I really appreciate the variety and selection Aldi has. Granted that all locations will be different and with have a slightly altered set up, I definitely have a favorite location. Aldi has been a life saver for my college student budget when it comes to groceries. I have planned so many tasty meals that I wouldn't have been able to afford anywhere else. I'm an individual who goes after having a little better food in my body in order to have a better mental and physical outcome. I've been to other Aldi locations many times, (50+) but first time to this location. Lets get some things straight about Aldi in general: -You need $.25 to get a cart (you get it back after you put the cart back) -You have to pay ~$.1 per bag if you don't bring your own -They don't have a ton of "name brand" items -To be most efficient you bag your own groceries after your check out I have no issues with any of the above things, and if neither do you, you should shop here. I want diverse items at a great price and having gone weekly to Aldi for over a year, they have delivered. You will be hard pressed to find all the items elsewhere at this price - Yes, sometimes some of the produce is older, etc, but that can be the nature of produce in general. For the price, (often times less than $1/lb for grapes as an example), I'll take 3% old grapes that i have to toss. read more

Curbside/delivery I'm a big fan of ALDIs. I broke my arm and I just cannot shop with my two year old at the moment. Last week I did the delivery service. The first time was free and after it's 3.99 and a tip for the driver. They use some sort of service like Uber. The gentleman shopped my items and then delivered within 35 minutes. Today I used the curbside pickup to see if it was convenient like other stores. It was. I made sure to buy shopping bags in my order. Not sure what would have happened if I didn't. I would recommend either service. read more

I would like to make a complaint on a cashier named Raven. We spend a lot of money in all days that's on main grocery store and she was extremely rude this morning talking under her breath about us. My ex looked around to the front of the register to see the amount that we were being charged because he couldn't see the amount on the other side and she made a smart-ass comment to him under her breath and I thought it was very rude then she went on to not saying have a good day or anything just smug and smart ass. That is not the customer service I expect from my all day store. I would suggest to remove her as a cashier and keep her in the back so she can't insult anybody. Thank you for your time read more

I wasn't super impressed. Aldi has been trying to change their imagine over the past view years as a slightly lesser Trader Joe's but a step above their previous welfare image. The store is filled mostly with off brand (their brand) items which aren't usually the best from what I've found. Specific to this location parking can be dumb. We came there during a somewhat busy time. They only had 1 cashier (not uncommon for Aldi) so checkout was less than fun. We got some pork jerky which never EVER get it. Gosh it horrible. Aldi (Like TJ) has a love it or return it policy. After having just spend $9 on jerky even my garbage disposal of a husband refused to eat he went inside to get a refund. That took WAY longer than a return ever should and he told me the person who helped him was extreme rude. If it wasn't for the principle of it all I probably wouldn't have returned it. The produce on this day was subpar. Maybe this was due to it being the day before the ads swapped I'm not sure. This location has always had an issue with produce quality in my opinion and slapping a fresh coat of paint on the building didn't help this. If you're hard up and need to save a few bucks on Groceries and understand you might not get the best quality then I'd recommend Aldis. If this is too much for you I'd say stay away. Aldi is great for what its worth. It's a very cheap, off-brand grocery store. The employees are always nice and helpful and the place is clean. One odd thing is that you deposit a quarter for a cart, which you get back when you return it and you have to bring your own grocery bags or buy reusable ones there. At first I thought this was odd, but after purchasing a couple $1 reusable grocery bags and leaving them in my car, I love it. And Aldi accepts only Debit cards and cash, which again, I had a problem with at first but got used to it to get the amazing prices. Their weekly produce sales are outrageously awesome. A pound of strawberries for only .99 cents. A whole pineapple for $1.99. These prices are the reason why I see myself stopping by Aldi almost every week. Their other food items are cheap as well. A gallon of milk is $1.99 when its on sale, ($2.99 otherwise, which is still cheap), hot dog buns and hamburger buns are around a dollar. I will be continuing to come to Aldi for as long as its there. read more

The Aldi's in Council Bluffs is much improved. Since it's glorious makeover, the store's atmosphere is a lot more suitable. I go to Aldis mainly for my produce. They usually have inexpensive fruits and vegetable, which make eating healthy super easy. Some of the prices on other items are drastically lower than department stores. These include cream cheese, milk (as low as $1.99 for a gallon, compared to $4.00) and heavy whipping cream ($1.99 compared to $4.99). There are some downsides. Customers have to deposit a quarter to get a cart, which you get back at the end of your trip. Aldis only accepts debit cards or cash, not credit cards. You have to buy your plastic/paper bags, or bring your own. The cliental, at times, can be a little shady as well. The staff is always friendly, though they may not have people actually working out on the floor. read more

This IS the place to shop....period. They have absolutely everything a family needs without all the frills, advertising and high prices. The quality is excellent and the coffee is not too bad either. Since it's owned by the same company as Trader Joe, the service and selection is fantastic. And also since it's based in Germany, lots of great German goods! Love it here! Save money eat better and low drag all the way across the board. read more

Decent Aldi. The whole place is super updated and they have a huge selection in comparison to some of the other ones. The prices seem higher than other locations such as the Aldi on 90th. The staff here are always friendly and the place is nice and clean so I love coming here. One of the very few reasons I cross the bridge into council bluffs read more

I am a big fan of Aldi and shop there regularly. My only complaint is that if you find an error on your receipt, you can't call the store. Their numbers for local stores are unlisted. I live a half hour away and only go to the town where it is located once a week. If you buy something marked down but you were charged the higher price by the next week it may no longer be around so then you can't verify the markdown. You have to email customer service and hope someone can maybe help you. I don't always have the time to sit in my car and review the receipt each time I go, but I guess from now on I will make it a point if I buy something marked down. Otherwise, I am pleased with the choices and the prices and quality. read more

For literally decades, myself, my friends and my parents, etc. have seen -- increasingly -- a lot of savings and very nice quality of product at this chain while saving money. Know the right day and time of day and you'll get through the line quicker, but even @ busy times, I've only experienced 2 rude cashiers in 30+ years. The savings Aldi provides is absolutely amazing!! Many products cost half of what they do at other grocery stores. I love Aldi!!! :)
