TWO open. And they absolutely do NOT care that people are backed clear out into the main grocery aisle waiting to check out. So out of curiosity I called the store. After nobody answering the phone until after noon, I ended up connected to a lazy, snotty, apathetic girl who literally laughed at me when I told her why I was calling. Pleasantly surprised or maybe it was the time of the day. It really looks like they are trying hard to clean, keep organize and stocked. Visited this store yesterday 7/20/2022 4:30pm. Decently stocked and all of the basic stuff available:eggs, milk, bread, etc.... Saw staff cleaning floors, and stocking what I assume are the items on hand. My only complaint is checkout, self checkout primarily even though I did see 2 regular registers open. Line was long but moved swiftly. Sorry but I need to vent Walmart needs a Complaint Department!I went to Walmart to get a few things. When I went to check out (self) the second item was priced wrong. The same for the next one. I asked the girl watching on her phone to help. Told her the issue, her response was."What am I supposed to do about it?". My response was I can't either so get it fixed or find someone who can. She said I can't leave here. Ok??? Then I proceeded to ring a few more things. Came to more things priced wrong. So I took all the items I had, put them on the belt. Noe the girl returns with another lady. The new lady Rudy asks what item are we removing? I said all of them. I was so done with the attitudes and the pricing issues I said cancel the order. I went to this Walmart a few weeks ago to see if I could get an awesome deal that I heard about on the internet. I wasn't able to. I walk to the Electronics section, where the camera was and looked around and didn't find anything. I asked one of the associates to help me find it. We walked over to the cameras and it wasn't there so he went into the back and looked for it, which I strongly appreciated. All in all, I didn't get the camera, but the associate that helped me went above and beyond, in my Walmart opinion, to see if he could find the camera. All in all, I'm never near this Walmart but if I had to go back, I wouldn't be opposed to it. read more

Wish I could give this store a one star because it was the worst Walmart I've ever been to. The workers were horribly slow and disrespectful, wouldn't acknowledge you or even do their jobs. I think this is my first Walmart review. Cool. In fact, it's the first Walmart I've even gone to in a couple of years. First off, this Walmart revitalized a dilapidated strip mall near 52nd and Ames. A strip mall that used to be anchored by a nice Baker's surrounded by a variety of other small businesses. I used to frequent the area a lot more when I was went to school at nearby North High. But sadly, Baker's moved to 72nd and Ames, some other crappy supermarket moved in and quickly closed, and so did the rest of the surrounding businesses. Now I'm not a big fan of Walmart, but this location is exactly what the surrounding neighborhood needed, as the nearest grocery and big box retailer are miles away in any particular direction. Let's face it, Walmart has some good deals at times. I was being a nerd and looking for Nintendo Amiibo toys and Walmart had an exclusive Gold Mario figure I was trying to snag. (Learning more about Amiibos, I realized this was laughable because new releases sell out instantly across the country.) Anyway, this Walmart was bustling with activity. It was clean and spacious. Really, it was exactly like every other Walmart I've ever been to, love or hate them. Expect for maybe that one in South Caroline that sold boiled peanuts out front. That was awesome. Pros? Close to home, not as crowded as some of the others Walmarts. Cons? It's Walmart. read more

Yeah it's Walmart so already you need to lower your standards, beyond that... lower them some more because this store is bad. This store isn't close to me and I've only been here three times but each time I have my experience gets worse. Pros: Clean Organized Wide isles Cons: Rude Staff Slow Service Expired Food Lacking wheelchairs ...everything else? This time however I had to return some milk. Yes I know, but I bought milk at another Walmart and when I opened it at home, it was obviously bad. The older lady working the door was far too busy to care about me to give me a sticker. When I finally asked for one she's like "for what... milk..? you're really going to return that?" With a disgusting tone of voice and look on her face. I replied with yes not feeling like telling her why. The customer service lady didn't blink an eye so why does the door greeter have to harass me about it? My second complaint is a lack of wheelchairs. Unfortunately I have back issues and depending on the day walking can be a bit of an issue, today was a bad day and this store was lacking in wheelchairs. I didn't see a single person using one. There were at least 3 of us who went without. (an older man with a cane, a guy on crutches with 1 leg, and myself) While looking around the grocery section I noticed that while everything was organized a few of the things I wanted were actually expired. (juice and cookies) At that point I decided to skip the food. I used self checkout, because let's face it at this point I'm feeling a bit anti-social from all the heart warming customer service, and that goes smoothly. I get over to the door and again the oh so friendly door greeter now want to see my receipt because I have a bottle of floor cleaner that doesn't quite fit into the bag... are you serious. I'm like "Why? do you think I stole it?" her response was "well I need to make sure you actually paid for it". Yep now you're accusing me of stealing... fantastic. I showed her my receipt (spoilers: I didn't steal the soap!! dun dun dun!!) and was so close to leaving but... Then the fun part (as if the rest of it wasn't exciting enough). I had to pick up something from walmart.com this was the whole reason I was at this store as they were the ONLY one in a 30 mile radius to have this item and I needed it before I moved: it was a large sized Coleman cooler. Walmart.com had the item for $49 cheaper than the in store price so I did pick up today. Their pick up today area is right inside the GM side entrance... with no one in sight. No problem you normally click the "need help" button and someone comes over. Well I click it 3 times and each time after 5 minutes it would reset itself because the CSMs were ignoring it. I know this because I could see them standing over there chatting away ignoring every thing. Annoying rude door greeter lady asked the vision center to page overhead, which she did. 7 minutes later I then go to the vision center and have her page a manager because at this point I'm up to 18 minutes of waiting to even be acknowledged by someone for help. Nothing. At this point a CSM is walking down to help a cashier at which point I glared at her and she's like "what you need help?" No lady I'm just standing at the freaking site to store area sight seeing, OF COURSE I NEED HELP!... I wanted to scream, but I was calm. Then as shes walking by the vision center the lady said something to the effect of "bout time you came to help her" at which point they start arguing. So now I get to stand here for 2 minutes and watch them argue back and forth about how the CSM doesn't think the vision center lady paged on the overhead (which she did). Am I being punked, I mean come on guys. She finally comes over to me and "apologizes" at this point it was 28 minutes into this ordeal. I should also point out I called the store number 7 times and no one ever answered. I could hear the phones ringing in the fitting room and after they didn't pick up it would ring in customer service and still they ignored it. When the touch screen would page a CSM on their palm pilot.. I could hear it constantly dinging while they stood there and chatted. Then the CSM confesses she doesn't know how to do it and then by happenstance a manager shows up to get a battery and has to help her. Finally they bring out my cooler and it has marks and stains on it. Just great. -_- I took the cooler and left because my back is killing me at this point and I need to go home and take some medication. So here I am with a junky looking cooler that I will have to return to walmart, except not this one for obvious reasons. Besides all of this some of the customer are a little... sketchy.. looking/acting so I'd watch your wallets if I were you. Call me paranoid if you want. read more

I would like to fault the employees of this Wal Mart for my mediocre experience. Sadly, it is clear that the problem lies with management. Only 1 Lane open, funneling customers into the self check out. Self checkout constantly malfunctions, causing the only employee working there to deal with multiple (read that 3 - 4 a minute) malfunctions. I had always thought that self checkout was meant for convenience; I really felt inconvenienced. Like I said, I can't blame the poor guy running around to 8 different self checkout registers for being snippy. Management needs to address this issue. I have hope that this store will help change the stigma of this neighborhood for the sake of the good people who live here. read more

It's the absolute worst place to shop at in the country. I walk in you have a employee yelling at the top of his lungs you got f%$&*d up also they can fire me I don't give a f*^# it was dirty and unstocked employees with pallet Jack's pushing customers out of the way. Asked for help with finding calking was told it's in back by electronics no it wasn't it was on a different side. no carts had to go get one from the parking lot they probably won't be open very much longer with that type of employees I know that it's hard to find good people but the man yelling looks like a man who don't want to be there no name on his name tag shirt appearance was untucked and wrinkled he was working the self check out on the east side of the store it had to be the worst shopping experience I have ever had I will tell everyone I know that the store is terrible and unsafe as I was leaving the greeter stopped me to check my receipts and had a Malcolm x hat said he had to check everything in the sacks in everyone's bags I didn't get my m&m's back I just wanted to leave I was the only one that he checked like that I was treated like I was stealing and I decided I will never spend another dime with Walmart if Sam knew what was going on he personally would have fired some people on the spot having met him I think that it would have him boiling mad he was one of the most customer oriented people I had ever met to see his store like that he'd be turning in his grave. if i could give them 00000 stars i would!! don't go to walmart on ames!! i have been a loyal customer for 4 going on 5 years now! i spend hundreds and hundreds of dollars there every week. and they had the nerve to pull me to the police room because they "thought" i stole something. when i indeed did not steal anything. it was the most humiliating moment of my life. and guess what, they looked real stupid when they checked my bags and receipts and guess what i paid for everything because i'm not a thief. all they could say was sorry for the inconvenience. not even a im sorry that we embarrassed you. no real im sorry. they literally said sorry for the inconvenience because they had too!! if you are going to accuse anyone for stealing you should have 100% proof before dragging them across the store in front of god and every body and embarrassing tf out of that person. there was parents of kids that my child goes to school with, there that seen it! i tried to ask what was going on before they rudely drug me across the store. and calmly told them i have my recipts right here you can check, so that i didn't get humiliated and literally drug across walmart. they did not care! they took my cart that had my purse, phone, wallet and keys in it.. i have never been so mortified!! i tried to call the store to talk to them about it and guess what, i got hung up on 4 times! this is harrassment! i was beyond embarrassed and humiliated! for no reason! get it together walmart! oh and p.s. i called the support team and i will be speaking to a gm and i hope all your security that was working today gets fired. so unless you want falsely accused of stealing and getting dragged across walmart infront of every one being utterly humiliated then i suggest you dont go to this walmart! they will harrass you! read more

No...just no...I thought this store was going to be different...I thought, "new store, new attitudes". It turns out I was wrong. Apparently, it truly is location, location, location... This store has not even been open a full month and already I have noticed several issues with the employees...namely the customer service skills of these employees. First incident was after the store was open about a week. I went in to buy a couple of items. As I was walking by one of the endcaps, I noticed that there was a spill in the main aisle. As I walked up and paid for my items at the self checkout, I told the cashier, expecting her to call for clean up or get on a radio...Something, anything...She looked at me and said, "Oh, ok." Really? It wasn't until I was leaving that she made an "attempt" to get it cleaned up...She told a security guard to tell someone else to clean it up. Second incident was about 3 days ago. I went in to look for shoes. First of all, there was nobody whatsoever in the shoe department. Problem number one. As I made my way down the aisle, I happened to look down at the floor. Can anyone guess what I found on the floor? I found a boxcutter, bright yellow, on the floor. Needless to say, I was very disappointed. I tracked down a manager and proceeded to explain to him why I was upset. I am the mother of a young child, so I can, and often do, imagine the worst. I was imagining my young child walking through this aisle. He happens to look down and see something brightly colored on the floor. Young child, bright colors, instant attraction. Child picks up blade and cuts himself or someone else. Horrific for the parent, bad news for Walmart. Third instance is every time I go to this Walmart. Ever since we had this piling of snow out here, I can't make my way through the parking lot because of all the poorly plowed snow. While this is more of the fault of the company who is contracted by Walmart, it is the fault of Walmart's employees that the cart corrals are overflowing with carts and there are carts everywhere in the parking lot. I really don't like the fact that in less than a month of being open, this store alone has already fired over 150 employees due to internal theft. I was really hoping this store would be different. I do have one positive thing to say about this store, though. Upon moving back into Nebraska, it was cold but not snowing anymore, until recently. Like any normal person who lives in cold weather, I expected there to be winter gear like gloves and hats, because winter was and still is not, over yet. I spent the better part of an hour looking around the store for these couple of items. I thank the awesome persistance of one certain employee. Unfortunately, I never caught her name, and I never found these items. She went above and beyond to try to find these elusive gloves. She went in the backroom, enlisted the assistance of another associate, and even searched for me around the store when I moved to a different area. If I ever see this person again, I will update this with her name. She is a ray of light at this Walmart. That is the only reason I gave this review any stars at all. Thank you again. read more

Horrible! Worst shopping experience of my life, and believe me, I've been to some crappy Walmarts. First, I walked into the store and was greeted with the lovely scent of smoke from all the employees smoking right next to the door. Wonderful! Then, I went to shoe section to look for some flip flops, which are in basically every store. Apparently all they could keep in stock are ratchet gross camo slippers. After that, I went to go get a phone screen cover from the electronics section. After finding one, I went to put it in my basket when I realized it was locked on the shelf! This is ridiculous, it was a cheap plastic 8 dollar cover! Then, I had to ask an employee to unlock it, which I didn't even want to talk to anyone in the first place, I just wanted to get my stuff and go, which is apparently too much to ask. After waiting for like 10 minutes for them to get the keys to unlock the stupid phone case, I was tempted to just go to Target already. Right when I was about to leave, the employee returned, unlocked the case, and I was ready to go to the checkout. Then, he said that I can't take it to check out because I'm going to steal a cheap little phone case. If anyone's going to steal anything, it would've been him. So then, I couldn't even go to the self checkout because apparently he had brought the phone to another check out. I had to wait in that line whole some guy asked for like 200$ back. Then when I had paid, I realized the phone case was sitting behind the counter. Therefore, I had to pay twice, and ended up with a bunch of extra change that I didn't want. Also, there were these sketchy drunk guys behind us. Actually, everybody in the store was sketchy, but none more so than the employees. After I had finally left that hellhole, I was greeted by the sweet sound of extremely loud weed-smoking music. As I walked to my car, I realized some idiot had parked next to me when there was a whole parking lot free. I really didn't want to get door dings but apparently, other people don't care about their cars. I was so glad to finally leave that Walmart and will not be returning. The only time I ever want to see that place again is in my nightmares. read more
